[5-28-19] This new campaign, which is being handled by Japan’s Environment Ministry, is intended to promote usage of parasols among men in Japan. The ministry will be producing and distributing informational materials to Japanese department stores nationwide.

The Environment Ministry is hoping to change the perception that parasols are only for women by in part touting the many benefits of parasol usage in these materials.

The campaign is also encouraging children to give parasols to their fathers this Father’s Day, which falls on June 16 this year.

Although this is the first campaign of this kind, the ministry had previously teamed up with local municipalities in order to allow men to try out using parasols for free at special events.

With the relentless heat of Japan’s summers showing no signs of going away, it certainly looks like this is as good a time as any for parasols to become a new must-have item for Japan’s legions of salarymen.

Miss America is scrapping its swimsuit competition, will no longer judge based on physical appearance

Miss America is scrapping its swimsuit competition and will no longer judge contestants based on physical appearance, the organization announced Tuesday.

In place of the swimsuit portion of the competition, Miss America contestants will now take part in a live interactive session with the judges, according to the organization.

The organization is also getting rid of the evening gown portion of the competition and instead asking contestants to wear attire that makes them feel confident and expresses their personal style.

"We are now open, inclusive and transparent and I want to inspire thousands of young people across this country to come and be a part of our program," she said.

The 2019 Miss America Competition airs live on ABC on Sunday, Sept. 9, at 9 p.m. EST.

The Boy Scouts of America are changing the name of their signature program for the first time in the organization's 108-year history

Prompted by the addition of girls to the ranks, the iconic Boy Scouts program for kids ages 11 to 17 will be called Scouts BSA starting in February 2019, according to a news release on Wednesday.

"We wanted to land on something that evokes the past but also conveys the inclusive nature of the program going forward," Chief Scout Executive Mike Surbaugh told The Associated Press. "We’re trying to find the right way to say we’re here for both young men and young women."

University of Texas to Treat Masculinity as a 'Mental Health' Issue

The Counseling and Mental Health Center at the University of Texas at Austin recently launched a new program to help male students “take control over their gender identity and develop a healthy sense of masculinity.”

Treating masculinity as if it were a mental health crisis, “MasculinUT” is organized by the school’s counseling staff and most recently organized a poster series encouraging students to develop a “healthy model of masculinity.”

The program is predicated on a critique of so-called “restrictive masculinity.” Men, the program argues, suffer when they are told to “act like a man” or when they are encouraged to fulfill traditional gender roles...

The school is in the process of hiring a “healthy masculinities coordinator” to run the program...

While many schools now have similar programs, this appears to be the first run directly out of a Counseling and Mental Health Center. Though the school seems to justify this by claiming that masculinity can cause men to lash out at other people and themselves, the school did not respond to a request for comment to clarify.

French President Emmanuel Macron announced on Tuesday that school will soon be mandatory for children aged three years and up, instead of the current age of six.

Council to Give Out ‘Pronoun Badges’ in Drive to ‘Educate Public on Trans Identities’

[London] Brighton & Hove City Council will equip staff with badges declaring their “preferred pronouns” as part of a project seeking to educate the public that making assumptions about a person’s sex “can be hurtful and distressing”.

Council and voluntary sector staff in the city will be “encouraged” to wear the badges, which include messages such as “My pronouns are she/her/hers” and “My pronouns are they/their/theirs” when they are distributed in the week leading up to ‘Trans Day of Visibility’ on March 31.

The badges will also be made available at libraries, colleges, and council buildings as part of a month-long drive to “raise awareness of Trans and Non-Binary people and that everyone has their own gender identity”, according to a press release.

What that means is that all this drama about the so-called 'sexual-assault' against these participants in the USA (same thing going on worldwide every sport) gymnastics program - who are in fact very real victims - is actually a kabalist-scheme type exercise to sort of 'fake-punish' the doctors for what they really did... i.e. the very real sexual-assault that was done to the likes of Raisman, Maroney, Douglas, Biles, and many other boys ("more than 130 other[s]" - *see article top post) in the program - which was to cut off their gentalia and turn these boys into super-athlete 'girls' when they were very young - probably before they could understand or know what was done to them.
