True to their word, the present 'occupiers' of the White House are moving forward with their pledge to repeal DOMA. With their 'defense' removed, each of the individual 50 states would then be forced to legally recognize a faux-homosexual marriage from any other state, regardless of the laws of that particular state. As stated just above, the ramifications of this action go far beyond just the issue of the 'faux-marriages'. Dissolving the sovereignty of state governments is the ultimate goal, absolutely necessary, of course, for the deconstruction of the elective-representative American system of democracy which is now being systematically replaced by the communitarian model of world government, aka dictatorship. That's the bottom line, and the "landmark action" of repealing DOMA will go a long way toward achieving that end.

Colonial Bank looks set to become the sixth largest bank failure in corporate history after a federal judge ordered a freeze of its assets Friday.

The Montgomery, Alabama bank, has 355 branches throughout Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Nevada, and Texas, and has about $25 billion in assets.

Pentagon Seeking Authority To Militarize U.S.

Pentagon Wants Authority to Post Almost 400,000 Military Personnel in U.S. progressive.com

The Pentagon has approached Congress to grant the Secretary of Defense the authority to post almost 400,000 military personnel throughout the United States in times of emergency or a major disaster.

In June, the U.S. Northern Command distributed a “Congressional Fact Sheet” entitled “Legislative Proposal for Activation of Federal Reserve Forces for Disasters.” That proposal would amend current law, thereby “authorizing the Secretary of Defense to order any unit or member of the Army Reserve, Air Force Reserve, Navy Reserve, and the Marine Corps Reserve, to active duty for a major disaster or emergency.”

Taken together, these reserve units would amount to “more than 379,000 military personnel in thousands of communities across the United States,” explained Paul Stockton, Assistant Secretary of Defense for Homeland Defense and America’s Security Affairs, in a letter to the National Governors Association, dated July 20.

But NorthCom’s Congressional fact sheet refers not just to a “major disaster” but also to “emergencies.” And it says, “Those terms are defined in section 5122 of title 42, U.S. Code.”

That section gives the President the sole discretion to designate an event as an “emergency” or a “major disaster.” Both are “in the determination of the President” alone.

That section also defines “major disaster” by citing plenty of specifics: “hurricane, tornado, storm, high water, wind-driven water, tidal wave, tsunami, earthquake, volcanic eruption, landslide, mudslide, snowstorm, or drought,” as well as “fire, flood, or explosion.”

At the moment, says Pentagon spokesperson Belk, the legislation does not have a sponsor in the House or the Senate.

Massachusetts deputizes dentists, others to help with vaccinations boston.com

Massachusetts health authorities took the unprecedented step yesterday of deputizing dentists, paramedics, and pharmacists to help administer vaccines against both the seasonal flu and the novel swine strain expected to make a return visit in the fall.

In another emergency measure, regulators directed hospitals and clinics to provide vaccine to all their workers and some volunteers, a move designed to keep the medical workforce robust and prevent doctors and nurses from making their patients sick.

In Boston, the city health agency plans to offer shots during the day, night, and weekend. There is a chance that retired health workers will be pressed into service to provide vaccinations to adults and children, with many patients needing three visits for all their inoculations.

“It’s going to require all hands on deck,’’ said Dr. Alfred DeMaria, the top disease tracker at the state Department of Public Health. “We have to get everybody who’s a target for vaccine vaccinated, and we have to get enough people to give the vaccine.’’

It is estimated that 90 percent of Massachusetts adults and children fall into categories recommended to receive seasonal flu vaccine.

Besides the unprecedented step of government authorization of civilians to carry out the injections of the mystery brew for the mystery flu, it is very important to understand another crucial aspect of what is happening here. According to this article, under an "emergency measure", all hospital and clinic workers in Massachusetts as well as some volunteers will, it appears, be the first to receive 'mandatory' vaccinations. The crucial thing to understand is this: under an 'emergency' declaration everything changes (see: MSEHPA). Normal civil rights can be suspended, while so-called health authorities can be then empowered to dictate as they please. Note the statement by "top disease tracker" [pleeze] from the state Department of Public Health: "It's going to REQUIRE all hands on deck".

Forced vaccinations and quarantines? Ever heard of the Model State Emergency Health Powers Act (MSEHPA)? Seems that it was another of the 'by products' of 911, in this case a promotion of legislation that "dramatically suspends civil rights during declared state of biological emergency". According to the article posted below, as of 2006, 38 states had adopted provisions from or closely related to MSEHPA (see last paragraph). Taking into consideration the recent report (follow up link above) of the federal government's pending implementation of new federal quarantine regulations, MSEHPA becomes even more interesting. MSEHPA gives the power, if deemed necessary, to arrest, transport, quarantine, drug, and vaccinate anyone during a 'biological emergency'. That defiinitely includes any who may decide to 'refuse' vaccinaton or treatment "if/when" an emergency were to be declared (see Sec. 504; below). Is it possible that the pending new federal regulations would be any less powerful? Very unlikely. fyi

Within weeks after the tragic events of Sept. 11, 2001, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) began promoting health policy legislation that dramatically suspends civil rights during declared state of biological emergency. The text of the “Model State Emergency Health Powers Act (MSEHPA)” gives public health officials and governors of the several states the power to arrest, transport, quarantine, drug and vaccinate anyone suspected of carrying a potentially infectious disease.

While stating that their proposal considered the “civil rights of the individual,” the appeals process described in the text describes the nearly absolute powers of public health authorities to detain people against their will and force them to submit to whatever medical intervention deemed appropriate by authorities.

Under the “Mandatory Medical Examinations” section (502) of the law, persons refusing to submit to medical examinations and/or testing are liable for misdemeanors and forced isolation. If public health authorities suspect individuals may have been exposed to broadly defined infectious diseases, or otherwise pose a risk to public health, officials may issue detainment orders. In the case of an urban attack, or even one suspected, possibly thousands of people could be marshaled into isolation camps, according to the law. In this case, physicians, assisted by police, will be required to perform state medical examinations and tests.

Under the law, “infectious diseases” are very broadly defined. “An infectious disease may, or may not, be transmissible from person to person, animal to person, or insect to person,” the authors explain in the text.

Section 504 of the Act details vaccination and treatment protocols. Following these mandates, public health authorities may compel people to be inoculated and/or drugged with any medicaments selected by the state. Individuals refusing to be vaccinated or treated would be liable for a misdemeanor, subject to police arrest, isolation or quarantine.

“Section 807” repeals existing state laws that are in conflict with the Act. Under this part, for instance, previous laws granting medical, religious, or philosophical exemptions to vaccination would be repealed.

In the language of the global transformationalists, the three countries of Canada, America, and Mexico have simply become North America. The 'leaders' are no longer to be seen in regard to their respective country, but as 'leading together' over the entire continent.

Carefully crafting the language used is a very subtle way of changing perception without people being aware of it. Cass Sunstein, an American legal scholar and Harvard Law Professor, has been appointed by President Obama to head up the “White House Office Of Information And Regulatory Affairs.” His title is sufficiently broad and ambiguous, but he wields plenty of power. And with advance copies circulating of his new book “On Rumors: How Falsehoods Spread, Why We Believe Them, What Can Be Done,” Americans who still care about their rights to “freedom of speech” should be paying close attention.

You owe it to yourself to review what has been reported in both the New York Post and the Wall Street Journal about Mr. Sunstein, and the ideas that he advances in his book.

Perhaps most disturbing is Mr. Sunstein’s vision for the future of web content, as he argues for a so-called “notice and take down” law. Under this provision, those who operate websites - - The Washington Post, radio stations, private bloggers, and perhaps even you, yourself -we would all be required “take down falsehoods upon notice” from the U.S. government.

And not only would the original content of websites be scrutinized by the government for “falsehoods,” website operators would also be held responsible for the content of “posts” created by the website’s visitors and readers. At first blush it may seem that, for a web operator to be held accountable for content generated by “posters,” is completely untenable. But that may very well be Mr. Sunstein’s goal - - to create an “untenable situation” for website operators - given his assertion that “a ‘chilling effect’ on those who would spread destructive falsehoods can be an excellent idea..”

Only a day after a document purporting to be President Obama's birth certificate from Kenya was submitted to a court in California, the long-running dispute over his birth and eligibility to occupy the Oval Office has been entered into the Congressional Record – by a Democrat no less.

While the White House – several times – has ridiculed the controversy without providing the original long-form birth certificate that probably would answer many of the questions, Congress has diligently and studiously ignored the issue.

But now the Senate has plunged into the dispute, even if unwillingly, with a statement from Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, who formally elevated it to arguably the highest debate level in the land.

"Let's be clear. It's a phony issue and does not deserve even a minute of our attention on the floor of the United States Senate," Reid announced today, giving the issue just that minute. "It's absurd, irresponsible, baseless and the false claims of long ago have been refuted.

Glenn Thrush at Politico commented that Reid "may not have given them a full minute of attention of the Senate floor, but now the birther movement has a permanent spot in the official Congressional Record, thanks to Reid's speech."

"Reid's comments also represent the first time Obama's citizenship has been raised in the Senate – no leading Republicans have raised it on the chamber floor."

The release of the purported Kenyan birth certificate immediately prompted hundreds to challenge its validity. Many critics note the early 1964 document uses the term "Republic of Kenya," arguing Kenya became a republic later in 1964.

Taitz told WND today the "republic" issue is one of many she's asking several individuals to examine as they test the authenticity of the document.

Kenya's official independence was in 1963, and any number of labels could have been applied to government documents during that time period.

At Ameriborn Constitution News, the researcher noted Kenya's independence process actually began in 1957, when Africans were first directly elected to the Legislative Council.

"Kenya became an independent republic Dec. 12, 1963, which gives more [credibility] that this is a true document," the website stated.

A document analyst who previously judged the birth document Obama posted online to be a forgery said the purported Kenyan document is no more real than the first.

According to the commentator, who identifies himself by the pen name "Polarik," the Kenyan document is "another bogus birth document."

"I also found a number of anomalies that shout, 'Forgery,'" he wrote on Free Republic. "It's a government document saying the birth happened and that a birth certificate exists – or pretty much like Obama's bogus Hawaiian COLB."

Another question was raised about the Kenyan document number 47,044, suggesting that indicated it was a forgery because Obama was 47 when he became the 44th president.

Yet another questioned the font of the typing on the document, although Taitz told WND she'd been told it was appropriate for its age.

Still more questions were raised over the resolution of the photograph, claims the name of the village that Obama's father was born in was mispelled as "Kanyadhinng" instead of "Kanyadhiang."

China Seals Town, Quarantines Due To New 'Plague'

China seals off NW town as plague kills 3rd man

BEIJING — An outbreak of pneumonic plague in a remote farming town in northwestern China has killed a third person, the official Xinhua News Agency said Tuesday, as authorities locked down the town and moved to disinfect the region.

The local government has sealed off the town, and medical staff are disinfecting the region and tracking down those who have been in close contact with those affected, it said.

Authorities urged anyone who had visited the town of 10,000 people since mid-July and has developed a cough or fever to seek hospital treatment.

The World Health Organization office in China said that it was in close contact with Chinese health authorities and that measures taken so far to treat and quarantine sick people were appropriate. It did not comment on the move to seal off the town.

Another key aspect of the program will see parents deemed “responsible” by the government handed the power to denounce and report bad parents who allow their children to engage in bad behavior. Such families will then be targeted for “interventions”.

Both parents and children will also be forced to sign a “behavior contract” with the government known as Home School Agreements before the start of every year, in which the state will dictate obligations that it expects to be met.
