This is an important article to read for any who would understand the need to attempt to stay abreast of the ever worsening and open apostatising of what used to be the Christian church. Deconstructing the world

He argues that people who believe in hell may be inclined to dominate and take advantage of other people, rather than help them.

6. McLaren says: In attempts to solve these problems, humans often have resorted to imperialism, revolution, scapegoating and isolation, McLaren said. But Jesus offered an alternative strategy that offers people the prosperity, equity and security they seek, he said.

Did jesus offer prosperity, equity and security, or...... hatred of the world, tribulation, and persecution....but, peace in him! (Christ)

The Bible says:

John 15:18-19 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

2Timothy 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

Though older Christian ministers may be able to remain in the bubble of modern thinking, youth pastors must trust God through this time of transition and make a change to new ways of thinking, he said.

The Message Of Christianity Is The Cross

The message of the cross ( 1 Cor. 1:17-18). No longer found in Christendom today. The 'cross' separates the "outward professors" from the "inward possessors". The true Christian from the false. Many may say Lord, Lord, but many will also hear "in that day", "I never knew you: depart..."

"MANY will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity." Matt. 7:22-23

Without the preaching of the cross, there is no gospel. Here then is a classic little writing on the true meaning of the cross by another famous preacher of the past, A. W. Tozer.

The Old Cross and the New

ALL UNANNOUNCED AND MOSTLY UNDETECTED there has come in modern times a new cross into popular evangelical circles. It is like the old cross, but different: the likenesses are superficial; the differences, fundamental.

From this new cross has sprung a new philosophy of the Christian life, and from that new philosophy has come a new evangelical technique-a new type of meeting and a new kind of preaching. This new evangelism employs the same language as the old, but its content is not the same and its emphasis not as before.

The old cross would have no truck with the world. For Adam's proud flesh it meant the end of the journey. It carried into effect the sentence imposed by the law of Sinai. The new cross is not opposed to the human race; rather, it is a friendly pal and, if understood aright, it is the source of oceans of good clean fun and innocent enjoyment. It lets Adam live without interference. His life motivation is unchanged; he still lives for his own pleasure, only now he takes delight in singing choruses and watching religious movies instead of singing bawdy songs and drinking hard liquor. The accent is still on enjoyment, though the fun is now on a higher plane morally if not intellectually.

The new cross encourages a new and entirely different evangelistic approach. The evangelist does not demand abnegation of the old life before a new life can be received. He preaches not contrasts but similarities. He seeks to key into public interest by showing that Christianity makes no unpleasant demands; rather, it offers the same thing the world does, only on a higher level. Whatever the sin-mad world happens to be clamoring after at the moment is cleverly shown to be the very thing the gospel offers, only the religious product is better.

The new cross does not slay the sinner, it redirects him. It gears him into a cleaner and jollier way of living and saves his self-respect. To the self-assertive it says, "Come and assert yourself for Christ." To the egotist it says, "Come and do your boasting in the Lord." To the thrill seeker it says, "Come and enjoy the thrill of Christian fellowship." The Christian message is slanted in the direction of the current vogue in order to make it acceptable to the public.

The philosophy back of this kind of thing may be sincere but its sincerity does not save it from being false. It is false because it is blind. It misses completely the whole meaning of the cross.

The old cross is a symbol of death. It stands for the abrupt, violent end of a human being. The man in Roman times who took up his cross and started down the road had already said good-by to his friends. He was not coming back. He was going out to have it ended. The cross made no compromise, modified nothing, spared nothing; it slew all of the man, completely and for good. It did not try to keep on good terms with its victim. It struck cruel and hard, and when it had finished its work, the man was no more.

The race of Adam is under death sentence. There is no commutation and no escape. God cannot approve any of the fruits of sin, however innocent they may appear or beautiful to the eyes of men. God salvages the individual by liquidating him and then raising him again to newness of life.

That evangelism which draws friendly parallels between the ways of God and the ways of men is false to the Bible and cruel to the souls of its hearers. The faith of Christ does not parallel the world, it intersects it. In coming to Christ we do not bring our old life up onto a higher plane; we leave it at the cross. The corn of wheat must fall into the ground and die.

We who preach the gospel must not think of ourselves as public relations agents sent to establish good will between Christ and the world. We must not imagine ourselves commissioned to make Christ acceptable to big business, the press, the world of sports or modern education. We are not diplomats but prophets, and our message is not a compromise but an ultimatum.

God offers life, but not an improved old life. The life He offers is life out of death. It stands always on the far side of the cross. Whoever would possess it must pass under the rod. He must repudiate himself and concur in God's just sentence against him.

What does this mean to the individual, the condemned man who would find life in Christ Jesus? How can this theology be translated into life? Simply, he must repent and believe. He must forsake his sins and then go on to forsake himself. Let him cover nothing, defend nothing, excuse nothing. Let him not seek to make terms with God, but let him bow his head before the stroke of God's stern displeasure and acknowledge himself worthy to die.

Having done this let him gaze with simple trust upon the risen Saviour, and from Him will come life and rebirth and cleansing and power. The cross that ended the earthly life of Jesus now puts an end to the sinner; and the power that raised Christ from the dead now raises him to a new life along with Christ.

To any who may object to this or count it merely a narrow and private view of truth, let me say God has set His hallmark of approval upon this message from Paul's day to the present. Whether stated in these exact words or not, this has been the content of all preaching that has brought life and power to the world through the centuries. The mystics, the reformers, the revivalists have put their emphasis here, and signs and wonders and mighty operations of the Holy Ghost gave witness to God's approval.

Dare we, the heirs of such a legacy of power, tamper with the truth? Dare we with our stubby pencils erase the lines of the blueprint or alter the pattern shown us in the Mount? May God forbid. Let us preach the old cross and we will know the old power. (A. W. Tozer; "Man, the Dwelling Place of God", 1966)

If you belong to a church today you will be, sooner or later, confronted with this issue, and have to make a choice. Politically correct, or God's truth, honor, and holiness? This utter corruption of the 'outward professing church' is also a fulfillment of bible prophecy. The Word of God foretells of this corrupted condition of the 'outward professing church' as being the last, final state of Christendom, and tells us that at that time it will merge into and become part of the global system of the Antichrist. This is biblical prophecy (Rev. 3:16-17). The true church, as opposed to the "outward professing" one, is to be separated out from this corrupted parody of religiousness (2 Cor. 6:17). BOSTON — Europe and the United States must increase their efforts to solve global problems like terrorism, the environment, hunger and poverty, Prime Minister Gordon Brown of Britain said Friday in a wide-ranging speech at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum here.

“We urgently need to step out of the mind-set of competing interests and instead find our common interests — and we must summon up the best instincts and efforts of humanity in a cooperative effort to build new international rules and institutions for the new global era,” Mr. Brown said. He was in Boston the day after visiting Washington to meet with President Bush and the three major candidates for the presidency.

“Instability in one country will affect stability in all countries; an injustice anywhere is now a threat to justice everywhere,” Mr. Brown said. “And that is how we must respond..."

Mr. Brown continued to call for reform of the United Nations, the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, and urged a greater role for China, India, South Africa and other emerging countries in those organizations and in the Group of 8, which consists of leading industrialized countries. He also said that the European Union, the African Union and other groups of countries should help with humanitarian aid and peacekeeping in troubled nations.

“For the first time in human history, we have the opportunity to come together around a global covenant, to reframe the international architecture and build the truly global society,” he said.

“American leadership will be and is indispensable,” Mr. Brown said. “And now is an opportunity for an historic effort in cooperation: a new dawn in collaborative action between America and Europe.”

This was a truly remarkable and incredibly significant speech given yesterday (4/18/08) at the JFK Presidential Library by the Prime Minister of Britain, Gordon Brown. It is doubtful if these things called for by Brown have ever been stated more openly or clearly, i.e. a "global covenant", "reframing the international architecture", "building the global society", as well as "new international rules and institutions", etc. It should actually be considered as an announcement of what is already well underway, but is only now being unveiled for all to see. The new era of a single global government has truly arrived, and is being loudly and forcefully heralded across the globe.

In light of biblical prophecy, the importance of these declarations cannot be understated. These things would fulfill exactly the conditions described in the Word of God as those that will be found just prior to the long awaited return of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, which will be in part to bring judgment upon a rebellious mankind, who will have "summoned up the best instincts and efforts of humanity in a cooperative effort"; but will have left the living God "out of the loop" completely, and so are doomed to failure, and to discover that the best instincts and efforts of men can never accomplish anything true or good. Man....is a fallen creature, and is incapable of saving himself or another. No, man must himself be saved, and needs the Saviour. This is the whole story of the bible, and the very reason that God "gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." As to bible prophecy, it should be noted that it is the Antichrist who will make a "covenant with many" (Dan. 9:27)...and he will first set himself as the global 'king', but then later declare himself to actually be God (2 Thes. 2:2-4).

But, who believes bible prophecy anymore? Very few it seems, but that will not affect in any way the exact fulfilment of every single thing that is written. It is folly to ignore or disregard the Word of God. Most people though are too busy to be bothered. This is also a fulfillment of prophecy, for it is written that that day, or time, shall come upon the world as a snare (Luke 21:35). In other words the people of the world will be absolutely unaware.

Christian, that time has arrived and the evidence is overwhelming. You must face this reality now. Unbeliever, you too must face this reality; it's time to believe (Rom. 10:13).

When the actual official transition from 'nation states' to global 'regional governments' occurs, as will unquestionably happen (see serious warning; it's only a question of 'when'), it will very likely be rather 'messy' in the beginning. Special police, within the communities, to identify 'potential' terrorists....this is no longer the stuff of sci-fi novels, it is real life, today in 2008. It would be interesting to hear what the definition of a "terrorist" is, or a definition of who would be considered to be "at risk" of becoming one. Will they be shipped away into the re-education camps?

Isn't this just about the same thing as was just 'practiced' in Tennessee, Mississippi and Arkansas (see post above). The 'beast' is risen....and your community is on the list too, you can be sure of it.

Building the global system through "partnering"

As this article states, the food supply is being "globalized". A global food supply network must be standardized and closely monitored, and evidently the time has now come to microchip the food.

When you see private industry, e.g. Motorola, Lowry, and GlobeRanger, "partnering" with government agencies, as in this case we see that these "are partnering" with the State of Hawaii, you should know that you are seeing the one world government/management system being implemented. This system is designed to merge governments, private industry, and non-profit organizations, including religious, into a massive interwoven network. This is to create what is sometimes referred to as a "system of systems". It should be noted that these partnerships, as here for example, are all part of a much larger plan, which is truly a global effort, and has nothing whatsoever to do with borders and nations, or elected representative governments, as is supposed to be the case in the US. All these are being bypassed, and whoever heads the 'partnership' is then the one in control of the different entities/agencies.

This system being built has everything to do with the transitioning of the separate nations of the world into a centrally managed global system aka Agenda 21. In essence, a giant corporation, and it will be tightly controlled. It should also be noted that the agenda is advancing rapidly in every sphere of society, but few are aware. see: globalism #1; realigning the nations

NEW YORK - Airports in New York and Los Angeles have become the latest equipped with body scanners that allow security screeners to peer beneath a passenger's clothing to detect concealed weapons.

Modest travelers may have concerns about the images.

The black and white, three-dimensional scans aren't as vivid as a photograph, but they do reveal some of the more intimate curves of the human form, maybe with as much clarity as an impressionist sculpture by Auguste Rodin.

TSA officials say the system comes with privacy protections. Officers reviewing the images don't interact with passengers, or even see them. They sit in a separate area, look at the pictures on a monitor and push a button to either clear travelers or alert security about a suspicious item.

For now, the scans will also be voluntary. Flyers selected for a secondary screening after passing through the metal detectors will have the option of stepping into the wave scanner, rather than undergoing a physical pat-down.

"The TSA said the scanners, which cost as much as $120,000 apiece, are already in limited use at international airports in seven countries and at a handful of courthouses and jails in five states."

This Christian age is a mixed age and will be so to the end and the Coming One will find the faithful and prudent servant and the evil servant; the wise virgins and the foolish; the faithful servants using their talents and the wicked and slothful servant. The Coming One will mete out the judgment. The faithful servant is called "Blessed," the evil servant is cut in two and cast out. The wise virgins go in with the bridegroom and the foolish face a shut door. The servants who used the talents are set over many things and the slothful servant is cast out into the outer darkness. That the Lord will first descend into the air (i Thess. iv:15-18) and that the true believers, resurrected saints and living saints will be caught up in clouds to meet the Lord in the air to appear then before the judgment seat of Christ; that the unsaved, nominal Christians will go into apostasy and after the great tribulation receive judgment when the Lord comes out of heaven and all His saints with Him —all this is not revealed in these parables."

SACRAMENTO – Assembly Bill 2943 (Lieber) was approved today by the Assembly Committee on Public Safety. If approved by the Legislature and signed by the governor, the bill would make the ordinary practice of spanking a child by a parent a criminal act. This legislation, veiled as a prohibition of corporal punishment and child abuse, makes no distinction between an acceptable form of parental discipline – a spanking – and the violent act of “brandishing a deadly weapon upon a child.”

While careful not to include the word “spanking,” AB 2943 would make no distinction between a commonly used, appropriate form of discipline – a spank – and other more violent, inappropriate acts toward children. If a person is convicted of violating this law, the children could be removed from the home and the parent could spend time in jail.
