About 75 students barricaded themselves in a dining hall at the New School on Wednesday night, holding what they called an occupation to protest the leadership of the institution’s embattled president, Bob Kerrey.
As word of the protest spread and the group grew larger, a list of demands was produced. Those included Mr. Kerrey’s removal as well as the ouster of James Murtha, the university’s executive vice president, and Robert Millard, the treasurer of the school’s board of trustees. The students said they wanted more of a voice in school matters and full disclosure of the school’s investments.

This is about starting a dialogue,” said Marcus Michelson, a student in a master’s program at the school. “And to do that you have to be seen as an equal. People just don’t give equality away, you have to take it.”

re: occupation to protest the leadership
The post today is a follow up on this post from yesterday 12-17-08, 'Civil Unrest' Buzz Growing; Arizona Police Ready which asked these questions:
Civil unrest in this country as a pretext to fast forward martial law? Are the agents provocateurs (instigators) already at work?
Whoop there it is. The second of the two questions above has been answered in less than twenty-four hours. The Bureau of Propaganda's 'Civil Unrest 101' training program for disconcerted homelanders is now officially underway as agents provocateurs in a New York school demonstrate through role playing as 'protesters" that the idea of 'revolution' is actually feasible. In this enacted scenario the students have barricaded themselves and are demanding the removal of an "embattled president", vice-president, and a treasurer. The protesters/students have adopted some 'revolutionary' slogans already. They want "more of a voice"..but since "people won't give equality"...."you have to take it".
"You have to take it?" Pure psychological propaganda.
Again, back in the real world, the NWO homeland-transition strategists may be attempting to foment some 'unrest' toward an "embattled president" with a no-certificate issue that may still develop into a "constitutional crisis". If this were the case, the first of the two questions above would then also be answered. The answer would be in the affirmative. Can you see through it? for more details see: SCOTUS Or Not, Obama Certificate Issue Still Growing
The Obama 'civil unrest law enforcement/military intervention and/or civilian militia intervention' buzz is getting louder and louder. Do not be deceived.
