Calvary Chapel's Chuck Smith Bows To Mormon God; Tells 10-yr Old Girl "Good Mormons...Will Be In Heaven"

This is quoted from the 11-9-11 "Pastor's Perspective" call-in radio program at 36:10 min. The audio recording is: here
***
36:10 Don Stewart: To Cheyenne Wyoming...we have Alexa on the line....

10 yr. old Alexa: My aunt Valerie(?) doesn't really know the book of Mormon...so will she still go to hell?

Don Stewart: Ok good question...Alexa's got an aunt, Chuck, who is a mormon and wants to know if the mormon will go to heaven...

Chuck Smith: It all depends on their relationship with Jesus Christ...and there are a lot of good Mormons who do believe in Jesus and I believe they will be in heaven, but you know we can't do it on own righteousness or own works you know we have to depend on Jesus for our entrance into heaven...[end]

***
Pseudo-christian Joel Osteen did the same thing a couple of weeks ago:

Joel Osteen Denies Christ - Says Mormonism Is Christian; Book Of Jude Comes Alive 10-25-11 "In the book of Jude the Word of God speaks of a time when apostate teachers would virtually 'overwhelm the system', so to speak, completely taking over the outward visible professing Christian church and utterly corrupting it. These are described as.."ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ." [Jude 4]...Joel Osteen is fulfilling Jude's prophecy. In equating Christianity and the Mormon religion, which is actually an outright denial of true biblical Christianity, especially with regard to the attributes of God and the deity of Christ, Osteen is now openly "denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ". There is no way around it." [see post]

There is no way around it for Chuck Smith either. The "Jesus" of the Mormon religion is a blasphemous denial of the truth of the person and of the deity of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and of the efficacy of his blood shed on the cross at Calvary, as every 'preacher' of the gospel should be well aware.
[For information see: Mormonism in a Nutshell]

It is understandably difficult when someone that has been looked up to and held in high regard for many years proves to be something other than was thought. Even more so when that person is a figurehead like Calvary Chapel's Chuck Smith. But the reality here is that it is simply not possible for a man who rightly understands and believes the Word of God, and is filled with the Spirit of God, and himself truly knows the risen Son of God the second person of the Triune Godhead to make the statement that Chuck Smith did. Impossible.

1John 2:21 "...no lie is of the truth". With his statement to the ten year old girl and untold thousands of radio listeners, Chuck Smith, like Joel Osteen, absolutely denied "the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ". And, like Osteen, is fulfilling the prophecy of the book of Jude. Again, there is no way around it and no possible positive construct that can be put upon it either. It is not the work of God, but is the work of the "father of lies". Sobering reality.

Note also that co-host Don Stewart made no objection of any sort.

Calvary Chapelers, it is time to face the hard truth. The Calvary Chapel movement, led by Chuck Smith, has proven, once again, to be part of the biblically foretold apostasy that would signify the end of the church age. Separating yourself from it is the only possible answer. To ignore the facts is to also deny the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Calvary Chapel's Chuck Smith, Greg Laurie Perpetuate NWO 9/11 Fable With Dodger Stadium Crusade

Greg Laurie's Harvest Crusade LA: 50,000 Led in 9/11 Prayer

LOS ANGELES – Holding his first Harvest Crusades outreach event in the media hub nicknamed "City of Angels," Greg Laurie brought his message of hope in Jesus Christ to an estimated 50,000 people at Dodger Stadium Saturday evening.

Founding Calvary Chapel pastor Chuck Smith, who mentored Laurie even before he became a church and evangelist leader, led the crowd in prayer for the families who lost loved ones during the terrorist attacks on 9/11...He prayed, "Father, as we are here on the eve of 9/11 and so vividly remember that day of infamy, with men for their religion who were willing to give their lives in order that they might take the lives of 3,000 people … Father, we pray for the families of those 3,000 people.”

Laurie said his desire was to address everyone in Los Angeles, “from the up-and-comers of Rodeo Drive to the down-and-outers of Skid Row,” on the topic of dealing with tragedy such as of the loss of life during the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

--------------------------------------
1John 2:21 "...no lie is of the truth"

Something is very wrong when those who should be able to discern truth from fiction cannot. Something is very wrong when claimed ministers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ give credence to the horrific lies of the "spirit of antichrist" [Rev. 17:2], i.e. the physically impossible official account of 9/11, as happened here.

And ignorance is no excuse, for..."when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth" [John 16:13]

The only possible conclusion then is that the third person of the triune Godhead, the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth, had nothing to do with what went on at Dodger Stadium on the night of 9-10-11. No lie is of the truth....

Sad to say, Calvary Chapel-ers, but the truth of the matter is that what was done here reveals an apostate condition of the worst sort. The fact is that it can only be explained in the context of the picture given in the book of Revelation of the woman that will sit upon the beast [Rev. 17:3,4]. That is, apostate religion, the woman, in league with the corrupt political system, the beast, making up together what will then become the global government of the coming "man of sin", the "son of perdition", the Antichrist. [2 Thes. 2:3,4]

The woman in league with the beast. Whether Smith and Laurie know it or not, that is exactly what happened. It is not okay. Time to go for the door if you have not already.

Calvary Chapel Alert: Chuck Smith Counsels Abortion, Changes Story

Pastor Chuck Smith Stuns Radio Listeners by Encouraging Woman to Abort
Operation Rescue urges Calvary Chapel's Pastor Smith to retract his advice and apologize to his listeners
[excerpted; recommend read full article at title link; radio clip below]
Pastor Chuck Smith, founder of Calvary Chapel, shocked listeners on Tuesday on his "Pastor's Perspective" call-in radio program when he encouraged a tearful mother to abort conjoined twins.
The caller, who identified herself as "Nicki from Riverside", indicated that her babies share a body but have two heads and that she was being pressured by her doctors to abort them due to their assessment that the babies would likely not survive the pregnancy or live beyond a day if carried to term. At no time did Nicki indicate how far advanced her pregnancy was or that her life was in danger from the pregnancy.
"It's awfully hard to actually suggest abortion," said Smith. "But, you know, I'm sure that, uh, in a case like this where the life expectancy is just, you know, is so bleak, and all, that I'm sure that the Lord would not condemn her if she went ahead and had an abortion at this early stage of the development of the fetus."
Smith then went on to misuse the Biblical story found in John, Chapter 8, of the woman caught in the act of adultery and taken to Jesus for judgment. Jesus told the crowd who sought to condemn her, "He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her." After the crowd disbanded in shame, Jesus told the woman, "Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more."
Smith and Stewart attempted to "clarify" their advice to Nicki the following day on the Pastor's Perspective broadcast, but in doing so only made a bad situation worse.
"I do not believe in abortion as it is being practiced today. However, there can be extenuating circumstances," Smith continued.
Smith and his co-host then go on to completely mischaracterize the conversation with Nicki the previous day.
We hate to use the word "lie" but there is no other term for what the two pastors said next.
"As the lady said yesterday, the doctors were saying that her life was in jeopardy and carrying the babies, er, uh, baby that is in her womb with two heads, that the baby would not be able to survive more than five minutes after the birth, and that her life was jeopardized by it and she has a little two-year old daughter and I would say in a situation like that with these extenuating circumstances, that God would be gracious and forgiving. But that isn't endorsing abortion at all...I'm totally opposed to abortion for just any reason, but I believe in being reasonable."
As far as his version of Nicki's story, the audio recording proves that she never said her life was in jeopardy or that the babies could not survive more than five minutes after birth. She repeatedly referred to her babies in the plural sense.
Perhaps Smith and Stewart have forgotten that God is the Giver of Life, that He alone numbers our days. The two men completely discount any thought that these babies might be given to Nicki and her husband to bring glory to Himself.
Take the example of Abigail and Brittney Hensel, conjoined twins that have been the subject of a special on TLC. Abigail and Brittney share one body. A YouTube video clip shows them celebrating their 16th birthday, each getting a driver's license, and discussing the possibility of one day being mothers [below].
The girls [much younger] are shown on another video clip answering questions about their condition. “How did you get this way?” one of the girls read off a list. “God made us this way,” answered the other: here]

"Frozen Unbelief" by A.W. Tozer (especially for Calvary Chapelers)

Hebrews 11:7 'By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house'

Study the life of faithful Noah and you will know what he would say if he could come and counsel you today: "Whenever you hear God's truth," he would say, "you will go either in the direction you are moved, or you just wait". "If you wait, you will find that the next time you hear the truth, it will not move you quite as much. The next time, it will move you less-and the time will come when that truth will not move you at all!" [Calvary Chapelers: see here]
We need that message in our generation, for there is a distressing kind of "frozen" unbelief all around us. Men and women are paying little heed to any of God's warning signals. As a farm boy, I learned the lesson of little chicks-an easy prey for hawks overhead. The mother hen heard the high-pitched cry of the soaring hawk and gave her own special "cluck-cluck" of warning. Her chicks scampered to her side and soon she had them all tucked safely under her feathers. Thank God, there is a true faith that is not ashamed to move in the direction of the Ark of Safety!

Luke 17:27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.

Calvary Chapel Apostasy Going From Bad To Worse: Chuck Smith Joins Rick Warren And Laurie At Crusade

Urgent call to Calvary Chapel-ers to 'come out'

follow up on: Greg Laurie, Calvary Chapel Going Deeper Into Apostasy 8-11-09 (see post)

Harvest Crusades Reaches 4 Million on Historic Night

"You know, people have asked me what has been the highlight of the Harvest Crusades for me over the last 20 years," Laurie said as he addressed an enthusiastic crowd. "I've recounted some experiences ... but I have to amend that. I would say tonight is the highlight for me ... because tonight we just broke our record.
"We have reached in person ... 4 million people."
"This is just a preview of things to come," the well-known evangelist, dressed in his signature black button-up shirt, said.
Joining Laurie on stage on the special night were his family and Pastors Chuck Smith of Calvary Chapel and Rick Warren of Saddleback Church.
"I don't know why you think you came here tonight, but you're not here by accident," Warren, bestselling author of The Purpose Driven Life, said in a familiar statement. "A thousand years before you were born, God knew you would be here tonight."
------------------------------------------------
Chuck Smith, Greg Laurie, And Rick Warren Draw A Line

While reserving comment in regard to the value of or the claimed success of Greg Laurie's 20 years of Harvest Crusades, what cannot be overlooked is Calvary Chapel's now open endorsement of, and affiliation with, Rick Warren's heretical Purpose Driven movement. The appearance of Chuck Smith on stage alongside Laurie and Warren at this past weekend's (8/14-16/09) crusade cannot be construed in any other way.
Note especially Laurie's comment that - "This is just a preview of things to come". No doubt this is true, as any who understand the real agenda behind Warren's purpose-driven movement know that it is designed to network and control Christian churches worldwide (here).
Purpose-driven is not a true Christian movement by any stretch of the imagination. It is simply a globalist tool to synthesize Christianity with the world's religions (here) so as to squeeze it into the global management system of the coming one world government of Antichrist.
Research here:
This is a sobering and crucial moment Calvary-ites. You no longer have an option. You must no longer allow yourselves to be led or influenced by ANY so-called church leaders that are unable to discern these things.
No excuses will suffice, the Purpose-Driven global interfaith line has been drawn. You must separate from the apostate Calvary Chapel organization or be absorbed with it. Rev. 18:4

Greg Laurie, Calvary Chapel Going Deeper Into Apostasy

"The 2009 National Worship Leader Conference took place on July 20-23 in Leawood, Kansas and brought together a convergence of contemplative/emerging speakers. Some will probably wonder though why popular trusted figures like Calvary Chapel's Greg Laurie, 70s Jesus movement singer Evie, and Love Song lead singer, Chuck Girard, were part of the speaking/singing platform too. That's a good question considering the number of speakers at the event who were hearty advocates for the contemplative new spirituality: some of those included Leonard Sweet, Chuck Fromm (founder of the event and of Worship Leader magazine), emerging leader Sally Morgenthaler, Brennan Manning proponent Michael W. Smith, the pro-contemplative David Crowder Band, contemplative/emerging Marva Dawn, Alpha Course leader and contemplative proponent Todd Hunter, and others." re: 'trusted figures'?
It is particularly troubling to see, to quote the above article,"trusted figures like Calvary Chapel's Greg Laurie", hobnobbing with known apostates, and rather than denouncing, sharing a platform with these purveyors of the Laodicean 'interspiritual' apostasy that is completely taking over the established church. That that is what these above named individuals do promote is easily discerned by any that will take the time to do the homework for themselves. There are many resources available, as easy as a click of the mouse. The article posted above is a good place to start.
Doing the homework. Calvary Chapelers, this holds absolutely true for you too, for who is left in the Calvary Chapel organization that will stand and publicly challenge Laurie? Anyone? Your Calvary pastor? Doubtful. I'd love to be proven wrong on that one though. Where is it then? (This from a ex-calvary chapel-er with much history, not at all disgruntled, by the way, just no longer able to excuse the tremendous influx of open apostasy)

(Research . It is a globalist tool, synthesizing Christianity with the world's religions.)
Calvary Chapel church goer...what will you do? Remember, a little leaven leavens the whole lump. Will you still go with the 'Calvary' flow too? The flow has become a torrent, and the ship is headed over the falls...
"Some Christians have told me that they are to remain in Laodicea until the Lord gives them a call to leave. He has given the call. It is here and what is happening and will happen is the separation of God's true church from the church of the world, the church of the apostasy and of Laodicea. But you say, "Where am I going?" Well, go first to the Lord and then you will have fellowship with the true saints of God. When you get into the fellowship of the true saints of God you get power, you get blessing, you have the reality of the Lord and He is going to use you." Arno C. Gaebelein (1919)

Calvary Chapel, Chuck Smith Hosting Emergent Church Apostate

fyi: The apostasy of the Christian Church is spreading far and wide throughout all of Christendom. It is no longer possible to just blindly follow any church movement, so-called bible teacher, or pastor. No place can be considered safe any longer without careful scrutiny because the apostate teachers have infiltrated at every level and the leaven has leavened the whole (Matt. 13:33). And yes, Virginia, that definitely includes Calvary Chapels (this from an ex-Calvary Chapeler). Each individual must educate himself and is responsible to be knowledgeable of these things for their own sake as well as others. To undiscerningly participate with error and those who propagate it will bring disastrous consequences in the spiritual life of a Christian. Be warned...Rev. 18:4

Emergent New Paradigm Pastor to Speak at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa lighthousetrailsministries

"Emerging/emergent spirituality is making serious inroads into Christianity. Churches and Christian colleges, unaware of the subtle undermining of such spirituality, are embracing teachers and leaders of this movement and pointing others to them. Often they are unaware of what these teachers really believe and teach. In light of an event (Movement 2009) scheduled to take place on May 29th at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa, the Calvary Chapel mother church, with RockHarbor pastor, Mike Erre (and a similar event (Pure Worship) that took place earlier this month), Lighthouse Trails is posting this special report."

In the pages of Death by Church: Rescuing Jesus from His Followers, Recapturing God's Hope for His People (Harvest House, 2009), author Mike Erre (pastor of Rock Harbor Church in Costa Mesa, California) acknowledges that Jesus is Lord. He also references a number of Scriptures and talks about several different Bible stories. But for the discerning Christian who knows his Bible, it doesn't take too long into Erre's book to realize something is amiss, and such a reader soon begins to have a sense that he is theologically being tossed to and fro between the pages of this book and soon feeling like he is in a battle zone for the truth. Sandwiched between the Scripture references and the mention of "Jesus" is a theology that does not at all represent the Gospel."

"In an emergent church setting, Erre's book would fit in well. But unfortunately, he is scheduled to speak at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa on May 29th at the Movement 2009 event as the featured speaker. From all that Calvary Chapel has stood for and represented over the last three plus decades, Erre's spirituality does not line up with Calvary Chapel. Even if Erre doesn't talk about these topics at the Movement 2009, to welcome him at a Calvary Chapel church (the mother church of Calvary Chapel, no less) is sending out a message far and wide that emerging spirituality is now acceptable and legitimate."

Rick Warren, Gulf Coast, and Peter Drucker

One world government and one world religion....you're looking at it. Two articles, two very significant developments:
**********
Warren, Blanchard, Hybels, Laurie, Buford - Launching New York Leadership Center This Week Source: Editors at Lighthouse Trails

This week marks the Launch of the New York City Leadership Center. This is a inter-religious venture that is being supported by some of the country's most prolific Christian figures including Rick Warren, Bill Hybels, Greg Laurie, Ken Blanchard, Bob Buford and Frances Hesselbein (representing the late Peter Drucker). The new Leadership Center hopes to "see the redemption of [their] communities through leaders leading together."1 The Leadership Center website states:

The New York City Leadership Center (NYCLC) has been planted by Concerts of Prayer Greater New York to encourage, unify, and support faith leaders throughout the New York metropolitan area and beyond. We believe the redemption of our communities will be realized through effective leadership, coupled with the powerful embrace of united prayer.

Today, these and other Christian "leaders" are focusing on "leadership." But it is important to understand that what is taking place isn't truly about leadership - it is about training people to follow: follow without question or dissention.

Top U.S. Religious Leaders Press for Moral Hurricane Response

More than 100 Christian, Jewish, and Muslim leaders signed onto a statement Monday to call on the U.S. government to work across party lines to create a human rights-based recovery policy for Gulf Coast families affected by hurricanes.

The statement urges solutions that are resident-led including ones that help families return and participate in rebuilding their communities, create living wage jobs, restore the coastal wetland and ensure that human rights along the Gulf Coast is a national moral priority.

“The government must empower local communities to take the lead in rebuilding their neighborhoods, renewing their lives, and restoring God’s creation,” they say. “We believe it is a moral obligation for the federal government to fulfill its promises for Gulf Coast recovery: empowering residents to return and participate in equitably rebuilding their communities.”

Faith leaders that signed the statement included the Rev. Dr. Michael Kinnamon, general secretary of the National Council of Churches; the Rev. Richard Cizik, vice president of National Association of Evangelicals; Richard Stearns, president of World Vision; Rabbi Steve Gutow, executive director of the Jewish Council for Public Affairs; Dr. Ingrid Matterson, president of the Islamic Society of North America; Fr. Larry Snyder, president of Catholic Charities USA; the Rev. David Beckmann, president of Bread for the World; and the Rev. Jim Wallis, president of Sojourners.

re: empowering local communities to take the lead

An inter-religious New York Leadership Center is mentioned in the first article, and the second article tells of a new disaster-recovery plan signed by more than 100 "faith leaders" being rolled out in the wake of last week's devastating hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico. These are two extremely significant developments toward the advancement of the regionally managed-community based global government system known as Agenda 21. This transition is coming in under the radar though because so few understand how this system works.

Very briefly (and over simplified really), the global/regional government system is being built by creating 'partnerships' between countries, state and local governments, law enforcement agencies, industry, community groups, faith groups, etc.. As these various partnerships are being formed, a global system of 'regional' managements is being put in place, each with the responsibility to oversee individual communities within their region. Each individual community within a particular region is to basically be a microcosm of the whole, designed to be a self governed, self-contained entity, i.e. a sustainable community. This would be the lowest level of the global governance model. Community based management. Each individual community will have it's own 'leaders' in this system, responsible to keep things running smoothly. Something like the department heads of a large corporation. In essence, the entire earth is to be managed like a single large corporation. The credit for the design of this global-management-plan goes primarily to the now deceased world renowned business management guru Peter Drucker. You'll notice that Drucker's name is mentioned in the first article.
Both articles posted above show the significant progress being made toward the development of Peter Drucker's community-based global management system. Partnering, putting leaders in place, "empowering communities to take the lead"...i.e. governing themselves essentially, and also the merging of religions for the 'common good'.
The various religious groups must be merged into cohesive groups to work together for the common good of all within these communities, according to Drucker's theory. They will be expected to provide a network of social workers to meet the needs of the people within the worldwide system. Rick Warren's Purpose-Driven program was created to fulfill this function. They now have a "Leadership Center" in new York. The Gulf Coast plan in response to the sudden tragedy, amazingly looks very much like the beginning of an actual large scale implementation of the community-based management system. Take note.
Merging religions? Putting aside differences and joining hands to build a better world, they will say. Here's the forming of the one world religion. The word of God shows a one world religion giving worship to the Antichrist in the days when the one world government comes together.
One world government and one world religion...this is that. Take note.

Pseudo-Christian Novel 'The Shack': Apostates Loving It

fyi: Informational article on popular pseudo-christian new age novel "The Shack" (it's 'all the rage apparently'). Basically it's nothing more than a cleverly repackaged version of the (new) age old lie that "god is in everything", but it would be worthwhile to go to the linked article and read it through. If you've not been exposed to 'The Shack' more than likely someone you know has been, which is why it is so important to be aware of what it is. 3.8 million copies sold to date they say. But do not be led astray by either the book or those who are pushing it. Know the who and the what...it's crucial to be informed...for we are absolutely living in the days of the final apostasy of the Christian faith as predicted in the Holy Bible. The names mentioned in this article are just a few of the many that are actually promoting this heretical book throughout 'Christendom'. Be aware, your 'pastor' or bible study 'leader' may even try to bring it into the church or group. The odds are pretty good actually at this point, unfortunately. Make a stand.

Update on the Shack: New Age Similarities, Popularity Continues, and Calvary Chapel Gives Official Statement : Lighthouse Trails Research

(excerpts)

"The Shack by William P. Young has been on the New York Times Best Seller List for 15 weeks, currently in the number one position for Fiction books. The book has been promoted by popular Christian figures such as Eugene Peterson and Gayle Erwin (The Jesus Style). What's more, numerous Christian ministries such as Probe Ministries (an apologetics group based out of Texas) are endorsing the book. Probe's associate speaker, Sue Bohlin says "The Shack became one of my all-time favorite books before I had even finished it." 1"

"In a Lighthouse Trails report on The Shack, it was brought out that co-author of The Shack, Wayne Jacobsen 3 resonates with the leaders in the emerging church, which may well have influenced the final draft of The Shack. The book refers to God as "the ground of all being" that "dwells in, around, and through all things--ultimately emerging as the real" (p. 112)--this is the ripe fruit of contemplative/emerging spirituality. One can find this language and definition of God in the writings of John Shelby Spong and Marcus Borg, and the concept overflows within the emerging camp. Let there be no mistake, this description of God does not mean that God upholds everything; it means that God is the essence of all that exists (in other words, He dwells in all humans and all creation). New Age proponent Sue Monk Kidd would agree with The Shack's definition of God: in her book, First Light, she says God is the graffiti on the building (p. 98)."

"The gap between the New Age and Christianity is being narrowed, and The Shack is another disastrous and deceptive tool that will bring this about. When David Jeremiah* favorably quoted and referenced Sue Monk Kidd in his book, Life Wide Open, we knew this would further close the gap that gave Christianity its distinctness. It is this distinctness that allows sinful man to see his need for a Savior. When that gap closes, the Gospel message will be hidden from view from even more people than it is today. The Shack has brought about some huge strides in causing this to take place."

Greg Laurie of Calvary Chapel Endorses Purpose Driven Apostasy

Thank you to Lighthouse Trails Research for another well written and informative article

Greg Laurie Connects Purpose Driven to a Move of God - Gives Financial Support
Source: Editors at Lighthouse Trails

"And now this brings us to the unpleasant task of reporting that Greg Laurie is giving a strong promotion of Rick Warren and Bill Hybels, which means he is indirectly promoting contemplative and emerging (which we will explain later in this article), and directly promoting Purpose Driven."

"And unfortunately, there is a twist to this story. In Laurie's May 2008 letter to pastors and leaders, Laurie talks about his upcoming crusade in New York City, saying, in reference to it, "God is on the move." He then states that "[t]his move is also seen in the formation of the New York City Leadership group. Under their direction, a community-wide 40 Days of Purpose campaign with Pastor Rick Warren has been launched, and the significant services of Bill Hybels' Leadership Summit conferences are also being organized to strengthen the local church." Because Laurie has publicly connected Purpose Driven to a move of God and calls Willow Creek's conferences "significant," Lighthouse Trails has no choice but to issue this warning to the body of Christ."

"In addition to Greg Laurie's letter to pastors regarding Rick Warren and Bill Hybels, Lighthouse Trails has also learned that Laurie is also helping to finance Warren's September event in New York. Lighthouse Trails contacted the New York City Leadership group this past week after we learned that Laurie's name was on their website showing him to be a sponsor. The New York City office said that this sponsorship is in the way of financial support and is for Rick Warren's September conference. There are two "Event Sponsors": Greg Laurie and a legal firm in New York. Without a doubt, Laurie supports Purpose Driven."
