The Holy Ghost - the third Person of the Godhead. On this subject there is something particularly fascinating with regard to the many so-called modern translations of the Holy Bible. Right to the point it is this: the Holy Ghost is nowhere to be found in them. Most often the name of the Holy Ghost has been replaced by the term Holy Spirit. The significance of this is the subject of this post and is discussed below. Not one non-KJV 'bible' has a single mention of the name "Holy Ghost". Completely gone. The images below demonstrate this, showing the word-search results for "Holy Ghost" in the NIV, NASB, NKJV, and the ESV. Zero zero zero and zero. By contrast, the name "Holy Ghost" is found in the King James Version in 89 verses [90 times total- Acts:19:2 found 2x]:
