U.S. Declares Public Health Emergency in Wake of Swine Flu
Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said 25 percent of the stockpile for the swine flu anti-viral medication has been released as the U.S. declares a public health emergency.

WASHINGTON -- The United States has activated an emergency plan to combat swine flu as the Obama administration announced measures Sunday to contain the sometimes deadly virus.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has identified the strain of swine flu and is prepared to distribute a quarter of the U.S. stockpile of 50 million doses of anti-viral medications in places around the country where swine flu has been located or may be expected to spread

Besser said the United States is working with the World Health Organization, Canada and Mexico as well as other organizations to reduce the spread of the virus, which appears to have originated in Mexico and has resulted in up to 81 deaths there.

"We are increasing the monitoring and preparedness that we would need to have in place in order to deal with any sort of emergency, but it is of concern to the White House," Gibbs said on "Meet the Press."

Israel, New Zealand, Spain, France and Canada have reported suspected isolated cases after citizens from those countries returned home from Mexico.

Every person who names the name of Christ should have a solid grasp of the book of Hebrews and the wonderful truths revealed within...for "we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God..." A Little Outline of the Epistle to the Hebrews

The blessings of Jewish saints were earthly. The saints addressed in this epistle were once Jews, now Christians. The saints are regarded as the wilderness "companions" of Christ. He is bringing many sons to glory (2:10). But what had He when as a man He trod the earth? He said, "Foxes have holes, and the birds of the air nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay His head." (Luke 9:58)

All who have accepted His path as theirs are able to count on His sympathy as High Priest (3:1; 4:14; 7:26; 8:1). "He ever liveth to make intercession for them." (7:25)

Priesthood is only for our infirmities, not for our sins. The believer should not sin. "My little children, these things write I unto you that ye sin not." (1 John 2:1) But a saint cannot avoid the infirmities incident to a heavenly man walking the earth (12:1). To know how Christ carries you on, you must accept as your own His path as a Man (1 Peter 2:21), and to enjoy it you must be walking in it.

The Lord's intercession as Priest goes on for all the saints alike, because of their infirmities. We only know the value of it in our souls as we seek His path. He sought nothing on earth. "I receive not honour from man." (John 5:41)

The Hebrew Christians had declined from the truth of Christianity (5:12). They had once given up the attraction of earthly things, now they were again seeking them. "Ye took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, knowing that in heaven ye have a better and an enduring substance." (10:34) He says, "Call to remembrance the former days." (10:32)

The present blessing of saints is not earthly but heavenly (3:1). The substance is there. It is an enduring substance (10:34), while all here is a shadow, as the former dispensation also was. (10;1)

As Aaron entered into the holiest once a year (9:7), so Christ has gone in for us, regarding our infirmities while in the wilderness (9:12). The result is the consciousness (for all who take Christ's path on earth) of His sympathy and His support (4:15; 2:18), and not of weak hands and "feeble knees." (12:12) And as Melchizedek met the victorious man of faith with bread and wine (7:1; cf. Gen. 14:18), so Christ meets us by a supply of what is heavenly (7:19). This last is conditional (2:3; 5:9-10; 10:26-29), and depends on whether in faith as a saint I have overcome the world (Sodom) in its friendly character (11:15). (It made a great man of Lot. [Gen. 19:1])

What we get then in Hebrew 11 is the exploits of faith. If faith thus wrought in saints of the past, leading them to give up the present for the future (11:25-26), if it thus wrought in a people whose blessings were earthly, what should it effect in us whose blessings are heavenly, and therefore all of another order? They got God and the future instead of the present. Therefore "God was not ashamed to be called their God, for He hath prepared for them a city." (11:16) The saints are solemnly warned. Esau once sought present blessing and lost the future. (12:15-17.) We get Christ's present portion (as man) as we give up the present. "As He is so are we in this world." (1 John 4:17) The soul is led into it.

The effect is seen in these Hebrews, who sought to return to what they had once given up, as it will also be seen in us. They had returned to "infancy," "and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat" (5:13). They were not going on to perfection; that is, to the knowledge of those things connected with Christ in glory. (6:1-12.) The effect in them was, their hands were "hanging down," and they had "feeble knees." The effect on others (saints as they) was, that "the lame was turned out of the way." (12:13)

The Lord took the place of suffering here. "He was in all points tempted like as we are, apart from sin" (4:15). As having trodden that path, he takes His place with those who are now treading it to lead them and to sing: "In the midst of the church will I sing praise unto Thee" (2:12; cf. Ps. 22:22). It is the opposite of hands "hanging down" and of "feeble knees." But if you refuse the sufferings of a godly man here you cannot join in the singing. He sings in His own individual joy, and you join Him if you are of His path. He is out of it, and his companions are in faith out of it with Him (13:13).

The Lord trod the earth as a perfect Son (5:8), and also as a perfect servant. (Phil. 2:7-8) Both places in measure are ours. The Father deals with us as with children (12:6-8). As a servant the Lord's language was, "Lo, I come to do Thy will, O God," (Heb. 10:7; cf Ps. 40:7-8) and the epistle closes with the exhortation to us, NOT to seek our own will, but "make you perfect in every work to do His will." (Chap. 13: 21.)

We are going through the wilderness in this epistle supported in all our infirmities, but as Christ was here so we are here to do God's will in the scene, having from above daily heavenly sustainment as we refuse this world. The world is a step closer to a global currency, backed by a global central bank, running monetary policy for all humanity.

A single clause in Point 19 of the communiqué issued by the G20 leaders amounts to revolution in the global financial order.

"We have agreed to support a general SDR allocation which will inject $250bn (£170bn) into the world economy and increase global liquidity," it said. SDRs are Special Drawing Rights, a synthetic paper currency issued by the International Monetary Fund that has lain dormant for half a century.

In effect, the G20 leaders have activated the IMF's power to create money and begin global "quantitative easing". In doing so, they are putting a de facto world currency into play. It is outside the control of any sovereign body. Conspiracy theorists will love it.

There is now a world currency in waiting. In time, SDRs are likely evolve into a parking place for the foreign holdings of central banks, led by the People's Bank of China. Beijing's moves this week to offer $95bn in yuan currency swaps to developing economies show how fast China aims to break dollar dependence.

The creation of a Financial Stability Board looks like the first step towards a global financial regulator. The devil is in the details.

IN a shift, the Transportation Security Administration plans to replace the walk-through metal detectors at airport checkpoints with whole-body imaging machines — the kind that provide an image of the naked body.

Initially, the machines were supposed to be used only on passengers who set off the metal detectors, to provide them with an option to the customary secondary physical pat-downs and inspections by electronic wand.

The plan now is that all passengers will “go through the whole-body imager instead of the walk-through metal detector,” he said.

In interviews, agency officials stressed that the technology remained in a test phase. They said that they expected initial contracts to produce the machines to be awarded this summer and that passengers will start seeing the machines at some checkpoints soon afterward. They had no timetable for when the machines would be installed at most airports.

Most likely, initially, travelers will go to the airport as usual and with out any advance knowledge will be confronted with the new forced 'strip search' policy before boarding a plane. With no other option, people will submit and be stripped not only of their bodily covering but of their dignity. Before long they will become totally accepting of baring it all to be 'allowed' to fly.

It is not difficult to see the mind bending psychological effect created on a people forced to submit to such treatment. The issue is principle and the lengthening arm of government into commerce. How can corporate governance and the fiduciary responsibility of directors to shareholders be so easily usurped to satisfy the political exigencies of the day? Stunning is too mild a word to describe the precedent set here.

Public's input wanted on who'll be vaccinated first if outbreak strikes

State health officials want the public's views on deciding who should get vaccinated — and who should not — against the next flu pandemic that reaches the Islands.

So far, a wide-ranging advisory group of about a dozen community members representing religious groups, the chamber of commerce and even an expert in mediation have been working to set up a system that will help determine who will be inoculated first and who will have to face the pandemic unarmed, at least until more vaccine can be manufactured and shipped to Hawai'i.

To that end, the Health Department plans a public education campaign that will begin next month to explain the project and get community opinions.

Brown seeks ‘Global New Deal’ with Obama
Gordon Brown has vowed to forge a “global new deal” with Barack Obama when he meets the new US president for talks in Washington this week.

Mr Brown will become the first European leader to meet President Obama since he took office.

He is also set to address both houses of Congress during his visit.

In the Sunday Times, Mr Brown said the historic “partnership of purpose” between Britain and the US should be directed at fighting the economic downturn as well as terrorism, poverty and disease.

He said the impact of the new deal “can stretch from the villages of Africa to reforming the financial institutions of London and New York.

It would require all continents to make cash injections to boost economies, all countries to adopt green policies, universal banking reforms and changes to international bodies, he suggested.

After the Financial Crisis, Civil War? Get Ready to "Leave Your Region ..."

Will the economic and financial crisis degenerate into violent social explosions? Tomorrow, will there be civil war in Europe, the United States and Japan? That's the rather alarming conclusion that the experts of European think tank LEAP/Europe 2020 lay out in their latest bulletin dated mid-February.

In that edition, which addresses the issue of the crisis entering a phase of "global geopolitical dislocation" in the third quarter of 2009, the experts foresee a state of "generalized every man for himself" in the countries stricken by the crisis. That panic would then conclude in logical confrontations, in other words, with partial civil wars.

According to that association, made up of independent contributors from European political, economic and diverse professional circles, the most dangerous regions are those where the system of social protection is the weakest.

Thus, the crisis would be able to spark violent popular revolts, the intensity of which would be aggravated by the free circulation of firearms. Latin America, as well as the United States, are the areas most at risk.

This apocalyptic perspective could be ridiculed had not this think tank - as of February 2006 - predicted the onset and sequence of the present crisis with disturbing accuracy. So, three years ago, the association described the coming of a "global systemic crisis,"

One hope remains, a "last chance" according to LEAP, that would lie in the ability of the G-20 - which meets April 2 in London - to promulgate a "convincing and audacious" action plan. In that case, the world would still not be out of the woods, because - as the experts do not fail to also remind us - a severe climate crisis is also materializing.

The above article presents an amazing example of the type of alarmist hype that the upcoming World Economic Forum #2 scheduled for early April '09, is and will be using as their marketing strategy to force the next phase of the global economy transition upon the nations of the world.

"According to that association" - the European think tank LEAP/Europe 2020, the world is about to descend into utter chaos..unless...unless...the G20 can create a "convincing and audacious action plan" to save us all from such a horrible fate. Seeing right through this pathetic propaganda is very easy. What is painfully obvious about it is that the pre-planned global financial system is to be proffered as the "audacious" solution, and that it is the only hope to keep the world from plunging into incredible violence and "civil wars".

Four Volunteer-Service Bills Introduced in Congress

Responding to what he called “a moment for national service,” Sen. Chris Dodd, D-Conn., introduced four bills Tuesday that would increase federal spending for community volunteer initiatives.

The ambitious legislation would “create the architecture and the structure that will serve as the invitation for everyone to serve,” Dodd said. The bills would target everyone from schoolchildren to the elderly and aim to create new bases of volunteers beyond the usual young-adult pool of service-program participants.

Two bills, the Summer of Service Act and the Semester of Service Act, would allow middle school and high school students to earn credits or stipends for their community-service programs.

The Encore Service Act would provide stipends and education awards to Americans 50 and older in exchange for service in their communities.

The Action Act would raise the amount awarded to AmeriCorps volunteers to pay for college tuition from the current $4,725 to $6,585 to reflect the current average tuition at a four-year college.

”People ask me why I joined - I joined because the president asked,” Dodd said. “We've got a president who's asking.”

The nation-state model of government is being collapsed across the globe, greatly accelerated by the so-called global financial crisis, and the new model of global government which will replace the old will be a regional system, managed locally at the individual community level. This is the plan known as Agenda 21. It is also called communitarianism. Every community must be a self-managed entity and all members of the community must be involved in some way. This is exactly what these four bills for "National Service" are all about. This is true. The facilitators of the global agenda have been given their marching orders and the community-transition will be eventually forced.

Mexican Drug Cartel Roundup 'Accelerating' NAU Transition

'Operation Xcellerator' Launched in Canamerexico

Federal authorities arrested more than 750 people across the country in what they describe as "the largest and hardest hitting" operation to ever target the "the very violent and dangerously powerful" drug cartel known as Sinaloa.

The cartel is being blamed for much of the violence erupting along the U.S.-Mexican border, according to officials familiar with the operation.

"International drug-trafficking organizations pose a sustained, serious threat to the safety and security as of our communities," Attorney General Eric Holder said in prepared remarks at a Washington press conference Wednesday afternoon, his first as head of the Justice Department.

"As the world grows smaller and international criminals step up their efforts to operate inside our borders, [we] will confront them head-on to keep our communities safe."

Through "Operation Xcellerator," U.S. law enforcement officials worked with counterparts in Mexico and Canada, where the Sinaloa Cartel is believed to have "distribution cells," which sell or transport the cartel's drugs.

The DEA says efforts continue to "stop the ruthless violence the traffickers inflict on innocent citizens in the U.S., Mexico and Canada."

New Director of National Intelligence Dennis Blair recently warned a Senate committee that — at some point — the Mexican government may not be much help.
