Largest African Free Trade area to become reality

Historic agreement could herald start of an economic revolution

26 African countries have signed an agreement in Uganda that aims to create Africa’s largest free trade area within the next six months.

The plan aims to merge the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (Comesa), the East African Community (EAC) and the Southern African Development Community (Sadc) into one regional economic market.

Leaders said they asked a tripartite task force to work on a ‘roadmap’ to implement the merger within six months.

They also said they work towards setting up a single customs union.

Uganda's President Yoweri Museveni welcomed the agreement, stating that regional integration is a strategic tool that can ensure the future prosperity of Africa.

He said Africa should also work on other forms of integration.

The regionalizing of the globe is reaching speeds that are breathtaking. Here is a first announcement of another new economically integrated region, the "African". Including this integration of 26 African nations scheduled to be implemented within the next six months, a total of four brand new global regions will have appeared on the world government horizon in less than a year. The 12 nation "South American Union" was formed 5-'08, the 43 nation "Mediterranean Union" in 7-'08, and the 10 nation "Asian Union" first mentioned 6-'08 is to be formally ratified in 12-'08.

The global management plan of regional governments under a single central authority aka Agenda 21 , as opposed to autonomous sovereign nations, is materializing before our eyes. One world government, in other words. No more playing at it...it is here now, you are looking at it.
