All adults should be screened for unhealthy alcohol use, new guidelines say
[excerpted] You can expect a "drinking checkup" when you visit the doctor. All adults, including pregnant women, should be screened for unhealthy alcohol use by their primary care physicians, the United States Preventive Services Task Force advises. For those patients who drink above the recommended limits, doctors should provide brief counseling to help them reduce their drinking, according to the new task force statement published Tuesday in the medical journal JAMA.
The new recommendation is a simple update of the task force's long-standing position. Since 1996, the task force has recommended doctors screen and briefly counsel adults for unhealthy drinking... "Yet implementation of screening and brief intervention still remains quite low," Angela Bazzi and Dr. Richard Saitz, both of Boston University School of Public Health, wrote in an editorial published with the new guidelines in JAMA.
Behavioral counseling interventions include in-person or web-based sessions that are usually short, for example, just one to four sessions, two hours or less of total contact time, according to the task force.
"The societal context must change," wrote Bazzi and Staitz.

Mandated 'screening' of all adults by 'doctors' is the new 'advisement' by JAMA (Journal of the American Medical Association), an upgrade on past policy that only recommended doctor-prying but was not being carried out.
'Screening' the entire population for anything is about control - bottom line. This is the stuff of authoritarian regime building. Submit every person to a surrender of their autonomy. In this case the person must surrender their autonomy by answering to a 'doctor' about their personal life and then upon that assessment may be prescribed "behavioral counseling".
Changing the "societal context" by screening 'citizens'. Spoken truly by Bazzi and Staitz. This is exactly the strategy of the would-be new-world-ers. Changing completely how society works, is what that is saying. The few control, the masses are controlled...like a herd of cattle [see: goyim]. They need to get this new societal context up and running to set up their new antichrist world system. So, have to screen-out the ones that need re-programming, or what they call..."behavioral counseling".
