"And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not
partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues."
Martial arts. Generally speaking most beginning participants would think that the physical and/or mental aspects can be separated from the under-lie-ing philosophy. This is just not the case though any more than the practice of Yoga can be separated from the religion of Hinduism. Yoga is Hinduism. The fruit of a tree can never be disassociated from the root. Just like yoga, the very act of practicing martial arts is practicing ancient Eastern mysticism/spiritualism. A 'spiritual practice' means exactly that - it means there is a spirit behind it that truly is inseparable. And while there are many different forms of martial arts, thay all derive from this one and same spirit. And what that spirit is is not hard to identify. Same spirit as yoga, and all false religions. That spirit is "that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world" [Rev. 12:9] -- elsewhere identified as "the piercing serpent - that Leviathan" [Isa. 27:1]. Doing martial arts is to enter into union with 'the serpent' [see below image]. This is a very real thing not to be dismissed as inconsequential. On that point interesting to note the very name 'martial arts' derives from the supposed mythological Roman god - little 'g' - Mars.. the 'god of War'. The gods of the people are devils. Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils [1 Cor. 10:21]..

..the caduceus - another snaky-serpent symbol - this one is interesting.. i believe it originates from jewish biblical history and is rooted in their kabbalah-talmud mysticism. Don't know if you know anything about the OT of the bible but in the Book of Numbers (4th book of the bible documenting the Israelites 40-yr wandering the wilderness) an interesting account is given revealing the origination of the serpent on a pole: Numbers 21:4-9. Too much to detail in a comment but briefly there was a point when the Israelites spoke against God and Moses, and the bible says the LORD sent 'fiery serpents' among them that bit many and they died. (21:6); long story short they prayed for mercy, the LORD told Moses (21:8) "Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live"; and next (21:9) we read when any that were bitten "beheld the serpent of brass, he lived" --- About this the serpent-on-pole of course had no magical power to heal - the meaning was to typify or prefigure the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and to illustrate that salvation would not be by anything man can do but only by "looking to" what Jesus Christ did -- i.e. by faith [John 3:14].
The blind hardened obstinate to-this-day jews did not get the message though. They did not understand God healed the snake-bitten people not the piece of metal made into a serpent. Later in the OT - book of 2nd Kings vs. 18:4 - this was approximately 700 years later - we read that the jews still had the serpent-pole and were worshiping it - says [2Kings 18:4] "for unto those days [they] did burn incense to it". They had made it into an idol meaning they were ascribing magical powers to the serpent-pole. 700 years later!
The jews never give up their mystic ways, even when they are scattered. 70AD Jerusalem was destroyed by the Romans and the jews were scattered, eventually to all the world over the centuries that followed. They took their kabbalah-talmud beliefs with them permeating ancient cultures - including the spread of the caduceus-symbol. Researching it a person will find that the supposed explanation of the meanings of the symbol are wild and varied, but basically they all come back to the same thing - symbolizes the 'enlightenment of man' i.e essentially the 'transformation of man to godhood', etc.. (note also reason it eventually used as a symbol for the medical industry - because since it healed snake bites it has "magical healing powers")
But we know of course that the symbol has no power at all (just as it had none at the first w the jews in the wilderness), but like every other 'secret occult' thing is just a ruse to get people to interact with the spirit world - so to interact with familiar spirits looking to possess vessels. Ultimately just another satanic serpent-worship symbol

It is of the utmost importance for the Christian reader to bear in mind that, whatever be the condition of the professing Church, it is his privilege to enjoy as high communion and to tread as high a path of individual devotedness as ever was known in the very brightest days of the Church's history. We must never draw a plea from the condition of things around us for lowering the standard of individual holiness and devotedness. There is no excuse for continuing a single hour in connection with anything that will not stand the test of Holy Scripture.

How would you explain/describe the caduceus?
