[10-23-24] The U.S., Canada and Mexico launched a joint pandemic preparedness initiative they said will unite the countries’ public health agencies around a “One Health” approach to addressing future pandemics.*

A critic of the new initiative warned the plan may empower the World Health Organization (WHO) — the architect of the original One Health Initiative — to impose global control measures like vaccine passports and new policies targeting the “infodemic.”

“Because this is an initiative from the WHO, I am deeply concerned,” said Nicholas Hulscher, an epidemiologist and fellow at the McCullough Foundation. “They appear to be seeking domain over plants, animals, and humans — globalized, central control over public health policies in all participating countries.”

Public Health Canada says One Health “considers the relationships between the health of humans, animals, and the environment” — suggesting [the fake narrative - ed.] future pandemics or public health threats may cross from animals to humans.

A slew of insurers - including Allstate, Farmers Direct and State Farm in a previous move - have limited cover or stopped doing business entirely in the Golden State. They blame the intensifying risk of climate disasters.

State Farm disclosed it wants to raise prices by 30 percent for homeowners, 36 percent for condo owners, and 52 percent for renters. - 'This has the potential to affect millions of California consumers and the integrity of our residential property insurance market,' insurance commissioner Ricardo Lara said.

The California Department of Insurance had already approved two State Farm requests that saw citizens home insurance rise drastically, including a 6.9 percent hike at the start of last year and a 20 percent rise that began this past March.

'State Farm General’s latest rate filings raise serious questions about its financial condition,' he said of the number one insurance firm in the US. He added how a rate hearing may even necessary.. US state sued over Ten Commandments law

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and other activist groups have joined with nine Louisiana families to sue the state over a new law that requires publicly funded schools to post copies of the Ten Commandments in classrooms. The case was filed on Monday [6-24-24] in the US District Court in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Governor Jeff Landry signed the legislation into law last week, making Louisiana the first US state to require all public schools to display the Ten Commandments. Specifically, the law dictates that a Protestant translation of the Bible verses be used. It applies to all primary and secondary schools, as well as universities, that receive state funding.

The legislation refers to the Ten Commandments as “foundational documents” of Louisiana’s state and national governments. “I look forward to implementing the law and defending Louisiana’s sovereign interest to select classroom content fundamental to America’s foundation,” Louisiana Superintendent of Education Cade Brumley said in a statement to WWL-TV, the CBS News affiliate in New Orleans.

Florida Condo Owners Dump Units Over Six-Figure Special Assessments

After the collapse of a Surfside Building on June 24, 2021.. the state passed a structural safety law that is now biting owners .. Not only are insurance rates soaring, but owners are hit with huge special assessments topping $100,000.

Under the new law, buildings must pass milestone structural inspections no later than 30 years after they are built. In Miami, about 38% of the housing stock is condos.. Of those buildings, nearly three-quarters are at least 30 years old. For those that have large repairs looming, many owners are scrambling to sell before Jan. 1 when building reserves must be fully funded to be in compliance with the law .. Owners are struggling to find all-cash buyers because mortgage lenders are increasingly unwilling to take on the risk associated with these units. “It’s not the buyers that aren’t qualifying,” said Craig Studnicky, chief executive at ISG World. “It’s the buildings that aren’t qualifying.”

Those who cannot sell and don’t have the special assessment, will be evicted and their units seized for whatever the Associations can get for them. “I think this is just the beginning,” said Greg Main-Baillie, an executive managing director at real-estate firm Colliers..

Some are worried developers may already be purchasing condos in the building for a potential takeover, where a developer tries to gain control of a building to knock it down and build a newer, more luxurious one. These condo terminations are happening up and down the state’s coastline. While the rules can vary by building, if enough people vote to sell their units, the others have to follow along.

Amidst the storms and tempests of the world, there is a perfect calm in the breasts of those, who not only do the will of God [Matt. 7:21], but "love" to do it. They are at peace with God, by the blood of reconciliation; at peace with themselves, by the answer of a good conscience [1 Pet. 3:21], and the subjection of those desires which war against the soul; at peace with all men, by the spirit of charity; and the whole creation is so at peace with them that all things work together for their good [Rom. 8:28]. No external troubles can rob them of this "great peace," no "offences" or stumbling blocks, which are thrown in their way by persecution, or temptation, by the malice of enemies, or by the apostasy of friends, by anything which they see, hear of, or feel, can detain, or divert them from their course [Rom. 8:38-39].
