Barcelona Process: Union for the Mediterranean ministerial conference (Marseille, November 3 & 4)
The aim is to begin implementing the strengthened partnership around the Mediterranean launched at the Paris summit on July 31.
The Marseilles conference will address three main themes:
It will draw up an interim report on new concrete partnership projects and their implementation, emphasizing the six main priority areas identified at the July 31 summit.
Ministers will adopt a program of work for the Barcelona Process: Union for the Mediterranean for 2009. The sector ministerial meetings, to be held next year, will help in implementing the specific projects (depolluting the Mediterranean, the Mediterranean solar plan, civilian protection, higher education and research, transport, development of small and medium size businesses).
It will examine the modalities of the new governance introduced by the Barcelona Process: Union for the Mediterranean, the main principles of which were adopted in Paris with a view to greater and more balanced partnership management of cooperation around the Mediterranean.

Following in the footsteps of the 12 nation South American Union who on 10-17-08 announced that they had met to establish a governing parliament for their new region, the new 43 nation Mediterranean Union (7-13-08 video) is meeting today and tomorrow to begin to mobilize and implement the new governance model, and to take their place in the regional system of global government that is now changing the the face of the world. The 'Asian Union' in December '08 is scheduled to launch also. The European Union exists, and the NAU is right around the corner.

Very briefly, for bible prophecy watchers...the development of these things is exactly what you should be looking for. When the dividing of the earth into regions, along with the forming of a global religion progresses to the point of becoming a working model, as is even now getting off the ground in a huge way, it is time to realize that the long awaited time of the fulfillment has truly come. The biblical prophecies of Daniel and the Revelation are absolutely coming to pass in detail. What is now taking shape is the precise scenario predicted in Holy Scripture as just prior to the appearance of the personal Antichrist. This global system, according to the Word of God, is being constructed for him, and when it is ready he will rise to take control over the world and establish his 666 kingdom...for a time:
Rev. 12: 12 "Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time." (This scripture is in reference to AFTER his taking control of the world.)
These are incredibly significant developments. The days are upon us.
