Two Christian Colleges Allow Hiring of Gay Married Professors; Goshen Board Sought Guidance in Prayer Before Final Decision
Two universities that belong to the Council of Christian Colleges and Universities...
Goshen College in Indiana and Eastern Mennonite University in Virginia announced on Monday that they will now hire faculty who are in same-sex marriages.
"We have spent several years reviewing our hiring practices," said Goshen College's Director of Communications Jodi Beyeler to The Christian Post on Monday.
"There's been prayer. We've listened to a variety of voices from our constituencies and stake holders. There have been legal changes. And our board, this past weekend, made the decision to change our non-discrimination policy in light of all that. The primary change would be the addition of sexual orientation and gender identity to our non-discrimination policy," said Beyeler.
Both schools have strong relations with the Mennonite Church USA. The organization recently rejected a proposal to authorize same-sex marriages, but has adopted the "forbearance resolution," which focuses on tolerance of opposing views in the community.
The schools issued the same statement regarding the Mennonite Church USA's decision...

re: 'forbearance resolution'
Say what? Forbearance of sodomy? One of the schools, Goshen College in Indiana, claims to have 'prayed' about this married-homosexual professor issue...and "listened to a variety of voices" (clearly not the voice of the Spirit of God though)...with the result being the adoption of the official "forbearance resolution" recently put forth by the Mennonite Church USA. The second school, Eastern Mennonite University in Virginia, apparently didn't even bother with the formality, or the wasting of their time with senseless praying, and just jumped right on board with the so-called resolution.
The Goshen-ites are obviously praying to the same god as Tony Campolo [see 'follow up' above]...i.e. the god of this world [2Cor. 4:4]. Little further comment needed along that line other than to note that all of Laodicea is going to follow suit...including Catholicism [link]. That this is true is easily discerned when it is clearly understood that the 'god of this world' is the god of Laodicea.
All of Laodicea to be homosexualized? Here now is evident the immediate strategy for the next level of the 'gay' infiltration of Christendom - it is the 'forbearance' strategy. Don't have to agree necessarily, just 'forbear'. That folks is called the Hegelian dialectic. Here's a guarantee too for all still sitting in any formal or organized church anywhere - you will eventually, if not already, be subjected to this 'forbearance strategy'. Many so-called pastors more than likely will, if not already, be soon spouting it from their pulpits without even actually knowing that they are doing so. Just a little concession here, a little concession there, nothing to worry about - we are all sinners, they will add, blinded into believing that this is the 'loving' way to handle the situation. Then of course there are many others who will know exactly what they are doing.
"The love of the truth", professing Christian, is the only safeguard against "strong delusion" [2Thes. 2:10-11]. Compromise, any compromise, with God's eternal unchanging truth [1Peter 1:24-25] always comes with a steep price. That price is spiritual delusion - an inability to discern truth from error. The condition is rampant in Christendom today.
These are the days the Book of Jude warned of (Jude 4) - the days that would precede and lead up to the things of the Book of Revelation. The time in the world's history when the 'religious landscape' of the earth would be inundated by "Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever" (Jude 11-13).
Will you follow a "wandering star"...right into the "blackness of darkness for ever"?
Forbearing with that which defies the Word of God is to be leavened. A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump [Gal. 5:9]. Reality is that the whole lump (of the so-called Christian world) is in fact now leavened [Matt. 13:33]. The leavening action cannot be stopped. Here is why the Word of God reveals to the believer the fate of Laodicea as being spued out of the mouth of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ because of their 'forbearing' lukewarmness [Rev. 3: 15-16] - to call them out [Rev. 3:20].
In a sourdough bread no flour remains unleavened. Likewise, in the formal church today no 'Christian' can remain unleavened. Except by completely separating. Oh my church is good one will say. Really? What about that guest speaker coming in next week? Or what about the leadership so-called conference the pastor is heading off to next month? At some level virtually every single organized church is connected in one way or another to some number of others...and guaranteed the leaven is at work somewhere in that mess. Just a little is all it takes, and all will surely be soured i.e. Ichabod [1Sam. 4:21].
Inescapable reality: leaven of open-rebellion against the authority of the Word of God spreading fast throughout 'Christendom'.
Separate unto the Lord, or be leavened. There are no other choices - 2Cor. 6:17-18.
Rev. 18:4
