VERY BRIEFLY - Here, in action, is seen an example of how 'climate change' propaganda is being used as a pretext to strongarm control over every activity on the planet. In this case, to enter into and begin the organization of the one world government system at the lowest levels of society - i.e. villages and communities, anywhere on the globe. Have You Been Born Twice?

As brought to the fore by a certain commenter (see comments) who goes by the name Theophilus, the Spurgeon quote below is being reposted because of the seriousness of the subject, i.e. being born twice, or 'again'. Very important to have a correct understanding of this most important truth. For that reason, it is hoped that reposting this with the added comment just below and the reader comments would be an overall help:

The word 'again', in the original Greek, is 'anothen' (an'-o-then), meaning literally 'from above'. To speak of being 'born twice' then, is to speak of a second birth experience which comes 'from above', or even more specifically, an altogether new experience which is nothing less than to actually be 'born...of God' (John 1:13). Truly, a man can have nothing more to do with taking credit for his natural birth, then to take any credit for a second 'supernatural' birth. A/H1N1 flu spreads at "unbelievable" speed: WHO

PARIS, Aug. 29 (Xinhua) -- A/H1N1 flu is spreading at an "unbelievable" speed, with "a very severe form of disease" attacking the lungs of healthy young people, the World Health Organization (WHO) has warned in an interview published by French daily Le Monde on Saturday. [8-29-09]

"Sixty percent of the deaths cover those who have underlying health problems," Director-general of the WHO Margaret Chan said, adding that the remaining 40 percent of the deaths are young adults in good health, "who die of a vital fever in five to seven days."

The WHO announced in a statement that the A/H1N1 pandemic virus is now the dominant influenza strain around the world.

"All governments must prepare for the worst," Chan stressed, adding that intensive healthcare services were required.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Rhode Island will shut down its state government for 12 days and trim millions of dollars in funding for local governments under a plan Gov. Don Carcieri proposed Monday to balance a budget hammered by surging unemployment and plummeting tax revenue.

At least 19 other state governments have proposed furloughing workers or shutting down government offices to save money amid the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression, according to a survey by the National Conference of State Legislatures.

What is really going on here? The answer is...'going global'. While this is, of course, a massive undertaking, the basic strategy unfolding here is not difficult to understand. What you are seeing is a simple case of 'out with the old' - i.e. state government, and 'in with the new - i.e. the communitarian model of world government. This is that, and while the government shutdown in Rhode Island is at this time still a proposal, nevertheless, as the song and dance is the same in at least 19 other states, the agenda is now reaching the critical stages.

US Evangelical Lutherans accept 'committed' gay clergy afp

WASHINGTON — A US Evangelical Lutheran church has opted to allow gays and lesbians in "committed" relationships to serve in its clergy, in a controversial decision that could divide its 4.6 million US members.

The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), which has 10,000 congregations throughout the United States, voted Friday evening on a contentious text authorizing homosexuals in committed relationships to join the clergy.

After passionate debate, church delegates voted 559 to 451 "to open the ministry of the church to gay and lesbian pastors and other professional workers living in committed relationships," said church information director John Brook.

The text approved by the church does not make specific mention of same-sex marriage, but it provides that congregations who choose to may "recognize, support and hold publicly accountable life-long, monogamous, same-gender relationships."

For supporters of the decision, including Bishop Gary Wollersheim of the ECLA Northern Illinois Synod, it is simply a case of doing the right thing.

Australian Society Says Hold Off On the Vaccinations

Health Minister Nicola Roxon yesterday announced that the Government would start deploying its first batch of swine-flu vaccine in coming weeks, with an aim to vaccinate as many people as possible to prevent further spread of the virus.

But in a letter sent to Commonwealth Chief Medical Officer Jim Bishop, the Australasian Society for Infectious Diseases expresses deep concern about CSL's use of multi-dose vials for the vaccine and urged the Government to abandon its plan until it had single-dose vials.

''Many members are concerned that there is a risk of adverse outcomes if a mass vaccination campaign was conducted using multi-dose vials,'' the letter says. It adds that it would be difficult to guarantee proper procedures were followed in hospitals, ''let alone clinics and general-practice units in the community, where there may be a lesser safeguarding of the necessary safe infection-control practices''.

Spokeswoman Dr Rachel David said it would take ''many, many more months'' to produce single-dose vials and that another multi-dose vial flu vaccine it exports to the US had been used safely for the last three years. ''If multi-dose vials are used correctly there is no increased risk,'' she said.

Big Brother Piecing Together Control Grid: $1.2 Billion For Electronic Health Records

U.S. grants $1.2 billion for electronic health records

CHICAGO (Reuters) - The U.S. government announced grants of almost $1.2 billion on Thursday to help hospitals and health care providers establish and use electronic health records.

The grants include $598 million to set up some 70 health information technology centers to help health care institutions acquire electronic health record systems and $564 million to develop a nationwide system of health information networks, Vice President Joe Biden's office said in a statement.

National Coordinator for Health IT David Blumenthal said these funds will likely be granted in three cycles over the course of 2010. Blumenthal, who was also on the call taking questions, said he did not know what hospitals or physician groups would seek government funds, but expects those that have been at the forefront of using technology to apply.

The grants will be funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 and be made available in 2010, the statement said.

Aug. 20 (Bloomberg) -- Mass vaccination against swine flu may begin in Australia within a month, health officials said, heralding one of the world’s biggest public health exercises.

Other governments plan to follow within months to stem swine flu, which has taken root across the globe faster than any previous influenza pandemic.

“It’s absolutely the right thing to do, no question,” Lorena Brown, professor of microbiology and immunology at the University of Melbourne, said in a telephone interview. .

The Australian government has ordered 21 million doses of vaccine from CSL, the South Hemisphere’s only flu-vaccine maker. The remainder of the order will arrive in coming months, Roxon said.

U.S. 'Pay Czar' Claims Binding Authority Over Executive Compensation

MARTHA'S VINEYARD, MASSACHUSETTS (Reuters) - Kenneth Feinberg, the Obama administration's pay czar, said on Sunday he has broad and "binding" authority over executive compensation, including the ability to "claw back" money already paid, and he is weighing how and whether to use that power.

Feinberg has been consulting with seven companies that have yet to pay back money they borrowed from the government, including Citi, American International Group Inc, Bank of America Corp, Chrysler Financial, Chrysler Group LLC, General Motors Co and GMAC Inc.

He also said he has the authority to use a "clawback" provision to go after compensation for executives from any company that received money from the U.S. Treasury's Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP).

"I have the discretion, conferred upon by Congress, to attempt to recover compensation that has already been paid to executives not only in these companies, but in any company that received federal assistance," Feinberg said during his remarks

"The statute provides these guideposts, but the statute ultimately says I have discretion to decide what it is that these people should make and that my determination will be final," Feinberg said.

"The officials can't run to the Secretary of Treasury. The officials can't run to the court house or a local court. My decision is final on those individuals," Feinberg added.

True to their word, the present 'occupiers' of the White House are moving forward with their pledge to repeal DOMA. With their 'defense' removed, each of the individual 50 states would then be forced to legally recognize a faux-homosexual marriage from any other state, regardless of the laws of that particular state. As stated just above, the ramifications of this action go far beyond just the issue of the 'faux-marriages'. Dissolving the sovereignty of state governments is the ultimate goal, absolutely necessary, of course, for the deconstruction of the elective-representative American system of democracy which is now being systematically replaced by the communitarian model of world government, aka dictatorship. Colonial Bank looks set to become the sixth largest bank failure in corporate history after a federal judge ordered a freeze of its assets Friday.

The Montgomery, Alabama bank, has 355 branches throughout Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Nevada, and Texas, and has about $25 billion in assets.

Pentagon Seeking Authority To Militarize U.S.

Pentagon Wants Authority to Post Almost 400,000 Military Personnel in U.S. progressive.com

The Pentagon has approached Congress to grant the Secretary of Defense the authority to post almost 400,000 military personnel throughout the United States in times of emergency or a major disaster.

In June, the U.S. Northern Command distributed a “Congressional Fact Sheet” entitled “Legislative Proposal for Activation of Federal Reserve Forces for Disasters.” That proposal would amend current law, thereby “authorizing the Secretary of Defense to order any unit or member of the Army Reserve, Air Force Reserve, Navy Reserve, and the Marine Corps Reserve, to active duty for a major disaster or emergency.”

Taken together, these reserve units would amount to “more than 379,000 military personnel in thousands of communities across the United States,” explained Paul Stockton, Assistant Secretary of Defense for Homeland Defense and America’s Security Affairs, in a letter to the National Governors Association, dated July 20.

But NorthCom’s Congressional fact sheet refers not just to a “major disaster” but also to “emergencies.” And it says, “Those terms are defined in section 5122 of title 42, U.S. Code.”

That section gives the President the sole discretion to designate an event as an “emergency” or a “major disaster.” Both are “in the determination of the President” alone.

That section also defines “major disaster” by citing plenty of specifics: “hurricane, tornado, storm, high water, wind-driven water, tidal wave, tsunami, earthquake, volcanic eruption, landslide, mudslide, snowstorm, or drought,” as well as “fire, flood, or explosion.”

At the moment, says Pentagon spokesperson Belk, the legislation does not have a sponsor in the House or the Senate.
