Last month, 8-'09, Ban Ki-moon said that the upcoming Copenhagen world conference in December on so-called climate change is essentially the last chance for the nations of the earth to "seal a deal..[to]..secure the future of our planet"...before the earth basically implodes. [note to earth: only three months left now]
Just how urgent is it? Well, if you will believe the "six powerful voices" in this ridiculously contrived little propaganda video, then we are in a heap of trouble...islands will be submerged, the arctic will vanish, forests and farm lands? ...gone, those nasty cars?....they will choke us, and, oh yes, the oceans will drown us. The world is out of time, and all this is certain to happen, they say:

1. "My island nation will be submerged by the rising sea" Mohammed Nasheed; President of the Maldives, sitting at a desk on the beach partially emerged in the rising tide.

3. "Our forests will turn into deserts" Wangari Maathi; Nobel Peace Prize winner, standing under a lone tree in a dried-up grassland.
4. "Hotter temperatures and drought will threaten our farm lands" Don Cheadle; actor, standing in a planted field.
5. " Our emissions will continue to pollute the air" Midori; UN Messenger of Peace, standing on a freeway overpass with traffic underneath zooming by in fast forward mode.
