(METRO) press release: The move to monitor and curtail crime on buses and trains is just one component of a much larger initiative called BusSafe - a national pilot program created by a peer advisory group of mass transit police chiefs and security directors, and one which METRO’s Police Department is adopting to enhance safety on the system.
The participating agencies will: ride buses, perform random bag checks, and conduct K-9 sweeps, as well as place uniformed and plainclothes officers at Transit Centers and rail platforms to detect, prevent and address latent criminal activity or behavior.
While local law enforcement agencies focus on overall safety measures noted above, representatives with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) will also be on hand, lending their counter-terrorism expertise and support during the exercise.
“We have one of the safest transit systems in the world in Houston,” said METRO Police Chief Victor Rodriguez. “One way we are able to keep it that way is through the use of deterrents such as uniformed and plainclothes officers patrolling our system and aggressively addressing suspicious and criminal activity.”

This is ILLEGAL according to the 4th Amendment of the United States Constitution Bill of Rights".

Amendment IV
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Two weeks ago SCOTUS cleared the way for strip-searching of Americans for virtually any reason - sending an ominous NWO message that Americans have now been "stripped" of all their rights: here. The launch of this national pilot program in Houston called "BusSafe" now proves this to be absolutely true. Americans "rights" are history. Big Brother has officially taken over. Interrogation of passengers, random bag searches, K9 sweeps, along with undercover secret police riding buses and "aggressively" monitoring for "suspicious activity" so that they can "prevent...criminal activity or behavior" - these gestapo tactics are now the law of the land in New Amerika 2012.
Houston has already begun, the national rollout cannot be far behind. And surely it will not stop with the bus systems.
