Clean Water Restoration Act” (CWRA) of 2007.

To the editor:
The latest federal menace to private property rights comes as the “Clean Water Restoration Act” (CWRA) of 2007.This bill, sponsored by Sen. Russell Feingold, D-Wis., and Rep. James Oberstar, D-Minn., would “restore” federal powers of the Clean Water Act, previous to two U.S. Supreme Court decisions. The decisions in 2001 and 2006 limited the definition of “navigable waters” and the corresponding scope of federal jurisdiction to exclude isolated non-navigable waters.In actuality, the CWRA would expand federal jurisdiction far beyond the scope of the original Clean Water Act by striking “Navigable waterways of the United States” and replacing it with “Waters of the United States.”

This phrase is then further defined as “all waters subject to the ebb and flow of the tide, the territorial seas and all interstate and intrastate waters and their tributaries, including lakes, rivers, streams (including intermittent streams), mudflats, sandflats, wetlands, sloughs, prairie potholes, wet meadows, playa lakes, natural ponds and all impoundments of the foregoing to the fullest extent that these waters or activities affecting these waters are subject to the legislative power of Congress under the Constitution.”

The CWRA is recognized by concerned interest groups as the biggest federal power grab in our nation's history.

The bill's reference to “activities affecting these waters” could enable federal agencies to assume authorities over not just water but land and air as well. On January 28th, Lighthouse Trails reported that ACSI (Association of Christian Schools) has begun to promote contemplative spirituality through their Spiritual Formation program, in which contemplative books are being recommended and offered to ACSI members. In addition, ACSI is telling attendees of the Early Education Conference on April 19, 2008 to read Henri Nouwen's book, In the Name of Jesus for preparation for the conference.1 (p. 3) Now, we are sorry to report that ACSI is recommending to its 5300 member schools Brian McLaren's A New Kind of Christian. McLaren, who has made many public statements that attempt to derail biblical Christianity, is part of the emerging church movement.

In addition to the McLaren recommendation, ACSI president Ken Smitherman speaks favorably of emerging leader and mysticism proponent Rob Bell's book, Velvet Elvis. Bell shows in that book his propensity toward the New Age by calling Ken Wilber's book, A Brief History of Everything , "mindblowing," telling readers to spend three months studying it. 2

This is a critically important development for anybody in anyway connected with the ACSI. This includes not only students and parents, but teachers, administrators, and churches that have ACSI accredited schools. That the ACSI system has been completely taken over by the "emerging church" could not be anymore clear than is seen here. The emerging church materials are being promoted to all member schools by no less than the president of the organization himself.

Unfortunately, it appears that the time has come to start looking for the door. Your schools have been betrayed into the hands of the enemy!

Get informed, learn what these men, e.g. McLaren, Bell, who are openly denying the very core tenants of Christianity, are spewing out into the ever-growing apostate/"emerging conversation" designed to deconstruct biblical Christianity and subjugate it into the global management system that is rising up on every side.

Are Christian colleges still "Christian" or have they all been infiltrated by the new "emerging" global spirituality, which has now already leavened all of 'Christendom'. The Secret, also a book/film, was highly promoted by Oprah and carries a similar-type message. In essence, both projects focus on humanity being divine and having the ability to alter our personal lives and ultimately alter the world in which we live through hidden mysteries that the projects supposedly reveal.

A 'hedzup'....the "great whore that sitteth upon many waters" (Rev. 17:1) is also hard at work alongside the global politicians to establish the "new order" and to dominate the populations of the earth for Satan. Here you can discern the outworking of the strategy: Get them 'drunk'! Once they've 'had a few', they'll go right along with the whole thing:

Rev. 17:2 With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.

The bible says they will be made drunk with "her wine". Her "wine" is the lying seduction that speaks of men as being divine. This is what is (drunken) driving this erratic deceptive movement they are referring to as an "awakening". You must be aware of these things, e.g. new book/movie, and warn others so that they will not also be "made drunk" by imbibing on these seductive heresies. These are very serious and dramatic developments because it is no longer the fringe but has become mainstream. Your friends, family, and kids, are all at risk.

A "global coalition" is exactly what the prophet Daniel was speaking of in the seventh chapter of the book of Daniel....the time when the fourth beast with the "great iron teeth" (Dan. 7:7) would subjugate the entire earth and break it into pieces (aka regions):

"Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces. (Dan. 7:23)

There will be ten 'pieces' eventually:

"And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them...." (Dan. 7:24a).

Another 'king' shall arise from among the ten, we are told:

"And he shall speak great words against the most High...." (Dan. 7:25a)

That eleventh 'king' can be none other than the one called "Antichrist". When the "global coalition" is formed, the regions will be decided and the final world ruler will then make his stage appearance.

Reality check people. America "the great" will also be devoured and become just part of one of the "regions". It is already happening and easily seen for those who can 'see'. These are unprecedented events. Christian, are you watching and praying as the Lord has commanded you? Mark 13:35-37

Consider this as a "midnight cry" if you will! Look around, survey the horizon, it's pitch black spiritually and politically. The bridegroom cometh! Every person who "names the name of Christ" will fall into one of these two classes: "wise" or "foolish", as designated by the Lord Jesus Christ himself. Where do you personally, Mr./Ms. Christian 2008, stand? Are you bound up with this world and it's pursuits, or are you separated from this world unto the heavenly calling (Heb. 3:1) and the person of Christ Jesus the Lord and Saviour? You may not have both, for it's not an earthly but a heavenly calling, an either/or proposition. What can be more important than to be certain as to whether or not I've got a 'vessel' and 'oil' for that vessel. Answer: nothing! (The foolish had neither)

Precious words! Would they were more thoroughly understood in this our day! It is of the utmost possible importance that the Lord's people should be rooted, grounded and settled in the grand truth of the plenary inspiration of holy scripture. It is to be feared that laxity as to this most weighty subject is spreading in the professing church to an appalling extent. In many quarters it has become fashionable to pour contempt upon the idea of plenary inspiration. It is looked upon as the veriest childishness and ignorance. It is regarded by many as a great proof of profound scholarship, breadth of mind, and original thinking to he able, by free criticism, to find out flaws in the precious volume of God. Men presume to sit in judgment upon the Bible as though it were a mere human composition. they undertake to pronounce upon what is, and what is not, worthy of God. In fact they do, virtually, sit in judgement upon God Himself. The present result is, as might be expected, utter darkness and confusion, both for those learned doctors themselves, and for all who are so foolish as to listen to them. And as for the future, who can conceive the eternal destiny of all those who shall have to answer before the judgement seat of Christ for the sin of blaspheming the word of God, and leading hundreds (of thousands? ed.) astray by their infidel teaching? As the delusion grows stronger, the 'forces at play' will be and are now turning up the pressure for compliance. If you will resist expect to be castigated, as seen in the above quote. But, as these resist the truth, so too stand strong and resist these "men of corrupt minds, and reprobate concerning the faith", and their malicious rhetoric. They shall not succeed. The Lord shall soon take up the controversy with them himself.

Shall the enemy blaspheme the name for ever? The sinner never leaves his sin till sin first leaves him: did not death put a stop to his sin, he would never cease from sin. Do you believe the Word of God?

Promises to the Overcomer

It may serve us to dwell briefly on the various promises to the overcomer in Rev. 2 and 3, as indicating the circumstances and the responsibilities of the Church in view of "that coming day".

1. Ephesus: "To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life in the midst of the paradise of God" (Rev. 2:7). This is a precious promise wherever there is overcoming in a day of coldness and apathy - may we not say in these very days in which we live. Christ is the Tree of Life, and there can be no higher reward than to partake of His fullness in the Home of God. And this is the prize awaiting all who have the fire of first love—a present heartfelt appreciation of His preciousness in this life.

2. Smyrna: "Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life" (Rev. 2:10). Here are words of cheer for any who endure hardness for His sake; who bear reproach, scorn, suffering, in the path of obedience. Here still in closing days is there opportunity to suffer for the truth and for Him who is the Truth. "Our light affliction which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory" (2 Cor. 4:17).

3. Pergamos: "To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it" (Rev. 2:17). What a promise to those who resist settling down at home where our Lord was rejected. Are we feeding now and here on the manna, God’s perfect provision for a wilderness path? For those who turn away from the dainties of earthly pleasure and worldly conformity there is a feast and a white stone in the Home prepared.

4. Thyatira: "He that overcometh and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations…and I will give him the morning star" (Rev. 2:26-28). In Thyatira we see the church established as a world power, and its place here instead of where the Lord is. As we look about us today, we can see the same spirit working. Corruption follows in spite of varied activities and faithfulness on the part of some. For the overcomer the Morning Star of hope sheds its holy light in the heart, and the coming of the Lord is nigh.

5. Sardis: "He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels" (Rev. 3:5). Sardis, with its boasted light has but a name to live. Cold, lifeless formality, and even doctrinal accuracy, cannot take the place of a living heart of affection and devotedness to Christ. How cheering to the overcomers is this promise. "With Thee in garments white, Lord Jesus, we shall walk; and spotless in that heavenly light, of all Thy sufferings talk".

6. Philadelphia: "Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out.....I will write upon him my new name" (Rev. 3:12). A true Philadelphian will not think lightly of any part of that Word, much less of that which has to do with the nature of the church, its government, ministry, and testimony. Are we sharers in His patience, not looking for great things here, but holding fast what He has given? What will it be to be a pillar in the temple of God!

7. Laodicea: "To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame and am set down with my Father in his throne" (Rev. 3:21). May the Lord make us true Philadelphians, and keep us from approaching the pride and self-satisfaction of poor, wretched, blind Laodicea. Difficulties may increase; nothing can stand the test but what is of God. Our whole resource must be Christ alone. May there be a true revival ere He come; not necessarily in numbers, but in soul, in true-hearted devotion to Him who gave us His all.

These blessed promises give the hints of the holy joys that await the overcomer in these evil days. May we ponder them, and live in the expectation of soon entering that bright home. Let us individually and unitedly pray for the Church which He has purchased with His own blood.
