On December 10, 2025, the Trump Administration announced a new plan to heighten the screening requirements for temporary visitors from visa-waiver countries as part of the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA). Under the proposal, the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) would for the first time require visitors from close partner countries that participate in ESTA to provide social media data and other personally identifying information to the government.

CBP explained that the requirement to scrutinize social media information was necessary to comply with Executive Order 14161, “Protecting the United States form Foreign Terrorists and Other National Security and Public Safety Threats.”

A punitive road pricing scheme aimed at forcing people out of their cars could see commuters paying €38 to drive to work.

Project Bruce (which stands for ‘better road user charging evaluation’) was set up under TII to address the climate challenge.

A single journey from Maynooth into Central Dublin would cost €38 while a trip from Cork to Dublin would cost €163 under a ‘Road Usage Charge’ being considered by the State’s transport infrastructure body.

The Exchequer is facing a shortfall of between €1.5billion and €3billion in lost revenue from road tax and fuel duty receipts as drivers switch to electric vehicles. Government-backed Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) has been tasked with finding ways to address the funding gap in tandem with cutting harmful emissions from transport by 50% by 2030. One of the measures under consideration would be to charge motorists for using the national roads network.

Sources said while the work on the project is long-term, ‘fundamental and profound’ changes are on the way.

‘The thinkers in the Department of Finance and Department of Transport said: “Let’s get research on this.” And road pricing all across Europe and the world is where people are going. That’s what we are looking at.’

Countries and cities around the world are looking at similar models. In Australia, EV cars are charged on a distance-based system, with the Netherlands implementing road pricing in 2030. Hawaii has also had RUC pilots.

This second article looks at how exactly the new CBP [U.S. Customs and Border Protection] system is set up. Very briefly, an existing 2017 law put in place mandatory facial ID for foreigners - having to submit to being photographed at the airport by CBP. US citizens can decline and opt-out of having the CBP airport-photo taken. Existing images are available from other sources though, which in the coming 2021 system, CBP has unilaterally claimed as their 'right' to access and use. In other words they do not need to take a photo of a person on the spot for their own CBP system because those photos already exist in other databanks and they are going to use them. Is that even legal? - and can you opt-out? Answer: the legalities are not really being addressed; and they changed the wording on the existing 2017 law to purposely obfuscate the answer on whether opting-out is possible and if so how it could be done:

Officials unveil new facial recognition system at Dulles International Airport

[excerpted]  "...officials on Thursday unveiled a new system that eventually will replace boarding passes with facial scans for international travelers at Washington Dulles International Airport.

Instead of pulling out their passports and handing over a boarding pass, travelers will instead have their faces scanned...then be matched with a collection of photos maintained by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection agency.

"CBP and our airport and airlines partners are redefining travel by using biometric technology to add convenience, efficiency and security to international arrivals and departures,” CBP Commissioner Kevin K. McAleenan said at the event, which included a demonstration of the new technology.

Dulles... is one of several airports using scans ...But civil liberties groups and privacy advocates fear that the technology is too intrusive and could be misused...

The technology is already being used by two international carriers at Dulles — SAS and Air France-KLM...United Airlines is also using the technology on select international flights.

U.S. citizens can opt out of being photographed, but non-U.S. citizens are required to have their pictures taken. Images of U.S. citizens are held for 12 hours and then discarded. Travelers who declined to have their faces scanned will have their identity confirmed manually..."

The 'follow up' linked above (1st link) was only ten months ago. It was an announcement of the TSA intent to roll out facial recognition at all US airports. Clearly that 'airport rollout' has now begun. Running the 'sheep'-le through the counting gates. The posted video makes that very evident. Mandatory for non-citizens on international travel here at the outset, optional for US citizens (presently) - many doubtless who will go along without a second thought for the sake of perceived 'convenience'.

Interesting to note also Walmart recently installed new self-checkout machines in some stores that put a video of the customer on the screen while making the purchase. Privatization of air traffic control is an idea long supported by most of the commercial airlines. Executives from those companies joined the president at the White House to announce the plan.

But some groups have been critical of efforts to privatize air traffic control operations, saying it gives the airlines too much control over the system for their own benefit.

The group Flyers' Rights calls it the "creation of an airline controlled corporate monopoly." It also says privatizing air traffic control amounts to "handing the airlines (for free) control over a core public asset, and providing them nearly unbridled power to extract new fees and increased taxes from passengers."

The Senate Transportation Committee will discuss the proposal on Wednesday, with Trump's Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao* testifying. Chao will again address the issue before the House Transportation Committee on Thursday.

This plan is part of Trump's broader infrastructure vision... Trump will be in Cincinnati on Wednesday to continue talking about infrastructure, focusing on inland waterways on the Ohio River including aging dams.

British Airways introduces boarding without passports as it installs facial recognition at Heathrow

British Airways is introducing technology that will allow passengers to go through boarding gates at Heathrow using facial recognition.

Biometric devices in Terminal 5 will capture a traveller’s features along with the boarding pass, and then a facial scan at the gate verifies the person’s identity, allowing them to get on the plane without showing documents, BA said in a letter to staff.

The system is designed to speed up boarding and reduce errors, it said. Three gates are now using the equipment, with another 33 planned in the coming months.

Troy Warfield, director of customer experience at BA, said the new self-boarding gates and self-serve bag drop points were ways to invest in what customers "value most".

Want to make sure you sit next to your children on a flight? On some airlines, there’s a fee for that...Now, on United Airlines, you won’t necessarily get the use of an overhead bin, without paying more money.

As part of the company’s new pricing tier, Basic Economy passengers who purchase the airline’s cheapest fares will only be allowed one personal item that must fit under a seat. Additionally, customers will not be assigned seats until the day of departure, meaning people on the same ticket could be separated.



The move marks the first time a large U.S. airline limits low-fare customers to one carry on-bag that fits under a seat.

It was not immediately clear if United’s announcement would prompt rivals to make similar moves. Airlines have previously copied each other on pricing strategies, such as adding fees for checked luggage.

While the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has promoted widespread use of body-imaging scanners for years, they allowed passengers to opt out of the scan and undergo a pat-down by a TSA agent instead. A new privacy assessment by the Department of Homeland Security, however, says the scanners no longer violate the privacy of individuals, and allows the TSA to refuse opt-outs on certain occasions.

“While passengers may generally decline AIT screening in favor of physical screening, TSA may direct mandatory AIT screening for some passengers,” says a Privacy Impact Assessment Update signed by DHS Chief Privacy Officer Karen L. Neuman, using the acronym for Advanced Imaging Technology to refer to scanners.

TSA union calls for arming some airport employees

Washington (CNN) In the wake of a violent machete attack at a airport security checkpoint, the union that represents Transportation Security Administration officers is calling for a new elite force that would be armed and authorized to use deadly force at airports across the U.S.

Currently, the union says, those powers are relegated to a patchwork of local police forces who don't report to the TSA.

J. David Cox, national president of the American Federation of Government Employees, said TSA employees are banned from carrying weapons despite being on the front lines of aviation security.

"The employees that do the screening at all the airports now twice have become the victims and become the targets of people that want to do harm," he said.

The other incident he is referring to happened two years ago when an armed suspect at Los Angeles International Airport shot and killed a TSA officer and ran through a security checkpoint and terrorized passengers before being arrested and charged by Los Angeles Airport Police.

"We have had one of our employees murdered in Los Angeles. We had an attempted murder this Friday in New Orleans. We need law enforcement there that is ready to respond," Cox said. "Sure in New Orleans, the local law enforcement responded to the incident, but we're talking about 480 airports across the country."

Security measures at every airport are different and the local police departments are not under the authority of TSA supervisors, Cox said...But the union isn't calling for all TSA employees to be armed - just a new unit within the agency that is specially trained to handle volatile situations in tight spaces like security lines.

Australian Government Moves To Strip Freedoms e.g. Restrict Travel...Because Of 'ISIS (CR)ISIS'

Security before freedoms: Australia to introduce tougher anti-terror laws

[excerpted] Australia aims to strengthen security by introducing new legislation to combat homegrown terrorism, said PM Tony Abbott. The new laws will criminalize travel to some conflict areas and grant authorities broader access to citizens' communications.

"Regrettably, for some time to come, the delicate balance between freedom and security may have to shift," Prime Minister Tony Abbott said in a statement on Monday, as he previewed a bill to be introduced in Parliament later this week.

Abbot said that under the new legislation it would be a crime for an Australian citizen to travel to any conflict area overseas once the government has declared it off limits.

On Thursday, more than 800 police were involved in a security operation in Sydney and Brisbane to disrupt alleged plans, linked to Islamic State militants, to publicly behead a randomly selected Australian. Sixteen people were detained during the raids.

Another law, that would require Australian telecommunication companies to save metadata and provide it to government agencies, would also be introduced soon, Abbott added.

Authorities were on high alert last week after security forces intercepted communications alleging that Islamic State supporters may be planning an attack on the Australian Parliament.

On September 12, Australia raised its terror alert to the second highest level in response to recent violent events in the Middle East connected with the beheadings of American journalists James Foley and Steven Sotloff, and British aid worker David Haines.

For the most part, news about exit 'security' and electronic 'exit pods' at airport terminals came out only a few weeks ago. Although the 'electronic pods' have been in use at Syracuse since 2009, no one had really heard much about this until recently. Turns out now that a TSA mandate for nationwide 'exit control' has already been 'decreed', set to begin January 1. While it is reported that airports are suing to block the new rule, this is not to oppose the police state measure but to address the issue of the airports being required to foot the bill to actually provide the 'police state' controls and personnel, rather than the federal government. This may delay implementation in some areas, if anything, but will not stop it. Big Brother always controls both sides. Problem reaction solution is the NWO cabal's modus operandi - in this case electronic 'exit portals' for all seems to be the planned 'solution' to the 'problem'. A new Transportation Security Administration directive that mandates airports provide security for terminal exits is likely to lead to the installation of more ‘detention pods’ which have the capability of subjecting travelers to biometric scans.

“Airports across the country have sued to block a new Transportation Security Administration directive that requires them, starting Jan. 1, to begin guarding exit security doors, as passengers leave flights and head for baggage claims,” reports the Associated Press.

The article notes that in order to comply with the regulation and save hundreds of thousands of dollars a year in staffing, airports may follow the example set by Atlantic City International, which has “installed five cylinder-shaped glass exit portals since 2009.” [see video below]

When this American Airlines - U.S. Airways merger was first proposed earlier this year, it was stated that it would be "the last mega merger in a decade of consolidation" [see 'follow up' above]. As seen here, as of today, with the 'merge' now officially accomplished, that little 'detail' has already been scrubbed. Suddenly it has become "well...you never know what comes next".

[excerpted] TSA ‘detention pods’ currently being rolled out at major airports across the U.S. have biometric and object-detecting capabilities, according to promotional material from Eagle Security Group, the company that manufactures the devices...The pods, which critics have likened to cattle grids, are currently in place at Syracuse International Airport as well as Atlantic City International Airport terminal exits...Travelers enter the pod where they are briefly detained before a green light shows and they are allowed to leave the terminal.



People who suspected the devices may be performing some kind of x-ray scan may not be far off the mark. Although such procedures are not currently in place, the pods do have the capability to incorporate “human/threat object detection/containment,” according to the official brochure...The pods can also function as biometric scanners. A video demonstration shows a user biometrically scanning his fingerprint before he is allowed to leave the containment area.

“The identity of the user is guaranteed via fingerprint, iris or facial recognition scans before they are allowed to complete their passage from non-secure to secure areas. The Eagle ACP (Access Control Portal) with integrated biometrics of your choice is a complete solution,” states the company’s website.

Shooting Renews Debate on Armed Officers

[excerpted] LOS ANGELES—Roughly a year before the fatal shooting rampage at Los Angeles International Airport, federal security officials turned away a request by the head of the local airport-police union to ensure armed security was posted around screening checkpoints.

Over the weekend, the head of the union representing some 45,000 airport screeners of the U.S. Transportation Security Administration called on the agency to give weapons to certain employees and assign these personnel to checkpoints, though some experts said that raised concerns about proper weapons training.

TSA Administrator John Pistole said the shooting has prompted the agency to review its policies and protocols, including how it works with airport police forces. When asked if he would move to arm TSA officers, he said the agency plans to discuss improving airport security with Congress "writ large" but not specifically about arming screeners.

Rep. Michael McCaul, (R., Tex.,), chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, said Sunday on CNN that he talked with Mr. Pistole on Saturday about a review of airport policies, including how the TSA coordinates with local law enforcement that typically secures an airport.

"I think it's important that we have local law enforcement really at different points at the airport to protect not only the perimeter, but also things that could happen through [the] security checkpoint," he said.
