Hal Lindsey is as well known a name in Christendom as there is today and needs little in the way of introduction. The purpose of this post does need a bit of an intro though, and is as follows: About Hal Lindsey, who is he really, and where did he come from, and how did he begin, and what does he teach, and is it true, and the very first thing considered here, why why why does he subject viewers of his television program to a continual exposure to an all seeing eye-of-Horus? Need to know things for any who may follow Hal Lindsey's teachings:
***
And what concord hath Christ with Belial? - 2Cor. 6:15
And what concord hath an all-seeing eye-of-Horus with a supposed Christian bible-prophecy expert?
What concord? As seen above, in the case of Hal Lindsey, with regard to his well known and long running weekly television program called "The Hal Lindsey Report", quite a bit of concord actually. And as these images above and below from a recent program reveal [2-13-15 (Friday the 13th); video from Lindsey website], if you are a viewer of the 'Hal Lindsey Report' you have been/are being exposed to this "concord" continually. The fact is that "the eye" is a rather predominant feature of the program. Each of the four images immediately above were clipped from a different point during the 27 min. program. Note the progress bars below each video image. The first image on the upper left is the show's opening, the clip is at :03 seconds. The 'eye' then appears again, as seen upper right, at one-third of the way through the program, clip at 10:02. It then reappears for a third time at the two-thirds mark, seen on the bottom left, clip at 17:47. The eye-image at the 1/3rd and 2/3rd marks are put up on the screen while an appeal is made for "financial support". The 'eye' makes one more appearance at the end of the show to close things out.
Important to note that in each instance these are not fleeting images - the "eye" remains on the screen for a good length of time, colors flashing and swirling around and around, for at least 8-10 seconds. This amounts to quite a bit of screen-time for 'Horus' throughout the course of the show, staring down viewers, the vast majority being of course absolutely oblivious all the while. To see what is being done here as not fully intentional is quite simply not possible. Understanding the known Satanic significance in the use of the symbology of 'the Horus eye', that this is purposely designed to subconsciously transfix the minds of the viewers to the "program" is the only believable possibility. Look deeply into the eye, viewer, do not look away, do not blink...watch the flashing lights, we are your masters, look into the eye...look deeply into the eye...
Hal Lindsey 'at one with the eye'
Note the time mark on this next image just below. It is clipped at ten seconds. This is the opening of the show. The show opens with the eye, and for a full ten seconds the eye has been doing it's hypnotizing best on viewers before fading out while Hal Lindsey fades in. The below image is virtually indiscernible at regular speed, it passes by in the 'blink of an eye'. That sort of thing is normally called subliminal. Understanding Horus-eye-symbology, it is very difficult not to interpret this image as representing "concord with Belial". Think it could be by accident? Might want to think again.
About Hal Lindsey and what he preaches What is below is in some ways old news but many people who listen to Lindsey's teaching may still not be aware of an important consideration, namely the facts concerning Hal Lindsey's sudden emergence into mainstream prominence as a Bible prophecy 'expert' way back in 1970 with the publication of a landmark prophecy book that he authored called "The Late Great Planet Earth".
Or...was it that he did not actually write the book, but just had his name put on it, and was vaulted into national prominence anyway. Turns out that this is actually how the story goes:
"Hal Lindsey...Very few people know that Lindsey's mammoth bestseller, “The Late, Great Planet Earth,” was actually written by a woman, Carla Carlson. To his credit, Lindsey has publicly admitted this. The question remains, however: Who is Carla Carlson? Why was she involved in writing Lindsey's book? Why is her name not highlighted on the cover, in bold letters equally as large as those of Hal Lindsey? And finally: Are all of Hal Lindsey's books similarly written by unknown ghostwriters?" source: Christian Ghostwriting; Texe Marrs
"Hal Lindsey is known as the father of modern bible prophecy. His famous Late Great Planet Earth sold over 35 million copies and spawned the billion dollar end-times industry whose books and videos repeat his dispensational theme and are patterned after his novel writing style...However, after two decades of basking in the praise for creating this new genre of prophetic literature, it was quietly revealed that the books were actually ghost written by a mysterious C.C. Carlson...Hal Lindsey was 42 in 1971 when Late Great Planet Earth appeared. There is no indication he had ever written anything longer than a term paper to that point in his life. And his background as a New Orleans tugboat captain and campus evangelist suggest he never had an aptitude for writing. He is more of an active, outdoor type with strong interpersonal skills...So while Hal continues to appear on TV, maintain his high visibility and lead tour after tour to Israel (over 80 trips to date), Carole is quietly at home in Ventura, California with her feet under her word processor. They are both doing what they do best and Carole appears happy to let her famous partner enjoy the limelight." source: historicist.info
These are two brief excerpts from longer articles. Apparently, many years later, after the truth of Lindsey's non-authorship of 'Late Great Planet Earth' was revealed, the book was republished with the ghostwriter's name included. Reportedly this ghostwriter is a woman, has ghost-written for other Christian big-names, and according to some sources, it seems that no one really knows for sure just who this person actually is, man or woman. At any rate, more info can be found via a little searching on the subject for any interested.
Apparently as far as Lindsey goes all this is over and done, forgiven and forgotten, no harm no foul, so on and so forth. But is it really? Can a man enter the ministry based upon a fraud, thereby defiling it from the very beginning, and then continue on as if it did not matter? Or would this constitute a "concord with Belial" scenario. What saith the scripture? What immediately comes to mind is a similar case recorded in the fifth chapter of Book of Acts. Bible students will be familiar with it: Acts 5:1-11. The passage gives an account of a man and wife, Ananias and Sapphira by name, who attempted to enter the the brand new 1st century Christian church based upon a fraudulent representation of themselves. Please click the link just above and read if not familiar with the passage.
The reality was that this was no small matter, partly because it is the first recorded situation of this type in church history, and in that it would serve as an illustration of the mind of the LORD on the nature of the offense for all that would follow. What was/is the 'mind of the LORD' on such an offense? Both Ananias and Sapphira were struck dead on the spot [Acts. 5:3-5, 9-10].
Harsh? Well, not so fast. There was much more than meets 'the eye' going on here. Behind the scene, so to speak, this was actually a Satanic attempt to defile the fledgling Christian church, right at the outset. It was a sly attempt by 'Belial' to establish a 'concord with Christ' - to let truth and error coexist. God the Holy Ghost cannot be deceived though, of course [Acts 5:3], and the outcome was an object lesson for all to see. The Spirit of God is the Spirit of truth [John 14:17], and there never can or will be any 'concord with Belial' whatsoever. Here now in 2015 though the professing Christian church worldwide has not heeded the lesson and the church is full of 'accepted error', but while judgment is no longer immediate as in this first instance with Ananias and Sapphira, this does not mean that a delayed judgment will be overlooked. Not at all. Matthew 7:21-23, for just one passage to reference, makes this very clear.
Pointing these things out is not passing judgment on Hal Lindsey, it is just making the observation of similarity. Certainly we would not go so far as to say that a man cannot repent. By no means. But the question then goes right back to the first subject of this post which is Lindsey's 'eye of Horus'. How can one who names the name of Christ use known, obvious Satanic symbology to carry out their ministry. Let those who will deny that this is the case, it will be a futile effort. Since it is clear that Christ has no concord with Belial, the fact is that something is very wrong. Let each discern for them self if that be so.
The next consideration, very briefly just to get the overall view on Lindsey other than just the 'eye' on his television program and his initial appearance on the national stage Ananias-style, is what does Hal Lindsey teach and preach? Very clearly, and none can honestly dispute the fact that, aside from his regular inclusion of rapture preaching, Lindsey primarily preaches Israel, Israel, Israel, the land, the land, the land [link]. The images below from the same program the above images were clipped from illustrate this very well:
Let whomsoever say what they will, 'Israel and the land' is not the Christian message of the cross and the blood of Jesus. "Israel and the Land" is the Judaized misdirection of the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is the mutated message of Zionist global domination - which has no place for the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ (which is it's fatal flaw - link), and that message is encapsulated in the phrase in the above photo on the left of Lindsey at his desk: "Battle of the Ages". This is Hal Lindsey's true message, same message as fellow chief-preacher of Israel-worship John Hagee, and too many others to count; i.e. the coming Zionist-planned false Gog-Magog WWIII, as discussed in this post from ten months ago:
"Four Blood Moons" Zionist Fake Bible Prophecy Scheme Now Underway - April 2014 To September 2015 4-14-14 "...one thing is certain - and that is that a massive worldwide deception is on the way...in terms of middle east warfare, ultimately finalizing in a fake Gog-Magog WWIII*, prearranged to result in Israeli victory, allowing for a claim of divine-deliverance, to then be interpreted-to-the-world as evidence of the god-given right to rule the planet and mankind...Syria is on the list for conquest. Possibly something starts there. This could lead into an Iran involvement, and it is definitely not without importance to note the fact that Russia has suddenly become the big bad villain. Totally scripted. In the fake Gog-Magog scenario they have to play the lead role of enemy from the North. [see post]
This "Battle of the Ages" as Israel pitchman Lindsey has termed it, and as described directly above, involving Russia, Iran, and China, has actually been in the planning stages for a very long time. Long before Lindsey came on the scene in fact, but the truth is that Lindsey was the one who brought this Judaized version of 'endtimes' into the so-to-speak 'modern era'. It was in fact the 'Late Great Planet Earth' book that Lindsey did not write that brought the teaching into the mainstream, as apparently the whole thing was laid out in the book. Russia and Persia (Iran), etc., the whole 'Battle of the Ages' theme. That was 45 years ago, and it was after the book came out that Hal Lindsey above all others was made the face and spokesman for what essentially is the 'Israel and the Land' gospel. And pushing it more than ever now, shoe-horning it into, once again, the supposed Gog-Magog WWIII, starring Russia in the leading role as prime villain. Any student of history knows full well, by the way, that Russia has been totally Zionist controlled since the Jewish manufactured Russian-Bolshevik Revolution of 1917. What does that tell us?
The very big problem Bible-prophecy wise is the whole thing is not at all according to the Word of God. The scenario is according to the 'spirit of Belial', as represented by the eye-of-Horus, though. This scriptural discrepancy is briefly countered here in this excerpt also from the Hagee/blood moons post linked above:
The real Gog-Magog takes place at the end of the thousand year period known commonly as the millennial kingdom [Rev. 20:7-8]. Ezekiel's chapter 38-39 Gog-Magog and the Revelation's chapter 20 Gog-Magog are one and the same. This is almost universally denied though because the scheme as described above is not possible unless it is made into two separate events. Note 2: This can only be done by purposely ignoring the chronology of Ezekiel. These chapters of Ezekiel are absolutely chronological. To correctly interpret Ezekiel this chronology must not be overlooked. Ezekiel 38-39 can in no way happen before Ezekiel 36-37, which is the restoration of the nation of Israel by the LORD God: cleansing them, giving them a "new heart", and putting his Spirit within them, unto obedience; Ezekiel 36:25-28; 37:14,23-24. This has absolutely not happened yet, and will not happen, until after the tribulation, the time of Jacob's trouble; Jer. 30:7 (Israel returning to the land in 1948 and Jerusalem in 1967 was not at all the restoration promised by God, but was accomplished by their own political machinations - without God at all [1John 2:22]). Ezekiel 38-39 then, can occur at the end of the thousand-year millennium only, "after many days", when Satan is loosed for a time from the bottomless pit where he has been held for that thousand years [Ezekiel 38:8; Rev. 20:7], to lead Gog-Magog [Ezekiel 38:9; Rev. 20:8], only to be "devoured" [Rev. 20:9;], that God may magnify and sanctify Himself before all the millennial world [Ezekiel 38:23; 39:6].
Rosh is not Russia; Russia nowhere to be found in the Bible
One more very important point to bring out about the Gog-Magog scenario. This is probably the key thing the entire 'Israel and the Land' scheme unfolding in the world today, said to be bible prophecy by Lindsey et al., is built upon - which is the claim that Russia is named in the Bible as the 'last days enemy' of Israel. The absolute fact is though that Russia is nowhere to be found in the bible. It was only by making use of a blatantly devilish twisting and abuse of scripture to devise the means to insert something into the bible which could then be used to claim the desired "Russia" interpretation. And this is exactly what has been done. The verse in question is Ezekiel 38:3, in particular the phrase referring to Gog as "the chief prince":
The King James, the only correct Bible, reads thus:
Ezekiel 38:3 'And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal'
It is in this verse where the Russia-in-the-bible fraud is perpetrated. The word "chief" (of chief prince) in the Hebrew is 'rosh'. Rosh in Hebrew means exactly what it is here translated as: chief, or head.
7218 ro'sh roshe from an unused root apparently meaning to shake; the head (as most easily shaken), whether literal or figurative (in many applications, of place, time, rank, itc.):--band, beginning, captain, chapiter, chief(-est place, man, things), company, end, X every (man), excellent, first, forefront, ((be-))head, height, (on) high(-est part, (priest)), X lead, X poor,
Hundreds of times the word rosh is used in the OT Hebrew text, and is always translated as head or chief, or another of the words in the above definition. Never once is it ever translated as a proper noun, that is, the name of a place. Not once. So how did the "Battle of the Ages" strategists get around this dilemma. They did something rather remarkable actually. Using their Westcott-Hort pseudo-bibles [link], they actually rewrote Ezekiel 38:3. The English word 'chief' was removed, the word order was changed, and the Hebrew word "rosh" was then inserted right into the English text thereby making it very easy to say "Oh look, that must mean Russia", as seen in the following examples:
ASV (1901) "and say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal:
NKJV “and say, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD: “Behold, I am against you, O Gog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal.
NASB "and say, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD, “Behold, I am against you, O Gog, prince of Rosh, Meshech and Tubal.
There you have it. These versions actually add the Hebrew word 'rosh' (capitalized) right into the text, as seen, and with that the claim is made that it means Russia. It is in this way that the verse is made to say 'O Gog, prince of Rosh (Russia)'. This is absolute deception and fraud. Other versions like NIV and ESV, for example, while not adding 'rosh' right into the text do footnote the verse suggesting that 'rosh' should be inserted. All explained away with the typical sophistical arguments that all the Westcott/Hort versions are based on, and then off they go with their 'Russia' in bible prophecy validation. Note too that this was done way back in the ASV so-called American Standard Version published in 1901. As mentioned above, the plan has been in the works for a very long time. Note also that the NASB is one of the 'Russia friendly' versions. Guess what version Hal Lindsey has been using lately - see picture above (right side) with the bible verse on the screen. One more thing while on the subject, not everybody knows it, but NASB stands for Not-A-Solid-Bible [link]
In contrast, to reiterate, the correct reading as found in the King James says "O Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal". Understanding correctly that Gog-Magog can only happen after the thousand year millennium has expired, it should be readily apparent that to identify the names given in Ezekiel 38 such as Meshech and Tubal and others with any earthly locations in today's world is not possible. The world at the end of the millennium will be no doubt a much different place than it is today. No identification is possible or needful. The best way to view these entities are as the hosts of spiritual wickedness in high places [Eph. 6:12] that Satan will command at that time, including perhaps the multitudes of the nations that we are told will rebel against the LORD God in that day, whose number will be as the sand of the sea [Rev. 20:8]. This brings another point out, which is the Russia-interpretation's use of Ezekiel 38:15 describing an enemy from the "north parts", making that out to be Russia since Russia is north of Israel. A far better view, especially considering that Russia absolutely cannot be in the picture, is to understand the "north parts" as referring to the spiritual realm where the spiritual hosts of wickedness reside [Job. 26:7; Isaiah 14:12-13]. Gog can be identified though, and can only be a reference to Satan himself, who is to be released from the bottomless pit after the millennium - to be the 'rosh' or 'chief' prince of the invading hordes.
And on that note, time to wrap it up. In closing this post we would add only this: Beware 'the eye' and everything that comes with it, and any that would subject you to it. Period. Rev. 18:4
Much more on these things; see all: Gog Magog hoax; all seeing eye
