Note To Christians Everywhere: You Should Use Only The Living Bible - Otherwise Known As The King James Version

John 6:53 'Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you'

The Bible sanctifies and moulds the mind into the image of Christ. You cannot expect to grow in grace if you do not read the Scriptures. If you are not familiar with the word, you cannot expect to become like Him that spoke it.

Oh, be much with the holy word of God, and you will be holy. Be much with the silly novels of the day, and the foolish trifles of the hour, and you will degenerate into vapid wasters of your time.

But be much with the solid teachings of God's word, and you will become solid and substantial men and women: drink them in, and feed upon them, and they shall produce in you a Christ-likeness, at which the world shall stand astonished. - Spurgeon
***
Compare: John 6:60-61,66-68

---------------------------------------------------
With the thought of feeding on the Word Of God, despite the certain objections of more than a few, the absolute truth is that the King James Version (KJV) is the only Bible that can produce the effects described above by Spurgeon. Every other version, without exception, are like the GMO foods passed off on people today - i.e. the vital essence having been destroyed it is not the real thing. Following that little analogy, the KJV would then be 'organic'. Recommend go organic if not already - see: Authorized Version King James Only - for a reason

Note to Christians everywhere: you should be reading and comparing MULTIPLE English versions of the Bible to get the best understanding and weed out individual translator errors or bad word choices! Do not rely on just any one translation. apps like e-Sword are great for this.

Note to anon [directly above] personally (and to believers everywhere):

You definitely should reject completely every single non-KJV Westcott-Hort aka Nestle-Aland corrupted text imitation bibles - just as has the Bible's Author the third person of the triune Godhead God the Holy Ghost; see:

If You Do Not Use The King James Bible - You Do Not Have The Holy Ghost

It is a choice between the living (KJV) and the dead (WH/NA all)

Rev. 18:4

I agree many of the newer translations have been corrupted in (many) areas. But older translations also contain (human) errors and/or unfortunate word choices. That’s why it’s best to compare multiple translations.

One area that I agree is thoroughly (nearly 100%) corrupted however is pretty much every commentary written after the late 1800’s (and also many section headings in modern bibles which are words of man not God) related to the area of end times/eschatology, except very very few (e.g. Pastor Boyd Wayne Jackson’s). There are multiple “Wayne Jackson” pastors so be sure to use the right one (http://www.christiancourier.com). I’ve found His writings to be remarkably and nearly singularly accurate in doctrine and correct interpretation to remove the massive deception of modern Zionism out of prophecy. 99.999% of all modern Christian pastors are deceived by the false modern Zionism unfortunately, failing to properly discern spiritual vs physical and symbolic vs literal fulfillment’s in prophecy. It’s not about “the land” (which is all I ever hear or read)...it’s about Jesus and His Kingdom, which we are in RIGHT NOW.

So your warnings of corrupted writings are warranted, but the advice to rely only on kjv I feel is very unwise.

re: "Boyd Wayne Jackson...nearly singularly accurate in doctrine and correct interpretation"

That statement could not be further from the truth, and in no way should Boyd Wayne Jackson be endorsed. On the contrary he is to be warned against. His 'prophecy interpretations' are riddled with fatal error [and note, quotes from, for one, the corrupted NASB].

Here are three examples of Jackson's totally incorrect eschatology from the website you linked above [note: it only took a few minutes to skim through a few articles to find these statements - which upon finding made looking at any of Jackson's other teaching's unnecessary - it is another gospel, another spirit].

As for eschatology Jackson is at best a partial-preterist:

"There is no support for the theory of premillennialism—not in the book of Revelation, nor elsewhere in the Bible."

"The dispensational dogma, with all its peculiar elements (including the rapture notion), is clearly at variance with much Bible teaching, and honest students of Holy Writ will reject it."

"It is not without significance that the Jews themselves recognized that the destruction of Jerusalem in A.D. 70 was the fulfillment of Daniel’s prophecy"

Denies outright the pre-tribulational pre-millenial return of the Lord Jesus Christ, outright denies 'dipensationalism' - without which the Bible can never be correctly understood, ascribes prophecy yet to be fulfilled as past-tense (preterism/partial preterism). In another article denies outright the personage of the coming Antichrist, in another identifies the "Antichrist" as the 'Papal system' (not an individual).

- and much much more utter confusion of eschatology which is not possible to point out here)

Dangerous scripture-twisted teachings. Totally contrary on all points to any correct eschatology. To accept these views is to be deceived.

As very apparently you do as evidenced by continual attempts to discredit the KJV and your last statement proclaiming 'Kingdom now' delusion.

Believing false teachers is one thing, peddling their error - as you, anon, are doing - makes you also responsible for deceiving - 2John 10-11.

I see, it seems this is more to your liking:

“Thus says the Lord of hosts,
“Do not listen to the words of the prophets who are prophesying to you.
They are leading you into futility;
They speak a vision of their own imagination.” Jer 23:16

I think with that i’m done here. God bless and beware James 3:1.

Also, I forgot to note that the apostle John knew and specified that he was even then in the Kingdom of God, when Revelation was written:

“I, John, your brother and fellow partaker in the tribulation and kingdom and perseverance which are in Jesus, was on the island called Patmos because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.” - Rev 1:9

Heather, thank you for posting. I had no idea. Universalism...rampant in today's seminaries, which explains why there is so much false doctrine being preached and taught in church buildings today. Those who preach and teach truth are a rareity. Seminaries are a breeding ground for false doctrine. No wonder there is so much confusion within the Body of Christ. 2 Tim. 2:15, "Study, to show theyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." We will be accountable for our lack of discernment, and need to continue to seek God's truth ONLY through His word. Anything that is extra Biblical requires scrutiny and spiritual discernment.
