Obama Says He Will Send US Troops to West Africa to Help Ebola Epidemic as Deaths Top 2,100

President Barack Obama announced Sunday that he will be sending members of the U.S. military to West Africa to help in the deadliest Ebola outbreak in history, which has claimed over 2,100 lives.

"We're going to have to get U.S. military assets just to set up, for example, isolation units and equipment there to provide security for public health workers surging from around the world," Obama said Sunday on NBC's "Meet the Press."

"What we're seeing is a ... hugely fast increase in cases that's harder and harder to manage. The more we can get in there and tamp that down, the fewer cases we'll have in the weeks and months to come."

While Obama said that it is unlikely that the virus will spread to the U.S. in the short term, he warned that the disease could threaten the U.S. in the future.

"There's the prospect then that the virus mutates, it becomes more easily transmittable, and then it could be a serious danger to the U.S.," the president said.

"Stopping this disease won't be easy, but we know how to do it," Obama said. "You are not alone. Together, we can treat those who are sick with respect and dignity, we can save lives, and our countries can work together to improve public health so this kind of outbreak doesn't happen again."

How much more plain does it have to be? An unprecedented, meaning nothing like it ever before, U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit to "build democracy and raise investment in the continent". A more accurate description would be the corporate-globalization takeover of Africa. Corporate globalization is just another name for Agenda 21 regional global government. At the highest level, "regional global government" looks like continental divisions. Ebola outbreak could have 'catastrophic' consequences

(CNN) -- Fear over Ebola is growing as international leaders and health organizations struggle to try to stop the deadly epidemic in West Africa.

The Ebola outbreak "is moving faster than our efforts to control it," Margaret Chan, director-general of the World Health Organization, said in a statement Friday. "This is an unprecedented outbreak accompanied by unprecedented challenges. And these challenges are extraordinary."

This is the first Ebola outbreak in West Africa and involves the most deadly strain in the Ebola virus family, Chan said.

"If the situation continues to deteriorate, the consequences can be catastrophic in terms of lost lives but also severe socioeconomic disruption and a high risk of spread to other countries." One of those countries could be the United States, health officials have said. In fact, the U.S. Department of State announced Friday that it is working with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to bring home two U.S. citizens who have been infected by Ebola in Liberia.

Sierra Leone declares public health emergency as other West African nations set new airport controls

The World Health Organization is launching a $100-million response plan to combat an "unprecedented" outbreak of Ebola in West Africa that has killed 729 people out of 1,323 infected since February, the agency said on Thursday.

WHO Director General Margaret Chan will meet in Conakry, Guinea, on Friday with the presidents of affected West African nations, the United Nations health agency said in a statement.

"The scale of the Ebola outbreak, and the persistent threat it poses, requires WHO and Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone to take the response to a new level and this will require increased resources, in-country medical expertise, regional preparedness and co-ordination," said Chan.

"The plan sets out new needs to respond to the outbreak across the countries and bring up the level of preparedness in neighbouring countries," WHO spokesman Paul Garwood said. "They need better information and infection-control measures."

"It could be helpful for the government to have powers to isolate and quarantine people and it's certainly better than what's been done so far," said Dr. Heinz Feldmann, chief of virology at U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. "Whether it works, we will have to wait and see."

In a measure of rising international concern, Britain on Wednesday held a government meeting on Ebola, which it said was a threat it needed to respond to.

The president said police and the military would enforce a quarantine on all epicentres of the disease, and would provide support to health officers and NGOs to do their work unhindered, following a number of attacks on health workers by local communities.

House-to-house searches would be implemented to trace Ebola victims and homes where the disease was identified would be quarantined until cleared by medical teams, he said, announcing a ban on all public meetings except those related to Ebola.

Sierra Leone, a former British colony, said passengers arriving and departing Lungi International Airport would be subject to new protocols, including body temperature scans...Nigeria's civil aviation authority (NCAA) said on Thursday it had started temperature screening passengers arriving from places at risk from Ebola...Ghana also said it was immediately introducing body temperature screening of all travellers from West African countries at Accra airport and other major entry points, with isolation centres being set up in three towns.

(CNN) -- Nigeria and four neighboring countries will share intelligence and border surveillance in the hunt for more than 200 Nigerian girls still held by Boko Haram, and Western nations will provide technical expertise and training to the new regional African effort against the extreme Islamists.

The plan was announced Saturday at the conclusion of a security summit in Paris hosted by French President François Hollande.

Hollande described Boko Haram as now a bigger terror threat than first portrayed -- beyond Nigeria and even Africa...."Boko Haram is an organization that is linked to terrorism in Africa and whose will is to destabilize the north of Nigeria, certainly, and all the neighboring countries of Nigeria and beyond that region," he said.

"Boko Haram is no longer a local terror group," Jonathan said. "It is clearly operating as an al Qaeda operation" in central Africa, he said.

Nigeria will coordinate patrols, pool intelligence and exchange weapons and human trafficking information with Benin, Cameroon, Chad and Niger, according to the agreement reached at the summit.

France, the United States, the United Kingdom and the European Union "will coordinate their support for this regional cooperation" through technical expertise, training programs and support for border-area management programs, a summit statement said.

The participants agreed that the United Kingdom will host a follow-up meeting next month to review the action plan.

On Christmas Eve, the Pentagon announced that 3,500 soldiers of the 1st Infantry Division’s 2nd Brigade, in Fort Riley, Kansas, will be sent to Africa, supposedly to confront a threat from al-Qaida in Mali, where Islamists have seized the northern part of the country. But the 2nd Brigade is scheduled to hold more than 100 military exercises in 35 countries [9], most of which have no al-Qaida presence. So, although there is no doubt that the U.S. will be deeply involved in the impending military operation in Mali, the 2nd Brigade’s deployment is a much larger assignment, aimed at making all of Africa a theater of U.S. military operations. The situation in Mali is simply a convenient, after-the-fact rationale for a long-planned expansion of the U.S. military footprint in Africa.

The Pentagon’s larger purpose in placing an army brigade on roving duty all across the continent is to acclimate African commanders to hosting a permanent, large scale U.S. presence. While it is virtually impossible to know what the truth is in regard to Gadhafi, the NWO's report of his death is highly doubtful. Gaddafi was not the problem. As revealed by the quote below from a Feb. '09 article, Gadhafi was/is an 'insider' - named at that time chairman of the 53 member African Union - with a "dream of transforming Africa". That "dream," it just so happens, is exactly the same as the "vision" of the Zionist-NWO'ers - global regional-government:

WASHINGTON—Intervening in a volatile and brutal crisis, President Barack Obama said Friday he has dispatched 100 U.S. troops to central Africa to support a years-long fight against a guerrilla group accused of horrific atrocities. Obama said they were sent to advise, not engage in combat, unless forced to defend themselves.

In a letter to Congress, Obama said the troops will act as advisers in a long-running battle against the Lord's Resistance Army, considered one of Africa's most ruthless rebel groups, and help to hunt down its notorious leader, Joseph Kony.

The first of the troops arrived in Uganda on Wednesday, the White House said, and others will be sent to South Sudan, the Central African Republic and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Mike Mullen: U.S. Mission In Libya 'Limited', But No End In Sight

WASHINGTON -- Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Adm. Michael Mullen made the rounds of the morning talk shows on Sunday, and one of the main messages that emerged on Libya is that, right now, there just aren't many answers: how long the U.S. will stay involved, how long a no-fly zone will stay in place, and how much capacity the U.S. military has to sustain another conflict.

On "Fox News Sunday," host Chris Wallace pointed out to Mullen that with the U.S. at war in Iraq and Afghanistan, there were already concerns that America's armed forces were stretched too thin. "How can you take on a third operation?" asked Wallace. "Is something going to have to give?"

Mullen stressed that, at this point, the mission in Libya remains very "limited," and therefore, the U.S. military has been able to carry it out effectively.

When asked by Wallace how long America will remain involved in Libya, Mullen responded, "I don't have an exact date in mind, and I haven't been given a date by the president where U.S. military participation here would end." When asked whether, at some point, forces will be ordered to take out Libyan leader Moammar Gaddafi, Mullen said, "I wouldn't speculate what the mission might be in the future."

In reality though that end date is not at all hard to figure out. The end will be when the people of Libya (not NWO insider Gaddafi) have been submitted to the Zionist-NWO agenda, just like every other people group on the earth.
