British savers denied cash as chaos hits Iceland bank

HUNDREDS of thousands of UK savers were yesterday blocked from withdrawing their cash from Icesave, the troubled Icelandic internet bank, amid warnings the parent group was likely to go into liquidation

Icesave's owner, Landsbanki, has been nationalised and put in receivership – and the UK Financial Services Authority (FSA) believes it will go bust.

Furious British customers were told they faced battling through two different compensation schemes to get their money back.

It sought to reassure domestic savers that their money was fully guaranteed by the government, adding that domestic branches, call centres, cash machines and internet operations would be "open for business as usual".

But the guarantee did not extend to UK savers. Customers logging on to Icesave's website were greeted with a message telling them the group was not processing any deposits or withdrawal requests on its internet accounts.

Justin Smith, an IT consultant from west London, said: "I feel confused and badly informed by Icesave – there has been no direct communication from the firm and now I am unable to withdraw my life savings, with no idea what happens from here."

The Icelandic government is supposed to step in and cover any shortfall, but with the country struggling to avoid economic collapse there are doubts as to whether the government would be able to guarantee deposits worth twice the country's GDP. On Monday night Geir Haarde, the prime minister, warned there was a threat of "national bankruptcy".

An Icesave spokeswoman said that, as a last resort, three other Scandinavian governments – Sweden, Norway and Denmark – would back Iceland in an emergency.

Global consolidators turning up the heat

The melt down of the Icelandic internet-only bank "Icesave" has left hundreds of thousands of non-Iceland citizens in total limbo with no answers. Apparently the nationals are covered but the Icelandic government is claiming insufficient funds to cover the hundreds of thousands of British customers whose accounts are now frozen. Prediction: This will not be an isolated incident. If it works once it will work again. They, the 'global consolidators', are going for the kill.

Something else going on here too. It is interesting to note the possibility of a "new order" as a result of the created "chaos". Sweden, Norway, and Denmark pledging to "back Iceland in an emergency". Is some sort of creative consolidation of the four countries in the works to either "prevent" or to "rectify" Iceland's national bankruptcy? A Scandinavian Union perhaps?

Rethinking Who Should Be Considered 'Essential' During A Pandemic Flu Outbreak

Not only are doctors, nurses, and firefighters essential during a severe pandemic influenza outbreak. So, too, are truck drivers, communications personnel, and utility workers. That's the conclusion of a Johns Hopkins University article to be published in the journal of Biosecurity and Bioterrorism. The report, led by Nancy Kass, Sc.D, Deputy Director of Public Health for the Johns Hopkins Berman Institute of Bioethics, provides ethical guidance for pandemic planning that ensures a skeletal infrastructure remain intact at all times. Dr. Kass says, "when preparing for a severe pandemic flu it is crucial for leaders to recognize that if the public has limited or no access to food, water, sewage systems, fuel and communications, the secondary consequences may cause greater sickness death and social breakdown than the virus itself."

The report recognizes that given the widespread and sustained nature of a pandemic, federal assistance will be spread thin and local jurisdictions must develop their own preparedness plans to ensure they are capable of sustained self-sufficiency. Encouraging and working with local businesses to develop their own response plans can help reduce the burden on local governments during a pandemic.

Planning for and creating skeletal infrastructures that remain intact

These last stages of transitioning the entire world into the global system will not come easy. By no means. The resistance and opposition would be too great to drag it out until la de da everybody is convinced that it is the best solution for all, and then go happily along with the flow, so to speak. That this would obviously never happen is of course well understood by the Cabalistic masters of the 'novus ordo seclorum'. For that reason, when everything else is ready and the scheduled time arrives, it is certain that the final blow will be sudden. Also, it will need to be a one punch knockout. This is for all the marbles.

Knowing which method will be used as the means to the end; i.e. the delivering of the actual knockout punch - whether the modus operandi would be a 'pandemic' or some other type of 'mass-casualty' event (to use an NWO catch phrase); is not important to this discussion. There are more than a few options to choose from: e.g. pandemic (per article), so-called terrorists maybe, even perhaps economic collapse, e.g. banks closed down one morning with notices on the doors that 'money has failed'...?

However it is done though, the entire existing 'old world order' system must be completely and finally shut down and shifted over to the community-based global model of the NWO.

It will have to be forced for this to happen. Communities are to be put in a position of survival so that people will have no choice but to rally and work together to survive. As this article states they will be forced into "sustained self-sufficiency" because "federal assistance will be spread thin". They will all be on their own in other words. The changes will be permanent. In the initial stages the only thing remaining to hold things together will be a "skeletal infrastructure", as is the topic of this article. This would certainly include martial law [NorthCom] to oversee the whole thing.

Using pandemic flu for the model, as seen in the above article, this "skeletal infrastructure" planning is being proposed for communities across the nation. The collaborators proposing this planning are all high level government.

This is the only way the final transition can ever happen. It will be forced into getting up and running. The globalists do not care about anything or anybody else. Their goals are all long term. The community management teams are already in place, having been trained (brainwashed) and networked for many years. When and how the final blow is delivered remains to be seen but the time is very close. It will be messy. The kingdom of darkness is not concerned about that either. Be aware.

Sentate Committee on Rules and Administration, and Senator Diane Feinstein (in her official capacity as chairman) for their failure to exercise due diligence with respect to Barack Obama's contitutional qualifications to be elected and serve as President of The United States, and for his inclusion on the ballot in Pennsylvania as a candidate for President of the United States.

Guidelines Expand FBI's Surveillance Powers

Justice Department officials released new guidelines yesterday that empower FBI agents to use intrusive techniques to gather intelligence within the United States, alarming civil liberties groups and Democratic lawmakers who worry that they invite privacy violations and other abuses.

The guidelines, which harmonize five different road maps dating back more than a generation, take effect Dec. 1.

Justice Department leaders rewrote a key section of the guidelines concerning agents' infiltration of groups and attendance at demonstrations. Under the new language, agents would be able to investigate the likelihood of violence stemming from a planned demonstration for as many as 30 days, with renewals subject to supervisory approval.

Caroline Fredrickson, director of the ACLU's Washington legislative office, said: "Since, under these guidelines, a generalized 'threat' is enough to begin an investigation, the FBI will be given carte blanche to begin surveillance without factual evidence. . . . These guidelines will lead to political witch hunts and more unwarranted investigations of political enemies and peace groups."

Catholics, Jews and Muslims gather at the Huntington Beach Pier

...to offer brief prayers. After a bowl of holy water is poured into the ocean, some grab their boards and hit the waves.

For about 400 interfaith worshipers, the shoreline became a makeshift church as Catholics, Jews and Muslims gathered for an unusual "blessing of the waves."

The service, sponsored by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Orange, was directed by a pair of surf-loving priests. Fathers Christian Mondor and Matt Munoz chose the Sunday after the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi -- the patron saint of ecology, as well as for animals -- for the event as a reminder that the ocean and its ecosystem must be protected.

Rick Ischinger, a longtime surfer, blew on a conch shell, calling the gathering to order. Then, one by one, the representatives of different faiths stood to give a brief prayer.

Fawad Yacoob of the Islamic Society of Orange County recited a verse from the Koran. The crowd was quiet as he sang the prayer.

When the prayers were finished, the Catholic priests took long stems of rosemary, dipped them in a large wooden bowl filled with holy water and sprinkled the crowd.

A "breathtaking" ruling from a California appeals court that could subject the parents of 166,000 students in the state to criminal sanctions will be taken to the state Supreme Court.

WND also has reported on concerns expressed by Roy Hanson, chief of the Private and Home Educators of California, about the way the ruling was issued.

Specifically, the appeals court affirmed, the trial court had found that "keeping the children at home deprived them of situations where (1) they could interact with people outside the family, (2) there are people who could provide help if something is amiss in the children's lives, and (3) they could develop emotionally in a broader world than the parents' 'cloistered' setting."

Caracas - Experts of the Union of South American Nations (UNASUR) took the firststeps to create a regional system in legal issues, as part of the integration process that is currently in progress.

Brazilian, Paraguayan, Chilean, Peruvian, *Panamanian, Uruguayan and Venezuelan Judicial Power presidents debated an extensive spectrum of issues, which included the need to sign protocols to unify sentence proceedings.

UNASUR needs to be agile in dealing with international problems, and its concept of integration has to be extensive and global, and in this respect, we share the integrationist idea, he said.

The meeting was led by Venezuelan Supreme Court of Justice President Luisa Estela Morales, with participation of President Hugo Chavez.

'Debating extensive spectrum of issues'

UNASUR, the South American Union, formed less than 4 months ago (5-24-08) is already planning their legislative integration. Twelve countries operating under a single legal system. The Unasur members are Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Uruguay, and Venezuela. It's very interesting to note that the Panamanian government was present at the meeting also. They currently hold "observer status" but it appears that they may be doing more than just observing.

Nearly 500 pastors and church leaders from across America were encouraged this past week not to depend on the government to tackle the social ills and crises of the nation but to look toward God and act as Christ’s representatives.

Once trained, these community 'faith leaders' will then be expected to fulfill their assigned roles in their individual communities, further preparing each of these communities to become independent 'units' of the new Agenda 21 community-based global management system. In this instance it is seen that one of the assigned roles of the 'faith sector' will be to partner with schools and take responsibility for managing the youth, i.e. seeing to their "spiritual and social needs". The Word of God in numerous places foretells of the corrupted condition of the 'professing' church as being the final state of Christendom, and tells us that at that time it will merge into and become part of the one world government of the Antichrist. Here is a perfect example of how the globalist planners are accomplishing that merge. A waste. A burden. That is how influential medical ethics expert Baroness Warnock views people suffering from dementia. Lady Warnock, a prominent adviser to the British government, told the Church of Scotland's Life and Work magazine that people suffering from dementia should be allowed to kill themselves rather than continue to burden their families and Britain's National Health Service.

She maintains that people should be allowed to give advance notice to a third party that they wish to be killed when they reach a set point of mental deterioration. And she wants to expand this "advance directive" to include just about any situation where a person believes their life is no longer worth living. Her ultimate goal is to license people to "put others down." "Put them down"—like a sick dog. At least she's frank.

The weak are the first to suffer when a society embraces a "quality of life" standard as the measure for human worth. The truth is that the strong and the rich in society are the true beneficiaries of euthanasia. Their responsibility to care for the sick and infirm is lifted when euthanasia is encouraged. One honest British commentator admits as much: "We in Britain, and across the industrial West, have an aging population. The old are living longer, and the young are breeding later and less. This presents a simple resource-management issue... We are heading for a situation where we're deciding between care for the elderly and education of the young; and in which the quality of life of a family caring for a grandparent or great-grandparent in an advanced state of senility can be significantly impaired, perhaps over decades."

The "quality of life" rhetoric of the euthanasia movement is the same rhetoric that the Nazis embraced when they embarked on a policy of killing and sterilizing the mentally or physically handicapped. Genocide of the "defective" became the means of removing the "waste" from society. This same mindset was present in the sterilization of the mentally handicapped in the U.S. in the early 1900s. These historical examples show the end result of "quality of life" thinking.

The "expert" in Great Britain is fulfilling her role, as described in the quote above. She is the advance guard, plowing the field and attempting to "push back the boundaries". She wants to license people to "put others down".

The state of California, as of 10-2-08, is making her wish come true and is in fact now licensing these very "quality of life" determiner-people. Little 'Terminators' that is. SACRAMENTO – California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has officially approved an assisted suicide measure allowing nurses to sedate, dehydrate and starve depressed or confused individuals they consider to be "terminally ill."

The bill, sponsored by Assemblywoman Patty Berg, a Democrat, passed the California Assembly Aug. 28, and the state Senate Aug. 20. It was signed by the governor yesterday.

"AB 2747 pushes suicide through the back door at the hands of non-physicians taking advantage of depressed patients," he said in a statement. "AB 2747 cheapens the value of human life by endorsing suicide as an option.".

"The bill does not otherwise attempt to expressly define terminal illness that each of these health care professionals would have to diagnose to trigger the offer of counseling end of life option," Tran said. "It is not clear why nurse practitioners and physician assistants could make such a significant diagnosis. It is further not clear from the bill how making such significant diagnoses on a case-by-case basis can be done by such practitioners and assistants based on so-called 'standardized procedures and protocols' not further defined by the bill. The potential effect of AB 2747 is extremely broad and could cause irrevocable harm."

He said the legislation was sponsored by a group called Compassion and Choices, which formerly was known as the Hemlock Society and has advocated for physician-assisted suicide legislation in the past.

Dozens of individuals and groups representing cancer patients, minority rights groups, members of religious communities and hospitals spoke before the Senate Health Committee in opposition to the idea. Also, numerous hospitals and other organizations opposed the measure, includeing California Disability Alliance, California Family Council, California Nurses for Ethical Standards, Mercy San Juan Medical Center, Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital and St. Mary's Medical Center in San Francisco.

Leaders and economists from Western Europe to East Asia Tuesday urged the United States to go beyond reviving a failed domestic bailout and start working on a new global financial system.

"The Americans don't have a choice — they must absolutely have a global plan," Christian Noyer, head of the French central bank, said in Paris.

"I am convinced that the sickness runs deep and that we need to rethink the entire financial and monetary system, as we did in Bretton Woods ... to create the tools for worldwide regulation made necessary by the globalization of trade," French President Nicolas Sarkozy said in the French city of Toulon on Monday.

He said that officials from France, Britain, Germany and Italy will meet next week in Paris with the Continent's top financial officials to prepare for a proposed global summit on the economic crisis. European Central Bank President Jean-Claude Trichet will participate.

The 27-nation European Union said Tuesday that the crisis "has become a global problem" and Washington has a "special responsibility" to resolve it.

David McCormick, undersecretary of the Treasury for international affairs, said Washington will take into account any potential global impact when it makes decisions about "how the U.S. regulatory structure should evolve."

He's in a pretty high-up supervisory position for a refinery down on the coast. His refinery has some equipment and lines in and around Galveston county, and before they were to bring them back on line he and his crew had to inspect the place for damage and potential hazards. So they were given permission....after a background check....to helicopter in and inspect, which meant coming in over Galveston.

"I kid you not when I say that he told me they saw AT LEAST 1500 bodies in trees scattered about Galveston. They also saw a lot in various ditches and marshes, esp. on the north side of East Galv. Bay, east side of Trinity Bay, and in the marshes between I-45 and Seabrook/Clear Lake/Deer Park.

It explains why they're not letting the media anywhere close to the Island except in limited sectors nd we're not hearing anything from or about the people who survived and those who stayed behind. It's like 20,000 people never existed....where are they? Where'd they go? What are their names? Nothing....

Same thing in Orange county.

Take it for what it's worth....I believe him, though his count may be wrong given the shock of the sight. But like I said, I'd trust him to raise my kids.
