Louisiana Bans Cash Transactions for Second-Hand Merchandise

A new law passed in Louisiana has made it illegal for consumers to pay for second-hand goods with cash, in a ruling that has a substantial effect on the many flea markets in the state...House Bill 195 states that “Anyone, other than a non-profit entity, who buys, sells, trades in or otherwise acquires or disposes of junk or used or secondhand property more frequently than once per month from any other person, other than a non-profit entity, shall be deemed as being in the business of a secondhand dealer. A secondhand dealer shall not enter into any cash transactions in payment for the purchase of junk or used or secondhand property. Payment shall be made in the form of check, electronic transfers, or money order issued to the seller of the junk or used or secondhand property.”

The bill will make operations for trading posts and flea markets far more strenuous in an attempt to stop fraud, as customers will be forced to use checks or money orders for transactions. The definition of the bill is broad enough that it also could be used to stop sales through Ebay or Craigslist. State Representative Rickey Hardy, who co-authored the bill, said that the paper trail will make it more difficult for criminals to sell stolen items for quick cash. “It’s a mechanism to be used so the police department has something to go on and have a lead.”

Attorney Thad D. Ackel, lead counsel at Ackel and Associates LLC, writes on the firm’s blog a detailed description of what would be necessary for every cash sale. “For every transaction a secondhand dealer must obtain the seller’s personal information such as their name, address, driver’s license number and the license plate number of the vehicle in which the goods were delivered. They must also make a detailed description of the item(s) purchased and submit this with the personal identification information of every transaction to the local policing authorities through electronic daily reports.”

This is a major story. SCOTUS is taking up a very closely related issue next week [see 'follow up' above]. They are two sides of the same coin. The SCOTUS case is to determine if a person even has the "right" to resell goods without "permission", and we now discover that the apparatus is already being put in place to control all of the 'buying' of second-hand merchandise. The last paragraph of the above article reveals just how over-the-top this new system actually is - any cash transaction that did for some reason happen would require full-disclosure police reports. Taking away from the people the ability to use cash is to instantly establish draconian control of them. Louisana just did it, and clearly now that one state has got the ball rolling, it will not be long before all the other states follow suit. It is all part of the much bigger plan to ultimately control every financial transaction on the entire planet. The 666 thing where 'no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name' (Rev. 13:17) will be planet-wide, nothing less. Obviously cash cannot be part of the game plan, so, just make it 'illegal' - and they are.

SYDNEY, October 18, 2012, (LifeSiteNews.com) – Australian school children are to be told that heterosexuality is not the norm, according to a new education department pilot program called “Proud Schools.” 

“Heterosexism” is one of the evils that the Proud Schools program is intended to stamp out, along with “homophobia and transphobia,” education officials have said. According to the minutes from the Proud Schools steering committee on March 22, 2011, the program focuses on reversing “the dominance of heterosexism rather than on homophobia.”

The program defines “heterosexism” as the practice of “positioning heterosexuality as the norm for human relationship,” according to the Proud Schools Consultation Report. “It involves ignoring, making invisible or discriminating against non-heterosexual people, their relationships and their interests. Heterosexism feeds homophobia.”

The committee suggested that teachers must monitor the playground in order to stamp out “heterosexist” language among children in out-of-class hours. The education department has allocated $250,000 for the pilot program that is running now in 12 state schools.

Proud Schools recommends using Personal Development, Health, and Physical Education classes, starting in Year 7 (12- and 13-year-olds), to “incorporate learning about same-sex attraction and sexual diversity.”

The Telegraph’s Miranda Devine wrote that “at least” 10 Liberal Party MPs are “extremely concerned” about the program, and will complain to Education Minister Adrian Piccoli this week.

US Appeals Court Strikes Down DOMA; SCOTUS Awaits

US appeals court rules against Defense of Marriage Act

Court says key part of marriage law is unconstitutional, Supreme Court could take up the issue in its current term

NEW YORK, Oct 18 (Reuters) - A U.S. appeals court in New York ruled on Thursday that a U.S. law defining marriage as a union between a man and a woman is unconstitutional. It was the second federal appeals court to reject the law, which could go before the Supreme Court soon.

The Defense of Marriage Act was passed in 1996. Since then, six states have legalized same-sex marriage but, because of the 1996 law, the federal government does not recognize same-sex marriages performed in those states.

The 2-1 decision also found that gays and lesbians are entitled to heightened protection from the courts, based on the history of discrimination the group has suffered.

Judge Chester Straub, who dissented, argued that the federal definition of marriage should be left to the political process. "If this understanding is to be changed, I believe it is for the American people to do so," he wrote.

The ruling did not address another provision of the law that says that states where same-sex marriage is illegal do not have to recognize same-sex marriages performed in states that permit it.

As reported by CBS 4 News in Denver, workers at hospitals across the state no longer have the option to choose for themselves whether or not to get jabbed with the untested annual flu vaccine — their only choice in the matter is to either take the shot by the end of the year or else get fired.

Back in January, Colorado’s Board of Health voted 7-1 in favor of mandating that all hospitals, nursing homes, and certain other health facilities across the state achieve a 90 percent flu vaccination rate by 2014-2015, a requirement that essentially forces healthcare groups to mandate that all their employees be vaccinated for the flu (http://www.denverpost.com/breakingnews/ci_19984300). And even though these requirements do not have to be fully achieved for several more years, nearly all major hospitals in Colorado have already enacted mandates that all their employees be vaccinated for the flu.

"Largest Safety Drill Ever" - 'Great ShakeOut' On 10-18 At 10:18 AM

Millions to Participate in FEMA Drill Next Week

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. — On October 18, 2012 at 10:18 a.m. EDT, more than one million people across five states and the District of Columbia are scheduled to take part in the first ever Great SouthEast ShakeOut. The ShakeOut is a regional earthquake drill in which participants simultaneously practice the recommended action during an earthquake. This action is known as “Drop, Cover, and Hold On”

The states of Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia are encouraging their schools, businesses, organizations, government agencies, communities, and households to participate in this historic event.  These states are being supported by the Central U.S. Earthquake Consortium (CUSEC), the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), and many other local, state, federal and volunteer partners. CUSEC coordinates a similar drill across nine Central U.S. states, which had more than 2.4 million participants in February, 2012.*

This regional earthquake drill comes on the heels of the one year anniversary of the August 23, 2011 M5.9 Mineral, Virginia earthquake. Last year’s earthquake caused significant damage in Louisa County, Virginia, and also millions of dollars in damages in Washington, D.C.

FEMA Region III Acting Regional Administrator Robert Welch is encouraging individuals and organizations to register and join the Great ShakeOut “We were reminded last year that earthquakes can and do happen anywhere.

Funny thing about "Great ShakeOut" earthquake drills is that they have a history of coinciding with 'earthquakes' occurring the very the same day, and/or "widespread destruction":

Note: Several states and foreign countries will be holding individual ShakeOut drills, many of which will be on the same day at 10:18 local times [2012 ShakeOut], but the Southeast is the only multi-state regional drill - FEMA Region III they call it - and it is specifically set for the exact day and time. As noted above, it comes "on the heels of the first year anniversary" of the anomaly-ridden Virginia 'quake' of August 2011, where earthquakes were not supposed to happen [see links below]. Amtrak Joins the Police State fff.org

[excerpted] According to Homeland Security Today, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has forged “a new partnership” with “the Department of Transportation (DOT) and Amtrak to battle the trafficking of humans.”

DHS will train “over 8,000 frontline transportation employees and Amtrak Police Department officers” on how to recognize and report trafficking indicators and suspected traffickers. Those frontline employees include anyone who comes into regular contact with the public, including ticket sellers. If Wikipedia can be trusted, there are currently about 450 Amtrak police who handle law enforcement and security for the government-owned passenger train system.

Soon, over 8,000 Amtrak employees will overtly or covertly examine passengers for the validity of their identification, their level of stress, how they interact, and their conversations. It is so necessary to treat Amtrak customers as criminal suspects because, according to HS Today, an “estimated 100,000 children are trafficked in the sex trade in the United States each year,” with the average age being 11 to 14, and some being as young as 9. This means that passengers — and especially men — traveling with children will be subject to enhanced scrutiny. Perhaps the trained employees will engage children in conversation or demand a statement of their relationship status with the accompanying adults.

The total police state that operates at airports is spreading to train stations — and beyond. HS Today states that the Department of Transportation “is currently training its more than 55,000 employees to identify and report human trafficking.”

In theory, people may still be free to exercise their constitutional right against unreasonable searches and refuse to comply. In practice, as happens at airports, those who resist will almost certainly be denied the ability to travel and will perhaps be detained for questioning by the police. Government officials have long argued that such items as a driver’s license are not only mandatory for travel but also state-granted privileges rather than inalienable rights.

The partnership between DHS and Amtrak allows the government one more avenue of surveillance; it chips one more bit of freedom away from the average person, who is just trying to make it through the day. In the future, when a man boards a train in the company of a minor or a woman, or when he merely looks suspicious, he may be asked where he is going, for how long, and why. What is his relationship to the companion? What is his profession? The companion may be asked whether she feels free to step away from the other passenger. She may be questioned separately and her story compared to the other passenger’s. And heaven help anyone who looks sad, enraged, or stressed out.

Another channel of convenience and freedom is being lost to national-security agents who seem determined to turn all of America into an airport screening zone.

Sheriff Wants Drones To Peek Inside Buildings

[excerpted] Sheriff Gregory Ahern wants to put Alameda County on the map as the first jurisdiction in California to use surveillance drones for law enforcement purposes, turning to technology previously used to hunt insurgents in Afghanistan that would allow police to peek inside buildings to detect heat sources of people or the lights of indoor pot growing operations.



Although Sheriff Ahern promised that the drones would only be used in “emergency” situations such as high speed chases, he told NBC News that the devices could also be used for “proactive policing,” including scanning buildings for heat sources such as people or lights that could indicate illegal marijuana growing operations.

The ACLU points out that the drones violate the 4th Amendment because they allow police surveillance of private property without a warrant.

The Sheriff’s office will join with 30 other law enforcement agencies later this month for its annual “Urban Shield” preparedness exercise, during which different versions of the drones will be field tested.

UK To Announce Plan To Use "Internet Identities" For Official Identification - To Be Basis For Global System

National 'virtual ID card' scheme set for launch independent.co.uk

The Government will announce details this month of a controversial national identity scheme which will allow people to use their mobile phones and social media profiles as official identification documents for accessing public services.

People wishing to apply for services ranging from tax credits to fishing licences and passports will be asked to choose from a list of familiar online log-ins, including those they already use on social media sites, banks, and large retailers such as supermarkets, to prove their identity.

The Cabinet Office is understood to have held discussions with the Post Office, high street banks, mobile phone companies and technology giants ranging from Facebook and Microsoft to Google, PayPal and BT.

Major web sites are able to recognise individuals by their patterns of use, the device they are accessing from and its location.

Details of the “identity assurance” scheme are being finalised amid growing concerns over identity theft and other forms of cybercrime. Foreign Secretary William Hague and Cabinet Office minister Francis Maude, who is at the head of the Identity Assurance Programme, will today (Thurs) meet international experts at the Budapest Conference on Cyberspace.

The Government hopes the identity system will form the basis of a universally-recognised online authentication process for commercial transactions on the Internet...

Members of the Cabinet Office team travelled to the White House in May to exchange ideas with American counterparts working on the National Strategy for Trusted Identities in Cyberspace (NSTIC). Military Police Used for Crowd Control at College Football Game

COLUMBIA, SC (AP/WIS) - Columbia police are preparing for the big crowds expected after the Georgia-South Carolina football game Saturday night.

Police officials said Tuesday they will spend more than $11,000 in overtime for 50 officers who will be assigned to Columbia's Five Points and Vista areas to work after the game.

Officials say campus police, Richland County sheriff's deputies, the South Carolina Highway Patrol and Fort Jackson's military police will help with crowd control after the game.

The Cybercrime Prevention Act, which just came into effect, is so broad and loophole-ridden that a wide range of online activity could be considered libelous. Even if you don’t write the material, just sharing it with someone online could land you in prison.

In the face of this unjust law, Filipinos have been protesting in the streets and online to stand up for their rights. An alliance of organizations, bloggers, media, and everyday citizens have come together and brought international attention to their cause, and have reached a tipping point.²

"The Philippines has approved measures to prosecute users that post “defamatory” comments on social media websites such as Twitter and Facebook. They will be liable for a fine of 1 million pesos (US$24,000) or face up to 12 years in prison...Websites that publish the material may also be shut down.

Aside from prosecuting users who post material deemed offensive, the bill grants authorities the power to collate and retain information from people’s Facebook and Twitter profiles, as well as eavesdropping on conversations over Skype. “Anybody using popular social networks or who publishes online is now at risk of a long prison term should a reader – including government officials – bring a libel charge,” Adams said.

Alarmingly, an accused citizen can’t even use intent or good faith as a defense against this horrible law — meaning that the government has unrestricted and unchecked power to throw whomever they like in jail. Court extends stop on order blocking indefinite detention law

A federal appeals court has extended a temporary stay of a district court judge's order barring the government from using an indefinite detention provision in a defense bill passed by Congress and signed by President Barack Obama late last year.

A three-judge motions panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit issued the order Tuesday afternoon, indicating they saw flaws with the scope and rationale for U.S. District Court Judge Katherine Forrest's original order blocking the disputed provision of the National Defense Authorization Act of 2011. The judges [wrote]:

First, in its memorandum of law in support of its motion, the government clarifies unequivocally that, 'based on their stated activities,' plaintiffs, 'journalists and activists[,] . . . are in no danger whatsoever of ever being captured and detained by the U.S. military.'

Second, on its face, the statute does not affect the existing rights of United States citizens or other individuals arrested in the United States. See NDAA § 1021(e) ('Nothing in this section shall be construed to affect existing law or authorities relating to the detention of United States citizens, lawful resident aliens of the United States, or any other persons who are captured or arrested in the United States.').

Third, the language of the district court's injunction appears to go beyond NDAA § 1021 itself and to limit the government's authority under the Authorization for Use of Military Force...

The case will go forward now before what will likely be a different trio of judges, but the stay will likely remain in place pending resolution of the government's appeal...All three judges on the motions panel were appointed to the appeals court by President Barack Obama.

And so on it goes to the next leg of it's journey, rubberstamped and downplayed in it's significance as to the stripping away of the rights of Americans. Although it is stated that "based on their stated activities, plaintiffs, journalists, and activists" ...are in no danger...of being captured and detained" (first statement) ...the simple fact is that the statute clearly gives the military the authority to supercede any and all domestic law enforcement and legal procedures whenever they claim that it is necessary - even though "existing rights", per se,  remain in place (second statement). It does not take much conjecture to see that by simply making a claim that any certain individual was NOT acting according to their "stated activities", under this provision, that individual could then be whisked away without due process - indefinitely. The third statement above reinforces this, addressing the subject of 'not limiting' the "use of military force".

Semantics semantics. Military authority which can supercede domestic law enforcement at will is in essence a martial law scenario. The Zionist-NWO cannot exist without totalitarian control via military rule. As it stands, this looks to be headed to SCOTUS for permanen-tizing. Be aware. Rev. 18:4

WASHINGTON—Pro-life activists from across the country were arrested for a third straight day Monday for protesting on restricted space in front of the White House. The protests were sparked by the Health and Human Services (HHS) mandate that forces faith organizations to cover birth control and abortion-inducing drugs in the health insurance coverage they offer employees—a part of the Obama administration’s healthcare law that took effect in August. 

The arrests are part of a project called ActsFive29, named for the Bible verse that says, “We must obey God rather than men.” The four-day series of events kicked off Saturday afternoon, and will finish with more planned arrests Tuesday afternoon. 

Sunday’s activities included a rally that featured speakers Lila Rose, president of Live Action; Father Frank Pavone, national director of Priests for Life; and Bryan Fischer, director of issues analysis for the American Family Association, among others. After the rally, 32 people were arrested while peacefully protesting on the sidewalk in front of the White House, many of them kneeling in prayer.

Patrick Mahoney, an organizer of the event and director of the Christian Defense Coalition, said the new HHS rule has taken Christians by surprise, so the church is playing “catch up” to let their voices be heard. He said the four days of activities in front of the White House are only the beginning of the resistance to the mandate “We’re not an event, we’re a movement,” he said 

Sixty-six persons have been arrested since Saturday. At least two remain in custody after refusing to pay the $100 fine in order to be released.

Arrested for "kneeling in prayer" in front of the White House as a form of protest against the new federal "mandate" forcing companies and organizations to pay for, for one thing, drugs that will induce a pregnant woman to abort a child. Arrested in America for not wanting to be complicit in the killing of an unborn child...really? The harsh reality is that the answer is yes. And also that there is a method to the madness, which is to instigate the very civil disobedience which the above group describes as "only the beginning of the resistance".

And no doubt that is absolutely true.  It is only the beginning because what is happening here is not by chance but has been carefully designed by the NWO architects of ordo ab chao for this very purpose.  Rev. 18:4
