The right eschewing of evil, involves a wary avoidance [1Thes. 5:22] of all occasions and beginnings of it. Flee from sin (says the wise man) as from a serpent. We are not to be tampering with it, and coming near it, and thinking to charm it- Eccles. 2:3; "For (as one says) who will not laugh at the charmer that is bitten by a serpent?" He that thinks he hath power and skill to handle it without danger, let him observe Solomon's advice concerning the strange woman: He says not only, Go not into her house, but, Remove thy way far from her, and come not near the door of her house. Prov. 5:8. So teaches he wisely for the avoiding of that other sin near to it, Look not on the wine when it is red in the cup, Prov. 23:31. They that are bold and adventurous, are often wounded: thus, He that removeth stones shall be hurt thereby - Eccles. 10:9. Robert Leighton [1611-1684] is most known for his widely regarded "Commentary on First Peter" from which this exhortation to believers is extracted. Repeal Of CA Transgender-Law Moves Forward Jan. 8; Transgender Group Predicts Repeal Effort Will Fail

Effort To Repeal New California Transgender Protections Law To Move Forward

A referendum initiative to repeal a new law protecting transgender students in California survived the first round of a statewide verification process, the California Secretary of State’s office confirmed to BuzzFeed Wednesday.

The law, Assembly Bill 1266, took effect Jan. 1 and ensures transgender public school students are able to participate in sports and other activities and use school facilities based on their gender identity. The bill passed in the state legislature last summer and was signed into law by Gov. Jerry Brown Aug. 13. It was the first state to approve such legislation.

In order for the repeal to appear on the ballot, the full count must find at least 504,760 valid signatures — and faces an uphill battle in that count. County officials have 30 days to count the signatures with results due Feb. 24

The [first step in the process] random sampling found that 482,582 signatures were projected to be valid, or 3,060 more signatures than were required to move to the full count (479,522).

Officials in the state’s 58 counties will now conduct a full review to verify each of the 619,244 signatures submitted

But opponents of the referendum say it moves forward with an “incredibly narrow” margin. And just last month, some predicted the referendum effort wouldn’t survive the random sampling process, let alone a full count.

“Given how close this is right now, we are confident this will stay off the ballot,” said Masen Davis, executive director of the Transgender Law Center, of the Wednesday results.

A "random sample" returned a "projected" number of valid signatures to be 482,582. That is enough to continue the signature validation process to the next step of a full count, which is where it stands now, but, if that were to be the final number it would not be enough to pass the measure. 619,000 signatures collected, 504,000 needed for validation.

First question that comes to mind is who is doing the 'validating'? California is only the first state. The agenda is global. The "Transgender Law Center" says that they do not expect the effort for the referendum to succeed. February 24th will tell the tale...

Britain may be threatened by a monster wave that is predicted to devastate the coasts of Florida and Brazil following a volcanic eruption in the Canary Islands, scientists said today. The mega-tsunami generated by part of a mountain twice the size of the Isle of Man falling into the sea would be the biggest ever recorded in history.

Travelling at speeds of up to 500mph, the tsunami would be an unstoppable force.

Its first target was expected to be the West Saharan coast of Morocco, where the wave would measure an awesome 330ft [33?] from crest to trough.

But the built up coastal areas of Florida, Brazil and the Caribbean were expected to suffer the greatest destruction, according to a new forecast by Dr Simon Day, of the Benfield Greig Hazard Research Centre at University College London...Here, the wave would reach heights of 130ft to 164ft - higher than Nelson's column - and travel four or five miles inland, flattening everything in its path.

Dr Day said: "The collapse will occur during some future eruption after days or weeks of precursory deformation and earthquakes.

"Eruptions of Cumbre Vieja occur at intervals of decades to a century or so and there may be a number of eruptions before its collapse. Although the year to year probability of a collapse is therefore low, the resulting tsunami would be a major disaster with indirect effects around the world.

"Cumbre Vieja needs to monitored closely for any signs of impending volcanic activity and for the deformation that would precede collapse."

California transgender student law could quickly face challenge

A first-of-its-kind California law on transgender students goes into effect Wednesday [1-1-14], but its authority could end in a week if state officials find that enough registered voters want to challenge it in November.

State officials are scheduled to report on Jan. 8 whether they have received enough valid signatures to put the law, AB 1266, up for a public vote. If they have enough, the law will be stayed.

A coalition called Privacy for All Students gathered some 620,000 signatures in 90 days. About 505,000 valid signatures are needed to put AB 1266 before voters in November.

AB 1266, enacted in August, is intended to permit transgender students to choose by themselves which bathrooms and locker rooms they will use, and which sports teams they will join.

This week, the California secretary of state’s office said AB 1266 will go into effect as planned on Jan. 1. If on Jan. 8, there aren’t enough valid signatures in the sampling to advance the referendum, AB 1266 will remain in effect. If enough signatures are found to be valid, AB 1266 will be immediately stayed while the referendum process continues.

Although the 'electronic pods' have been in use at Syracuse since 2009, no one had really heard much about this until recently. Turns out now that a TSA mandate for nationwide 'exit control' has already been 'decreed', set to begin January 1. While it is reported that airports are suing to block the new rule, this is not to oppose the police state measure but to address the issue of the airports being required to foot the bill to actually provide the 'police state' controls and personnel, rather than the federal government. This may delay implementation in some areas, if anything, but will not stop it. Big Brother always controls both sides. Problem reaction solution is the NWO cabal's modus operandi - in this case electronic 'exit portals' for all seems to be the planned 'solution' to the 'problem'. A new Transportation Security Administration directive that mandates airports provide security for terminal exits is likely to lead to the installation of more ‘detention pods’ which have the capability of subjecting travelers to biometric scans.

“Airports across the country have sued to block a new Transportation Security Administration directive that requires them, starting Jan. 1, to begin guarding exit security doors, as passengers leave flights and head for baggage claims,” reports the Associated Press.

The article notes that in order to comply with the regulation and save hundreds of thousands of dollars a year in staffing, airports may follow the example set by Atlantic City International, which has “installed five cylinder-shaped glass exit portals since 2009.” [see video below]

Scientists have found evidence that strong earthquakes in the Aleutian Islands could send an extreme tsunami to Oʻahu, crippling the island's main electrical power plant.

The study by the Hawaiʻi Institute of Geophysics and Planetology at the University of Hawaiʻi and the National Tropical Botanical Garden on Kauaʻi stemmed from the March 2011 earthquake and tsunami that devastated Japan and caused damage in Hawaiʻi.

According to Archaeobotanist David Burney, there's a spot in the Aleutian Islands that is capable of producing an extreme tsunami. He said the study theorizes the tsunami would send a four-story wave through Waikīkī as well as wash out the Kahe Power Plant in Leeward Oʻahu.

According to their statement, they "have found evidence" that this area in the Aleutian Islands has the potential of producing a "strong earthquake" that 'theoretically' could trigger a tsunami that would devastate the island of O'ahu in Hawaii, wiping out Waikiki and destroying the island's main power plant in the process. That is certainly a very interesting 'discovery'. No doubt theoretically that is one way an "extreme tsunami" could be generated, but it is not the only way. CA School 'Transgender Law' AB12-66 Begins January 1, 2014 - Teachers Being 'Trained'

California schools prepare for new transgender law



FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- When students return from winter break, a new state transgender law is scheduled go into effect and school leaders are training teachers on how to comply.

When classes resume across the Valley in January, a new state law is scheduled to kick in. AB12-66 signed into law by governor Jerry Brown gives transgender K through 12 students the choice of using whichever bathroom matches their gender identity. The new law also gives students the option of playing on either girls or boys teams.

Hanford school leaders are prepping all employees for the upcoming changes.

Opponents of AB12-66 have collected signatures for a ballot initiative to repeal the law. If they reach about 505,000 signatures statewide, a measure will go on the November 2014 ballot. The secretary of state is still in the process of counting those signatures.

The law is statewide. The opposition more than likely will have the numbers for an initiative to repeal, but any ballot measures are still a year away. And as experience has shown, a measure successful at the ballot box is no guarantee of anything these days. As it stands, compliance will be forced on all beginning next month. Teachers, parents, children, all will be forced to submit. Teachers will have to support and teach it, regardless of personal beliefs. Any child, solely by his or her own determination, can declare their "gender identity", and the entire social norm must now bow down and cater to them. The magazine goes on to say: “As pope, he has not yet said the Catholic Church supports civil unions. But what Francis does say about LGBT people has already caused reflection and consternation within his church.”

Yes, even though Francis hasn’t officially changed any church policies involving homosexuality, many would argue he’s done much at least to change its tone.

(Reuters - excerpted) Time magazine named Pope Francis its Person of the Year on Wednesday, crediting him with shifting the message of the Catholic Church while capturing the imagination of millions of people who had become disillusioned with the Vatican.

In September, Francis gave a groundbreaking and frank interview, in which he said the Vatican must shake off an obsession with teachings on abortion, contraception and homosexuality, and become more merciful.

And in July, Francis told reporters he was not in a position to judge homosexuals who are of good will and in search of God, marking a break from his predecessor, Benedict, who said homosexuality was an intrinsic disorder.

First things first: In the same vein as the things mentioned in the above article that have distinguished this 'New World Pope' from his predecessors, Bergoglio/Francis also made headlines recently when he stated his position that "ideological Christians" have an "illness":

“The faith becomes ideology and ideology frightens, ideology chases away the people, distances, distances the people and distances of the Church of the people,” Francis added. “But it is a serious illness, this of ideological Christians. [link]

Leaving aside for the moment the many doctrinal issues of the Catholic Church that actually conflict with scriptural Christianity [link - scroll down], what the "New World Pope" is saying is that those within the Catholic Church who will not get on board, and, essentially, relinquish the historic "obsessions" about "abortion, contraception and homosexuality"...in exchange for the one-world unity of 'brotherly love' of course...which he is terming as becoming "more merciful" ...have a "serious illness". Now about the cover photo, and TIME magazine has been noted to do it in the past, but it is undeniable that, with the way the photo is framed, "New World Pope Francis" clearly has a set of horns - and just to  note it, they match the white gown and skull-cap.

With regard to Bergoglio/Francis being portrayed here with 'horns', there is something very interesting which perhaps should be noted about that, having to do with the so-called "Last Pope Prophecy". Many are familiar with it, others may not have heard of it. It is discussed in the post linked directly below, and in greater detail in a 2-26-13 post based on the alleged "Last Pope Prophecy", titled: "NWO Imitating Antichrist And False Prophet?" [here]. This date was before Bergoglio was 'anointed' for the office. Briefly, the idea of the so-called 'prophecy' is that the incoming pope, whoever it would be, essentially would turn out to be the biblical 'False Prophet'. As discussed in that post, and the one below, that is an impossibility (the time is not yet), but, this does not rule out the possibility of the creation of an 'imitation' for the specific purpose of faking bible prophecy. At any rate, as for the biblical personage of the actual "false prophet" (the second "beast" of the Revelation*, the Antichrist being the first - Rev. 13:1), there is a most interesting description given of this being in the thirteenth chapter, eleventh verse of the Book of Revelation:

Microsoft retracts Windows 7 PC end-of-sales deadline
Says notice last week was 'in error;' falls back on 'TBD'

Computerworld - As quietly as Microsoft defined the dates it would stop selling Windows 7, over the weekend it revised its end-of-sales deadlines again, saying it had made a mistake.

Last week, Microsoft told customers that it would require computer makers to halt sales of new Windows 7-powered PCs at the end of October 2014. Now, its sales shut-off page shows "To be determined" instead of the future date.

"We have yet to determine the end of sales date for PCs with Windows 7 preinstalled," a Microsoft spokeswoman said in an email reply to questions Tuesday. "The October 30, 2014, date that posted to the Windows Lifecycle page globally last week was done so in error."

The halt date for retail sales -- Oct. 30, 2013 -- was legit, Microsoft said. "We are confirming that the retail software end of sales date for Windows 7 did happen on October 30, 2013," the spokeswoman said.

It's possible that Microsoft will still tell OEMs (original equipment manufacturers) to stop selling Windows 7 PCs in just under 11 months, but did not want to publicize the date now. Microsoft did not reply to a follow-up question asking whether the retreat from the Oct. 30, 2014, date meant customers could infer it would be later than that.

"We'll have more details to share about the Windows 7 lifecycle once they become available," the company said today.

Whether or not Microsoft will end the sale of pre-installed Windows 7 for the major computer manufacturers at the previously announced date is now officially "to be determined". Regardless of that, retail sales, as previously reported, have been stopped as of six weeks ago. One thing is definite though, and that is that the phase-out is absolutely certain. There is only one thing happening here, which is the global software-integration plan to 'connect' everything and everybody. This is going full speed ahead. Computerworld - Microsoft has quietly ended retail sales of Windows 7, according to a notice on its website. The company's policies for shutting off sales to retailers and shipping licenses to OEMS (original equipment manufacturers) are posted on its site, which was recently updated to show that Windows 7's "retail end of sales" date was Oct. 30.

The next deadline, marked as "End of sales for PCs with Windows preinstalled," will be Oct. 30, 2014, less than a year away.

A check of Microsoft's own online store showed that the company has pulled Windows 7 from those virtual shelves.

In practical terms, the end-of-retail-sales date has been an artificial and largely meaningless deadline, as online retailers have continued to sell packaged copies, sometimes for years, by restocking through distributors which squirreled away older editions. Today, for example, Amazon.com had a plentiful supply of various versions of Windows 7 available to ship, as did technology specialist Newegg.com.

A couple of things to note - the posted article mentions that in the past Microsoft's deadlines for the phase-out of 'old' operating systems have been "largely meaningless", as the software could still be purchased through various outlets beyond the stated date. That was then though, this is now. This time it most certainly will be different because the plan for Windows 8 is totally different than anything prior. Windows 8 [and beyond] is about "global software integration" and transitioning everybody and everything to the "cloud" - so they can be "connected". There is no intention of making this optional. Controlling all life on earth via "the cloud" is the plan, has been the plan from the beginning, as is now obvious, and Windows 8 [and 8.1 etc.] is the official 'big move'. While the author of the above article notes that Amazon and a few other retailers are still selling Windows 7 copies, watch and see how fast they will disappear. Prediction: they will vanish like a "cloud" on a hot summer day.

The "world is ready" say the would-be 'cloud-masters'.
