Allstate has stopped writing new homeowner, condominium and commercial insurance policies in California, the company confirmed to The Chronicle. The insurer, the fourth largest property and casualty insurance provider in the state in 2021, paused new policies “so we can continue to protect current customers,” spokesperson Brittany Nash wrote in a Thursday email to The Chronicle.

"The cost to insure new home customers in California is far higher than the price they would pay for policies due to wildfires, higher costs for repairing homes, and higher reinsurance premiums," Nash wrote in a follow-up email on Friday. The cost of rebuilding has increased with inflation, but Allstate can't adjust prices quickly due to state regulation, Nash wrote.

Among those pulling back from home insurance in California in recent years are some household names such as Liberty Mutual, Reuters reported. In California, nonrenewals of homeowners' insurance policies initiated by insurers in 2021 rose nearly 30% to 241,662 from a year earlier, data from the state's Department of Insurance showed.

UK city defends new ‘climate lockdown’ policy

The city of Oxfordshire has embraced the concept of limiting citizens’ personal travel to fight climate change, an idea once dismissed as a conspiracy theory.

The Oxfordshire County Council’s so-called ‘traffic filter’ system, adopted last week, has gone viral, denounced as the first step toward “climate lockdowns” by climate skeptics and civil liberties activists.

The city will be divided into six “15-minute neighborhoods,” containing all local necessities as defined by the city, with residents required to register their cars so their comings and goings can be tracked via license plate cameras. They are allowed unlimited movement in their own neighborhood, but in order to drive through the filters, they must apply for a permit. Even then, they are only granted access to other neighborhoods for an average of two days per week. Those who exceed their travel allotment will be fined.

The city will benefit financially, with any driver caught passing through a filter without an exemption or a permit being charged a £70 penalty (just over $85) per violation. The planners expect the city could make as much as £1.1 million per year by fining drivers.

Swiss Face Up to 3 Years in Prison For Violating Heating Rules

People in Switzerland who violate the country’s new heating rules which forbid setting the temperature above 19°C (66.2F *) in the colder months will face up to three years in prison.

Yes, really.  -- Under the new rules, buildings that use gas heating systems are restricted to 19°C, while hot water can only be heated up to 60°C and radiant heaters are banned entirely. It will also be forbidden to heat swimming polls and saunas. -- Depending on the severity of the violation and the individual’s economic situation, fines will range from 30 to 3,000 Swiss francs ($30 to $3,050), while people could also be imprisoned for up to three years.

Despite the brazenly authoritarian restrictions, Economy Minister Guy Parmelin asserted, “We are not a police state,” although he acknowledged police would perform “spot checks” to try to catch violators.

Many would suggest this is just a taste of a dystopian ‘net zero’ future where people who defy climate change ‘energy lockdowns’ face arrest and prison time.

[6-17-22] Outdoor public events have been banned in an area of France as a record breaking heatwave sweeps across Europe. Concerts and large public gatherings have been called off in the Gironde department around Bordeaux.

On Thursday [6-16-22], parts of France hit 40C earlier in the year than ever before, with temperatures expected to peak on Saturday. Scientists say periods of intense heat are becoming more frequent and longer lasting as a result of global warming. Spain, Italy and the UK are also experiencing high temperatures.

In Gironde, officials said public events, including some of the official 18 June Resistance celebrations, will be prohibited from Friday at 14:00 (12:00 GMT) "until the end of the heat wave". Indoor events at venues without air-conditioning are also banned.

"Everyone now faces a health risk", local official Fabienne Buccio told France Bleu radio.

The French interior ministry warned people to be extremely careful and not expose themselves to the weather.

The things announced here are definitely noteworthy. A major supermarket chain in the UK is doing away entirely with it's meat and fish deli counters - calling it a "new vision", while Tyson Foods in the USA promising that skyrocketing meat prices will only continue to rise..because of this reason that reason etc. etc.. Really is no question that these types of developments represents the Agenda 21 - UN2030 'anti-meat' agenda being taken to another level. Very obvious the methodology being used, as plainly revealed in the two articles above: First article, making meat hard to get. Second article, making what little meat is still available very expensive. This exact process clearly underway worldwide.

It is the grand phase out. Suddenly there are no deli counters. Hey, what! No answers they're just gone. Then, the refrigerator-shelves continue to be near empty more often than not, and if/when there is something, it is at prices never imagined. And very important to grasp the fact that this situation is not going to turn around. The only thing that is going to happen is that over time the availability will become less and less, until there is virtually no meat no fish no pork anywhere, and through this carefully planned phasing-out program the 'serfdom' becomes trained to do without. Sea level rise due to climate change eyed as contributing factor in Miami-area building collapse

As the search for survivors of the collapse of a 12-story beachfront condominium in Surfside, Fla., continued on Friday, building experts began looking at the possibility that sea level rise caused by climate change may have contributed to the disaster...

From a geological standpoint, the base of South Florida’s barrier islands is porous limestone. As the oceans encroach on land due to sea level rise and the worsening of so-called king tides, groundwater is pushed up through the limestone, causing flooding.

“Sea level rise does cause potential corrosion and if that was happening, it’s possible it could not handle the weight of the building,” Zhong-Ren Peng, professor and director of the University of Florida’s International Center for Adaptation Planning and Design, told the Palm Beach Post. “I think this could be a wakeup call for coastal developments.”

While it is too early to say whether climate change is to blame for the collapse of the 40-year-old Champlain Towers South, or if it also threatens thousands of similar structures along Florida’s coastline, sea levels rose by 3.9 inches between 2000 and 2017 in nearby Key West, according to a 2019 report by the Southeast Florida Regional Climate Change Compact. Future projections are much more dire.

But even if climate change is ruled out as a significant contributor to this particular instance of structural failure, there is no avoiding the fact that if seas continue to rise, the habitability of much of South Florida will be put in question.

Answer: How that a beachfront condo in Miami, Florida mysteriously collapses with no warning... and the conversation immediately turns to [fake] "climate change and sea level rise" as the cause, or at the least, as potential contributing factors -- which means that the incident plays perfectly into the known Agenda 21 goal of clearing coastal regions of human populations -- and so it is too obvious when what supposedly is too strange to explain, is in fact probably not too strange at all to explain. The way things appear suggests strongly the event had to have been geoengineered. *And that conclusion does not even take into consideration the fact that the collapse was a perfect implosion i.e. instantaneous collapse of the entire 12-story structure into it's own footprint - which is only possible in the real world by controlled demolition [see video below]...
