Calvary Chapel Apostasy Going From Bad To Worse: Chuck Smith Joins Rick Warren And Laurie At Crusade

Urgent call to Calvary Chapel-ers to 'come out'

follow up on: Greg Laurie, Calvary Chapel Going Deeper Into Apostasy 8-11-09 (see post)
Harvest Crusades Reaches 4 Million on Historic Night

"You know, people have asked me what has been the highlight of the Harvest Crusades for me over the last 20 years," Laurie said as he addressed an enthusiastic crowd. "I've recounted some experiences ... but I have to amend that. I would say tonight is the highlight for me ... because tonight we just broke our record.
"We have reached in person ... 4 million people."
"This is just a preview of things to come," the well-known evangelist, dressed in his signature black button-up shirt, said.
Joining Laurie on stage on the special night were his family and Pastors Chuck Smith of Calvary Chapel and Rick Warren of Saddleback Church.
"I don't know why you think you came here tonight, but you're not here by accident," Warren, bestselling author of The Purpose Driven Life, said in a familiar statement. "A thousand years before you were born, God knew you would be here tonight."
Chuck Smith, Greg Laurie, And Rick Warren Draw A Line

While reserving comment in regard to the value of or the claimed success of Greg Laurie's 20 years of Harvest Crusades, what cannot be overlooked is Calvary Chapel's now open endorsement of, and affiliation with, Rick Warren's heretical Purpose Driven movement. The appearance of Chuck Smith on stage alongside Laurie and Warren at this past weekend's (8/14-16/09) crusade cannot be construed in any other way.
Note especially Laurie's comment that - "This is just a preview of things to come". No doubt this is true, as any who understand the real agenda behind Warren's purpose-driven movement know that it is designed to network and control Christian churches worldwide (here).
Purpose-driven is not a true Christian movement by any stretch of the imagination. It is simply a globalist tool to synthesize Christianity with the world's religions (here) so as to squeeze it into the global management system of the coming one world government of Antichrist.
Research here:
This is a sobering and crucial moment Calvary-ites. You no longer have an option. You must no longer allow yourselves to be led or influenced by ANY so-called church leaders that are unable to discern these things.
No excuses will suffice, the Purpose-Driven global interfaith line has been drawn. You must separate from the apostate Calvary Chapel organization or be absorbed with it. Rev. 18:4

Definitely sad...

I think a lot of people are in shock with this. Interestingly enough Smith has since defended both himself and Warren on his live call-in radio show. Turns out that he had also introduced Warren at the crusade as "my good friend" and then turned the microphone over to him for the opening prayer.

This scripture comes to mind:

2 John 11 'For he that biddeth him Godspeed is partaker of his evil deeds.'

Time to get up on outta there people, that ye be not also a partaker...

I'm going to warn my other church members about this, and then tell them I am leaving. I've had it with false teachers. I am an ex-Catholic and am going to apply to THEM what I biblically applied to the false teachers of Rome. Rick Warren preaches a false gospel of globalism and false "unity". I have been noticing some disturbing developments in CCs, read the lyrics in the songs carefully some time.

To Anon,

Micah 2:10 'Arise ye, and depart; for this is not your rest: because it is polluted, it shall destroy you, even with a sore destruction.'

Glad to hear that but unfortunately the RW-Laurie-Smith association is not the only problem with CC these days. For just one example of the growing apostasy you may want to read this recent [8-14-11] article from lighthouse trails:

Gal. 5:9 "A little leaven leaventh the whole lump"

This from someone who spent many years in CC's running ministries and teaching bible sudies.
