A mini-study on the Apocalypse, or, the Revelation: (Greek: apokalupsis [ap-ok-al'-oop-sis]: disclosure:--appearing, coming, lighten, manifestation, be revealed, revelation. (Strong's)

In the first verse of the Book of Revelation we see an angel sent to notify the apostle John that he is the chosen vessel to be given the message of the Revelation of Jesus Christ. That revelation, he would learn later, was to consist of "the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter" (v. 19):

The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to show unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John (Rev. 1:1):

The apostle John then relates the circumstances of the day that he was commissioned by the Lord Jesus Christ himself to write in a book those things that would be "revealed". He was to write in a book the things that would be shown him. In the tenth and eleventh verses of the first chapter we read his account of what happened that day:

10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,
11 Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book

WHAT EXACTLY DID JOHN SEE, AND WRITE IN A BOOK? HE SAW A SERIES OF VISIONS, AND HE WROTE THEM, AS INSTRUCTED, IN THE BOOK WHICH WE NOW KNOW AS THE BOOK OF THE REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST. HERE IS HIS TESTIMONY:

(1) I saw seven golden candlesticks...and one like unto the Son of man 1:12, 13.
(2) I [saw] looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven. 4:1.
(3) I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment. 4:4.
(4) I saw in the right hand of Him that sat on the throne a book, written within and without. 5:1.
(5) I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice. 5:2.
(6) And I [saw] beheld, in the midst of the throne...stood a Lamb as it had been slain 5:6.

(23) I...saw a beast rise up out of the sea. 13:1.
(24) I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death. 13:3.

(26) And I [saw] looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Zion. 14:1.

(38) I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit. 20:1.
(39) I saw thrones and they sat upon them. 20:4.
(40) I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it. 20:11.
(41) I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God, and the books were opened 20:12.
(42) I saw a new heaven and a new earth. 21:1.
(43) I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven 21:2.

What John did not see:
In 21:2 John saw the holy city coming down out of heaven. In 21:10, an angel comes to show him the city, the new Jerusalem, and it is then that the one mention of what John did not see is recorded: In 21:22 John writes: And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.

Gas Shortage in the Nashville Area - Testing in Progress: It's not just Nashville. In Murfreesboro, Smithville, Franklin and other outlying towns it's the same. The news is reporting that no gas at all can be found in Franklin.

A real shortage or contrived with Tennessee as a test case to see how the masses will react in the event of shutdowns? So far no riots.

At stations where gas was available, lines stretched out to the streets. In some cases, police had to step in to clear out traffic problems caused by those long lines.

Difficult homecoming looms for Ike evacuees: One week after Hurricane Ike wiped out whole neighborhoods and nearly every basic service in Galveston, there is a plan to start letting some 45,000 evacuees back to their hobbled hometown.

Now they've been given a new warning: Going home won't be easy.

No power, limited sewer services and spotty water utilities are among the trials that city officials say could await residents when a gradual reopening of Galveston begins next week.

Residents of the harder-hit Boliviar Peninsula will also start seeing their homes next week, albeit for only a quick peek. And because the main road is impassible in many spots, residents will be loaded into dump trucks and other heavy vehicles for their tour.

Galveston County Judge Jim Yarbrough, the county's highest elected official, said 60 state troopers were patrolling the heavily damaged peninsula.

FDA Green Lights Genetically Engineered Animals For 'Human Chow'

"The Food and Drug Administration is expected on Thursday to announce proposals for regulating the meat and milk from genetically engineered animals."

"The guidelines could pave the way for commercialization of creatures like fast-growing salmon, environmentally friendlier pigs, cattle resistant to mad cow disease, and animals with meat containing healthier nutrients."

Such animals have been or are being developed by academic scientists and biotechnology companies. But the lack of a clear regulatory pathway for introducing them into the market has been one factor discouraging investment into the field.

Genetically engineered animals have extra genes put into them, usually from other species. They are different from cloned animals, which are genetic copies, with no added genes.

The first animal to go through these regulatory steps would probably be an Atlantic salmon developed by Aqua Bounty Technologies of Waltham, Mass. It contains DNA from another type of salmon and from pout, another ocean fish, that allows the salmon to grow to market weight in 18 months instead of 30.

The products in this case are the ones that are going to reach grocery store shelves as meat, poultry and seafood.

re: 'DNA from another type'

Creating a 'global food production system' is the goal. 'Human chow' for the global serfdom. The godless self-serving would-be overlords of the human populations of the earth have envisioned, they believe, a way to create an efficient high-yield lowest-cost food manufacturing system by genetically 'improving' upon the natural order. And it's a 'go'. The green light has now been granted for the manufacture of the unlabeled 'human chow', and it looks to be ending up on dinner tables across the globe soon.

Crossing the genetic boundaries between different species is a very serious violation of God's created order, truly beyond words to express. The Word of God in the book of Genesis records God's own assessment of all that he made...His creation...everything after it's kind (Gen. 1:11-25). At the end of the sixth day, when all the work had been completed, we read..."God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good". (Gen. 1:31)

The foolishness of these men, who have already "crossed the lines" here, not to mention their ongoing violation of the animal/human genetic boundaries (see: Congress and *chimeras), knows no boundaries. It is surely a sign of the lateness of the hour in which we live. Isaiah the prophet may have been referring to this very thing when he spoke of the conditions that would prevail upon the earth just prior to the "day of the LORD". That is the coming day when God will deal with those who defile the earth, and transgress the laws, and change the ordinance. Altering His "very good" creation certainly falls into each of those categories.

update on: Hurricane Questions - No Answers

Follow up story, seems that some residents have more questions as to the missing but "officials" are still not answering, and don't want people looking around. Rumors or no rumors as the article mentions, according to the video below, looks like martial law already has or will be be declared in the area to force the remaining residents out...and shut the entire peninsula off to all. Have to see. Open government? No more. Police state/martial law is being incrementally phased in...everywhere. fyi

Bolivar's missing may never be found
Searches continue, no bodies found

GALVESTON, Texas -- Search teams finished a second sweep of Bolivar Peninsula on Thursday and did not find any bodies, the Galveston County judge said. However, as the search of the devastated peninsula transitions from rescue to recovery, Judge Jim Yarbrough cautioned that those missing from Bolivar might never be seen again.

“There's no question we are going to have some missing people (that) we are never going to find,” Yarbrough said Thursday night.

Thus far, no bodies have been found, but the county judge knows that is not likely going to be the case as the search expands.

“We are going to find bodies over there. No doubt,” Yarbrough said in a muted tone.

The judge also put to rest rumors that the county had shut off the peninsula to open a temporary morgue and cover up mass finds of bodies. He said that in five days of searching no bodies had been found and that no morgue operation was present on the peninsula or at Galveston's UTMB, as had been rumored.

Five months ago there was a lot of talk between London and Washington about (quotes below) "developing plans..to regulate the banking system", "urgent reform of global financial institutions", "global rather than national supervision of financial markets", "new international institutions", "reframing the international architecture", putting forth an "historic effort", etc. U.K. Prime Minister Gordon Brown figured prominently in those discussions:

According to today's posted article, and very interesting to note, this sudden and dramatic "combined bank" deal between the Bank of Scotland and Lloyds to create a "lending and savings giant"...."can be traced" to Brown also. Quoting from the 4-5-08 posted article, Brown said, in regard to the "urgent reform of [the] global financial institutions": "My feeling is that we are now reaching a stage where it (an agreement) could happen".

Indeed it is happening, today here now. Ordo ab chao. What we are seeing is exactly what Gordon Brown (and Bush) had described. The "historic effort" is underway and in this case the international economic architecture is being reframed throughout the world as we watch. Virtually overnight. A single monetary system for the 'global kingdom' is now beginning to be structured.

To gain full control, giants, so to speak, are being created by consolidating the largest financial institutions in the world. The Bank of Scotland/Lloyds merger and the U.S. government takeover of Fannie, Freddie, and AIG, which has created a brand new mortgage/insurance giant are just two examples (BoA/Merrill is another). More are coming. These giants intend to rule the earth...and own it.

Hurricane Questions - No Answers

What happened in Galveston? This question is raised by the author of the first article. The only information that could be found is posted in the second article...which basically answers that question...with a question. In other words, nobody's talking:

Here’s a question for you. Given the many people who refused to leave Galveston, Texas, how many died as the result of Hurricane Ike?

If you cannot find any reports than you are not alone. There is a virtual news blackout regarding casualties and deaths from the devastation the hurricane inflicted on Galveston.

The official death toll, according to an Associated Press, September 17, report was 49 “with most of the deaths coming outside of Texas.” The same report cited nine deaths in the Houston-area, but there was no word from Galveston, a place that currently resembles the surface of the Moon.

One would think that either a Texas state agency or FEMA would make some kind of announcement, but so far the silence is beyond any explanation. One finds nothing on their websites.

After 1st BCT finishes its dwell-time mission, expectations are that another, as yet unnamed, active-duty brigade will take over and that the mission will be a permanent one.

Top U.S. Religious Leaders Press for Moral Hurricane Response

More than 100 Christian, Jewish, and Muslim leaders signed onto a statement Monday to call on the U.S. government to work across party lines to create a human rights-based recovery policy for Gulf Coast families affected by hurricanes.

The statement urges solutions that are resident-led including ones that help families return and participate in rebuilding their communities, create living wage jobs, restore the coastal wetland and ensure that human rights along the Gulf Coast is a national moral priority.

“The government must empower local communities to take the lead in rebuilding their neighborhoods, renewing their lives, and restoring God’s creation,” they say. “We believe it is a moral obligation for the federal government to fulfill its promises for Gulf Coast recovery: empowering residents to return and participate in equitably rebuilding their communities.”

Faith leaders that signed the statement included the Rev. Dr. Michael Kinnamon, general secretary of the National Council of Churches; the Rev. re: empowering local communities to take the lead

An inter-religious New York Leadership Center is mentioned in the first article, and the second article tells of a new disaster-recovery plan signed by more than 100 "faith leaders" being rolled out in the wake of last week's devastating hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico. These are two extremely significant developments toward the advancement of the regionally managed-community based global government system known as Agenda 21. This transition is coming in under the radar though because so few understand how this system works.

Very briefly (and over simplified really), the global/regional government system is being built by creating 'partnerships' between countries, state and local governments, law enforcement agencies, industry, community groups, faith groups, etc.. As these various partnerships are being formed, a global system of 'regional' managements is being put in place, each with the responsibility to oversee individual communities within their region. Each individual community within a particular region is to basically be a microcosm of the whole, designed to be a self governed, self-contained entity, i.e. a sustainable community. This would be the lowest level of the global governance model. Community based management. Each individual community will have it's own 'leaders' in this system, responsible to keep things running smoothly. Something like the department heads of a large corporation. In essence, the entire earth is to be managed like a single large corporation. The credit for the design of this global-management-plan goes primarily to the now deceased world renowned business management guru Peter Drucker. You'll notice that Drucker's name is mentioned in the first article.

Both articles posted above show the significant progress being made toward the development of Peter Drucker's community-based global management system. Partnering, putting leaders in place, "empowering communities to take the lead"...i.e. governing themselves essentially, and also the merging of religions for the 'common good'.

The various religious groups must be merged into cohesive groups to work together for the common good of all within these communities, according to Drucker's theory. They will be expected to provide a network of social workers to meet the needs of the people within the worldwide system. Rick Warren's Purpose-Driven program was created to fulfill this function. They now have a "Leadership Center" in new York. The Gulf Coast plan in response to the sudden tragedy, amazingly looks very much like the beginning of an actual large scale implementation of the community-based management system. Take note.

Merging religions? Putting aside differences and joining hands to build a better world, they will say. Here's the forming of the one world religion.The word of God shows a one world religion giving worship to the Antichrist in the days when the one world government comes together.

With the "financial storm of the century" hitting financial institutions, many Americans are worried about the safety of their bank deposits. While the FDIC insures individual accounts up to $100,000, the reaction to IndyMac's failure this summer -- lines outside retail branches -- shows Americans have limited faith in the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp., which guarantees individual accounts up to $100,000.

But Americans are justified to be worried, says Nouriel Roubini, of NYU's Stern School and RGE Monitor, who notes there is already a "slow-motion run on retail banks" occurring nationwide.

That "run" could accelerate as people realize the FDIC fund has about $50 billion to "insure" about $1 trillion in assets at the nation's financial institutions, says Roubini. "They're going to run out of money" unless Congress acts soon to recapitalize the FDIC.

Regional world government at work

UNASUR, the South American Union, formed only little more than 3 months ago (5-24-08) will convene an emergency session today (9-15-08) to handle a local case of "political violence" in one of it's member states, Bolivia, according to this article. What is noteworthy about this is that this 'chaos' in Bolivia has created an amazing opportunity for the rest of the world to see a demonstration of the regional governance system at work. Three or four months ago this would not have been possible. But there is a 'new order' now. The South American countries making up the 'new order' of UNASUR have expressed "full and unconditional support" to act as a single entity to deal with the problem, which they have labeled as "terrorist actions". A local problem has now become a 'regional' issue.

New Foundation Wants To Label Websites

The internet needs a way to help people separate rumour from real science, says the creator of the World Wide Web.

Sir Tim spoke prior to the unveiling of a Foundation he has co-created that aims to make the web truly worldwide.

It will also look at ways to help people decide if sites are trustworthy and reliable sources of information.

Sir Tim told BBC News that there needed to be new systems that would give websites a label for trustworthiness once they had been proved reliable sources.

"On the web the thinking of cults can spread very rapidly and suddenly a cult which was 12 people who had some deep personal issues suddenly find a formula which is very believable," he said. "A sort of conspiracy theory of sorts and which you can imagine spreading to thousands of people and being deeply damaging."

Sir Tim and colleagues at the World Wide Web consortium had looked at simple ways of branding websites - but concluded that a whole variety of different mechanisms was needed.

Those were the words of Ray Boltz in an interview with the Washington Blade about his decision to engage in homosexuality. Boltz, a father of four who was married for 33 years before officially divorcing his wife this year, is well-known for his widely acclaimed songs "Thank You" and "I Pledge Allegiance to the Lamb."

When asked about Boltz's homosexuality, The Gospel Music Association -- the group which gives out the Dove Awards -- told the Blade, "We do not comment on the lifestyle choices of people in our community."

Homosexual Agenda and the Christian Church

The absolute corruption of the outward professing Christian church is just about total. Churches across the land have been infiltrated with every type of false doctrine as well as this non-stop push to force acceptance of the homosexual agenda. This issue is now changing the entire religious and political landscape. If your church 'leaders' cave in to the pressure and begin to 'support' the agenda, even in very subtle ways in the beginning perhaps, then the question will also be forced upon you. An example of this can be seen with the position adopted by the "Gospel Music Association" who have stated that they "will not comment on the lifestyle choices of people in our community". That 'no position' strategy forces every person to either reject the perverseness themselves or to compromise and be swept away with the deluge of apostasy.

This well-timed 'news' of Boltz's so-called admission is part of the carefully crafted homosexual agenda, complete with the tacit endorsement of the GMA. It is designed to subtly sway many people into also taking 'no position'. As soon as that happens, the battle is over.

Take a position: politically correct, or God's truth, honor, and holiness?
