"The cost to insure new home customers in California is far higher than the price they would pay for policies due to wildfires, higher costs for repairing homes, and higher reinsurance premiums," Nash wrote in a follow-up email on Friday. The cost of rebuilding has increased with inflation, but Allstate can't adjust prices quickly due to state regulation, Nash wrote.

The hand counting portion of the Arizona Audit is finally concluding with the last boxes of ballots on the floor. We should have a hand count result in about a week and with the discrepancies found so far, it does not look like we will find all 2.1 million ballots certified in Maricopa County. At least, that is what we are hearing. If we do not find the ballots, we do not have evidence that Joe Biden was the legitimate winner of Arizona. On Saturday, former Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens told The Gateway Pundit that, if there are not enough ballots in Arizona, legislators must stand up and decertify the results:

Walmart is preparing its 5,000 pharmacies to administer the COVID-19 vaccine in the U.S.

“With 90% of the American population living within 10 miles of a Walmart, we will play an important part in making sure those who want a vaccine can get one when they are eligible based on their state’s prioritization, especially those in hard to reach parts of the country that have recently been hit hard by the epidemic,” Walmart’s chief medical officer Dr. Tom Van Gilder wrote in a blog post.

Walmart operates a fleet of more than 4,700 stores and around 600 Sam’s Club locations in the U.S, with more than 5,000 pharmacies.

The company has also put together materials to inform people about when to receive the first and second doses for the most effective vaccination. Walmart, also the nation’s largest private employer, is also educating its associates about the vaccine “so when they are determined to be eligible, they will understand and be ready to receive the vaccine if they choose.”

Last month, the U.S. Health and Human Services Department announced partnerships with more than a dozen chain pharmacies, including Walmart, Kroger (KR), Rite Aid (RAD), Albertsons Companies (ACI), and others, to provide access to the vaccine once ready.

7 Midwestern governors announce their states will coordinate on reopening

A bipartisan group of governors of Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, Indiana and Kentucky announced Thursday that they will work in close coordination to reopen the Midwest regional economy in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

The governors noted that their decision to work together "doesn't mean our economy will reopen all at once, or that every state will take the same steps at the same time. But close coordination will ensure we get this right."

On Monday, Democratic New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo said his state, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Rhode Island and Massachusetts each plan to name a public health official, an economic official and each governor's chief of staff to a regional working group that will begin work immediately to design a reopening plan.

Later that day, the West Coast states of California, Washington and Oregon also announced they were joining forces in a plan to begin incremental release of stay-at-home orders. The three states' governors will collaborate on their approach to getting back to business "in a safe, strategic, responsible way," as announced by California Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom.
