TOPEKA, Kan. - Kansas has suspended income tax refunds and may not be able to pay employees on time, the state's budget director said Monday.

The state doesn't have enough money in its main bank account to pay its bills, prompting Democratic Gov. Kathleen Sebelius to suggest transferring $225 million from other accounts throughout state government. But the move required approval from legislative leaders, and the GOP refused Monday.

Goossen said the state might also have to delay payments to public schools and to doctors who provide care to needy Kansans under the Medicaid program.

Seeing the participation of Wayne Cordeiro with the 'unleashing and imagining' emerging church leaders at the recent 'Awaken 2008' emerging conference (linked above - TiP), and being aware of his wide influence, it became a matter of necessity to take a closer look at his teaching and doctrine. 'Guilt by association' may or may not hold up in court, but just the same..."Can two walk together, except they be agreed?" Amos 3:3  [*2017 update/correction: All references to "Holy Spirit" should be read "Holy Ghost" (link)]

For that reason Wayne Cordeiro's book "Dream Releasers" was randomly chosen for a representative sample of his teaching and examined. Regretfully, the report is not good.

It's an amazing thing to consider how so much of what passes today for Christian teaching can be anything but, and yet the mass of professing Christians are completely unable to discern the errors. The most foundational points of what would be called "sound doctrine" can be completely absent and no concern will be raised by those receiving the instruction. The Holy Spirit can have nothing to do whatsoever with the activities in question, and He will never even be missed by the crowds of followers...

Such is the case with this little book by Wayne Cordeiro entitled "The Dream Releasers", published in 2002, and still being sold through the New Hope Oahu church which Cordeiro founded. The fact that the book continues to be sold shows that the particular philosophy/theology espoused is unchanged. This is a serious problem for any who would receive the teaching of this book without exercising discernment as to the 'soundness' of the doctrine.

By a liberal use of 'Christianese', an exterior appearance of Christianity is retained in Cordeiro's teaching, a thin veneer, but the truth of the Word of God has been gutted and replaced with a slick teaching of 'human potential' development. The little 5" by 7 1/2" book uses the word "potential" no less than fifty (50) times in approximately 137 double spaced pages. The book has 189 pages total but the content itself is contained on 137, the rest being blank, or title pages, or illustrations, etc.. In comparison, another subject, a crucial one, which shall be discussed later, was mentioned absolutely zero times. None, nada, no mention whatsoever.

In a nutshell the teaching is something along these lines:

The gospel of 'Dream Releasing' basically starts with the premise that God has given a wonderful and exciting dream to all people. Cordeiro writes:

"Everybody has one. It might be imprisoned by faulty character or it could be paralyzed by others' disdain. Still, everybody has one. Everybody has . . .a dream. This dream is a hope of what we can be for God. It was divinely installed at His moment of choice. But unless that potential is recognized and released (p. 26) it remains richly unproductive, helplessly filled with hope and powerfully impotent. But once discovered, it becomes a honing device, an invisible guide that navigates us through the precarious passages of life." (p. 27)

It is to be noted that no scripture references are given for these statements. The reason for that is not difficult to find because there are no scripture references for these statements.

On Zionism: It is impossible to correctly understand world events today, in light of bible prophecy, without identifying the driving force behind the massive and VERY powerful push for a one-world government as the Jewish Zionist movement. One example of scripture that Zionism is based on is found in a prophecy in the Old Testament in the 2nd book of Samuel, dated approximately B.C. 1000. Nathan the prophet, speaking to the Jewish king David in regard to David's wish to at that time build a house (temple) for the LORD, prophesied to him that not he but to his 'son' would it be granted to build a house for God's name, and a throne forever:

2 Sam. 7:13 "He shall build a house for my name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever."

This has not happened of course. Today there is no temple, no throne, no kingdom forever. The reason that it has not happened is that this scripture is a prophetic utterance referring, not to the Jewish king David's earthly son Solomon, but to David's greater Son, a direct descendant (Matt. 1:1; see vs. 1-17), i.e. heir to the throne, who would be born of a virgin approximately 1000 years later, the Lord Jesus Christ (cf. Rev. 22:16). He alone will build 'Zion' - the city and habitation of God, the true Zion, and He alone will reign supreme forever (Isaiah 9:6-7). The LORD GOD ALMIGHTY has so decreed it in advance, it cannot be changed:

"Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion." Psalms 2:6

Nevertheless, the Zionist Jews, having rejected Jesus Christ, and so then acting in unbelief and without God at all (1John 2:22; John 3:36) are attempting to themselves fulfill this as yet unfulfilled prophecy. They will build their own Zion, and set their own king on their own hill, and will not be hindered, for they "are divine gods on this planet". This is the Zionist movement. It is powerful, internationally connected, and zealously determined. They have every intention of gaining full and final control of the entire world and placing their 'king' on a throne and ruling the planet. This one and only goal is alone the driving force behind the chaotic push for one-world government, aka Zionism. It is also bible prophecy fulfilling in our day.

According to the Word of God, this movement will indeed succeed in gaining control of the world and place a pseudo-Jewish king on that throne. It will be claimed that he is in fact a 'seed' of David, a 'son of', and, as a direct descendant of the bloodline of David, heir to the throne. Unfortunately for the deluded world this will prove to be a horrible deception. According to other relevant prophecies in the inerrant Word of God this 'king' will turn out to be a Satanic impostor. He will be in his person the 'anti' christ, the very opposite of the true Christ who has already come, and is coming again. The scripture identifies this counterfeit as:

"the man of sin...the son of perdition; who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshiped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God." (2Thes. 2:3-4).

This king who will ascend to the throne of the world will be the biblical Antichrist.

World events today are being guided and steered by Zionists - this is undeniable. Also undeniable is that they have their 'end game' underway, and the final scenario of one world government is rapidly materializing. A Dutch MP who called the Koran a "fascist book" has been sent back to the Netherlands after attempting to defy a ban on entering the UK.

Freedom Party MP Geert Wilders had been invited to show his controversial film - which links the Islamic holy book to terrorism - in the UK's House of Lords.

But Mr Wilders, who faces trial in his own country for inciting hatred, has been denied entry by the Home Office.

Since last month, eight people are known to have been infected with the H5N1 strain of the avian influenza virus, of whom five have died. Strangely, the UN Food and Agriculture Organization has received no reports of H5N1 infection in birds from the Chinese Ministry of Agriculture. It could be that the Chinese government is hiding information about infections among poultry.

If that is the case, sporadic cases of people infected with bird flu in various provinces of China may only be the tip of the iceberg.

Recently, 21 dead birds were found washed ashore on Hong Kong’s Lantau Island. The birds were believed to have come from the Pearl River Delta — the origin of H5N1 avian influenza — which has the highest density of poultry farming in the world.

The fact that three of the birds have tested positive for H5N1 tends to confirm suspicions that China is hiding information about bird flu cases.

Research published in the New England Journal of Medicine shows that during the past two years, resistance of H1N1 and H5N1 to the drug Oseltamivir — marketed as Tamiflu — has increased sharply, indicating that the H5N1 bird flu virus has mutated and adapted. These scientific data suggest that a nightmare — the outbreak of a new flu strain among humans — will soon be upon us.

China may be able to conceal the spread of H5N1 from public view, but people in Taiwan, being such close neighbors of China, cannot afford to ignore the approaching nightmare, because H5N1 bird flu can cross national borders at any time.

Elite members of the World Economic Forum (WEF) meeting in Davos, Switzerland, recently considered a proposal for a new global television network to usher in a state of “global governance.”

The media proposal, which was included in “The Global Agenda 2009” report, is to create “a new global network” with “the capacity to connect the world, bridging cultures and peoples, and telling us who we are and what we mean to each other.” Several prominent U.S. media figures signed on to the alarming and controversial proposal.

This proposal doesn’t come from a fringe organization. The WEF is an exclusive club of very rich and powerful people from around the world. It describes itself as “an independent international organization committed to improving the state of the world by engaging leaders in partnerships to shape global, regional and industry agendas.”

Japanese Company Orders Families Home Over Pandemic Possibility

Panasonic to fly home workers' families over bird flu fears

TOKYO (AFP) — Panasonic Corp. has ordered Japanese employees in some foreign countries to send their families home to Japan in preparation for a possible bird flu pandemic, a spokesman said Tuesday.

Family members of Japanese employees in parts of Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Russia, former Soviet states and Latin America will fly back to Japan by the end of September, Panasonic spokesman Akira Kadota said.

The firm decided to take the rare measure "well ahead of possible confusion at the outbreak of a global pandemic," he said.

Eight people have contracted the H5N1 bird flu virus in China alone this year -- five of whom died.

"The bird flu cases reported so far are infections from bird to human, but once an infection between human beings is reported, things can get chaotic with many other companies trying to bring back their employees," Kadota said.

"We wanted to take action early before it gets difficult to book flight tickets," he said.

Panasonic said last week it was cutting 15,000 jobs and closing dozens of plants worldwide as it braces to fall deep in the red due to the global economic crisis.

Schools Indoctrinating Children to Push Global Warming Agenda
The students are taking part in what's called "National Green Week," organized by the Green Education Foundation. Schools across the country are encouraged to teach children about recycling, global warming and carbon footprints.

Many school districts across the country are now offering teacher's lesson plans on environmental issues. Students in Los Angeles, Ohio and Texas are all practicing waste reduction in the classroom.

She said for these kids, the lessons will last much longer than just the seven days of National Green Week because teachers talk about environmental issues all year long.

Several parents at the elementary school say they support the program and have learned "green" measures from their children. They've even formed a "green team" to educate other parents and children about their environmental concerns..

Education, per se, in any schools, private or public, no longer exists. Gordon Brown’s ‘environment tsar’ is calling for limits on how many plane journeys travellers can take each year.

He said the Government should urgently consider imposing individual restrictions to help reduce pollution caused by planes.

Lord Turner, chairman of Parliament’s climate change committee, said: ‘We will have to constrain demand in an absolute sense, with people not allowed to make as many journeys as they could in an unconstrained manner.’

THERE ARE NOW TWO PARTIES in the religious world. The party everywhere apparent has a faith fashioned for the present century – perhaps we ought rather to say, for the present month. It derides the 16th century Gospel and that, indeed, of every period, except the present most enlightened era. It will have no creed because it can have none; it is continually on the move; it is not what it was yesterday, and it will not be tomorrow what it is today. Its shout is for "Liberty"; its delight is invention; its element is change. On the other hand, there still survive, amid the blaze of 19th century light, a few whom these superior persons call "Fossils"; that is to say, there are believers in the Lord Jesus Christ who consider that the true Gospel is no new gospel, but is the same yesterday, today and forever.
