"spirit of error" (1 John 4:6) news updates

Evidently the ol' 'homosexual debate' is so passe' that the time has now come to break some new ground in the ongoing corruption of the final state of Christendom...known as the Laodicean church. fyi

Transgender Talks Begin at United Methodist Meeting: source

"Hundreds of United Methodists have begun looking over some 1,500 petitions that have been proposed by those seeking change in church policies and structures, among other things, during the church's quadrennial gathering."

"Debates on whether gay Christians can be ordained as clergy have gone on for decades in the denomination and most recently, controversy has erupted over transgendered persons."

"The Rev. Drew Phoenix, pastor of St. John's United Methodist Church in Baltimore, sparked debate when the transgender minister was allowed last year to remain pastor of the church. Phoenix, who previously led the church as the Rev. Ann Gordon, underwent surgery and hormone therapy to become male."

"Phoenix argues that transgenderism is compatible with Christian teaching."

""It was in the context of my faith in Christ, led by the Spirit, that I made the transition (of gender)," Phoenix said. “We want to be known as the children God created us to be. That’s been my experience with my church, across the board.""

Led by the 'spirit' to make the gender transition?

Yes, probably so. Only thing about it though.....it certainly was not the Holy Spirit, that is not possible. No, this falls clearly into the realm of that "another spirit" that the apostle Paul wrote of:

2 Cor. 11: 3-4 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtlety, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.

Rev. 18:4

2Tim3:1-5 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection ,trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God: Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

In reference to 2Tim3:3 i notice that the KJV states "w/o natural affection", but in NKJV & NASB it is stated "unloving" and in NIV it is "without love".

These seem to be very different in meaning.

re: different in meaning

Very good point.."unloving" and/or "without love" opens that door wide...just needs a loose liberal interpretation of 'love' and you can run wild with it..to your own destruction..

another proof of the corruption of the non KJV Westcott and Hort imitation bibles...

the Non-Inspired-Version (NIV); the Not-A-Solid-Bible (NASB) version; and the other one that pretends to be but is not and is definitely No-King-James-Version (NKJV); they are all faulty lamps unto the feet, barely flickering if at all...not to be trusted.
