Europe to ban hundreds of herbal remedies

Hundreds of herbal medicinal products will be banned from sale in Britain next year under what campaigners say is a "discriminatory and disproportionate" European law.

With four months to go before the EU-wide ban is implemented, thousands of patients face the loss of herbal remedies that have been used in the UK for decades.

From 1 May 2011, traditional herbal medicinal products must be licensed or prescribed by a registered herbal practitioner to comply with an EU directive passed in 2004. The directive was introduced in response to rising concern over adverse effects caused by herbal medicines.

Herbal practitioners say it is impossible for most herbal medicines to meet the licensing requirements for safety and quality, which are intended to be similar to those for pharmaceutical drugs, because of the cost of testing.

According to the Alliance for Natural Health (ANH), which represents herbal practitioners, not a single product used in traditional Chinese medicine or ayurvedic medicine has been licensed. In Europe, around 200 products from 27 plant species have been licensed but there are 300 plant species in use in the UK alone.

The ANH estimates the cost of obtaining a licence at between £80,000 and £120,000 [$125,000-$187,000] per herb. They say this is affordable for single herbal products with big markets, such as echinacea, a remedy for colds and flu, but will drive small producers of medicines containing multiple herbs out of business.

Food safety bill invokes Codex harmonization and grants FDA authority to police food safety of foreign nations

The more you read from this bill, the more surreal it all becomes. For example, did you know there's a global FDA power grab agenda hidden in the Food Safety Modernization Act? Keep reading and I'll quote text straight out of the bill itself.

Section 305 is entitled "BUILDING CAPACITY OF FOREIGN GOVERNMENTS WITH RESPECT TO FOOD SAFETY" and it gives the FDA authority to set up offices in foreign countries and then dictate the food safety plans of foreign governments. It says, specifically, on page 217 of the bill (http://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/BILLS-...):

So who is involved in creating this? Believe it or not, the global "food safety" plan is to be developed under consultation to the Department of Homeland Security as well as the U.S. Treasury.

So what does this global food safety plan actually entail? [for example:]

• "Provisions for secure electronic data sharing."
• "Training of foreign governments and food producers on United States requirements for safe food."
• "Recommendations on whether and how to harmonize requirements under the Codex Alimentarius."*

*This is included so that the FDA will "harmonize" the U.S. food and dietary supplement industries with global Codex requirements which outlaw virtually all healthy doses of vitamins and minerals. Under full Codex "harmonization," America will be left with a dead food supply and the health food stores will be virtually stripped bare of dietary supplements.

The bill was shelved for a year, passed back and forth between the Senate and Congress the last two months or so, and then slipped into an entirely separate bill as an amendment three weeks ago [here] and rammed through the lame duck Congress for last-minute final passage. Although Hawaii's newly elected Democrat governor, Neil Abercrombie, has recently given a flurry of high-profile media interviews condemning "birthers" who question Barack Obama's constitutional eligibility to occupy the Oval Office, suddenly he is declining to answer a few hard questions.

He has, in just recent days, expressed his disdain toward "birthers" in the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, the Chicago Tribune, on CNN, as well as the local Star Advertiser and Hawaii News Now.

But this week, in e-mails from his press secretary, Abercrombie refused to be interviewed by WND.

Although he has acknowledged he was not present at the still-unidentified hospital in Honolulu to witness Obama's birth, Abercrombie long has claimed he socialized with Barack Obama Sr. and Ann Dunham Obama when Barack Obama Jr. was yet a baby.

The problem with Abercrombie’s testimony is that Barack Obama Sr. and his wife, Ann Dunham, did not live together as man and wife with their baby son as Abercrombie claims to have witnessed.

Just last year, Abercrombie played a role in another Obama birth controversy when he read a letter at a Kapi'olani Medical Center centennial dinner in Honolulu that supposedly was authored by President Obama, claiming Kapi'olani as his birth hospital.

As WND reported, the letter read by Abercrombie and initially displayed on the Kapi'olani website turned out to be a computer-created likeness of a letter using HTML code, the building blocks of Internet websites, not an actual paper letter.

When pressed on the matter, Kapi'olani officials eventually sent WND a photograph of a paper letter purportedly written by Obama, though the White House has still not confirmed its authenticity or content. Hospital officials told WND they "know" the letter must be from Obama because it was brought to them by then-Congressman Abercrombie.

During his gubernatorial campaign, Abercrombie blasted WND for publishing a report that Abercrombie was listed as a member of the U.S.-based Marxist-oriented Democratic Socialists of America.

Obamacare "Death Panel" Clause Resurrected In New Medicare Regulation; Begins 1-1-11

End-of-Life Plan That Caused Stir Begins Jan 1, 2011

WASHINGTON — When a proposal to encourage end-of-life planning touched off a political storm over “death panels,” Democrats dropped it from legislation to overhaul the health care system. But the Obama administration will achieve the same goal by regulation, starting Jan. 1.

Under the new policy, outlined in a Medicare regulation, the government will pay doctors who advise patients on options for end-of-life care, which may include advance directives to forgo aggressive life-sustaining treatment.

The final version of the health care legislation, signed into law by President Obama in March, authorized Medicare coverage of yearly physical examinations, or wellness visits*. The new rule says Medicare will cover “voluntary advance care planning,” to discuss end-of-life treatment, as part of the annual visit.

Under the rule, doctors can provide information to patients on how to prepare an “advance directive,” stating how aggressively they wish to be treated if they are so sick that they cannot make health care decisions for themselves.

The proposal for Medicare coverage of advance care planning was omitted from the final health care bill because of the uproar over unsubstantiated claims that it would encourage euthanasia.

The new policy is included in a huge Medicare regulation setting payment rates for thousands of services including arthroscopy, mastectomy and X-rays.

For example, Dr. Silveira said, she might ask a person with heart disease, “If you have another heart attack and your heart stops beating, would you want us to try to restart it?” A patient dying of emphysema might be asked, “Do you want to go on a breathing machine for the rest of your life?” And, she said, a patient with incurable cancer might be asked, “When the time comes, do you want us to use technology to try and delay your death?”

Two Christmas holiday 'earthquakes' and two sets of very strange circumstances:

Suspicious acts before 7.3 Christmas quake terrorizes Vanuatu people

Only several weeks before the 7.3 earthquake hit the South Pacific Island, Vanuatu on Christmas Day, terrorizing locals, all of its seismic monitoring equipment had been stolen, leaving no way to monitor earthquakes in the vicinity of the Port Vila city, no means to warn of tsunami triggers, and less means to determine if the U.S. military is to blame due to testing environmental warfare technology.

Many people attribute the surge in earthquakes and other "natural disasters" to God's work. Others recognize that these disasters can be attributed to military technology applied in a war against the world.

New Zealand's Christchurch hit by strong aftershocks

The most powerful tremor was 4.9 magnitude and its impact was magnified by its proximity to the city centre...It struck at 1030 (2130 Saturday GMT) within 5km (three miles) of Christchurch at a depth of 12km, said GNS Science monitoring agency...Shop fronts were shattered and in some places masonry could be seen littering the streets.

"To witness that first hand, it really scared the living daylights out of me," one witness told reporters. "Buildings were exploding, and I thought it was glass but it was rock!"

One resident, Roger Cleave, who owns a music shop, said the latest shocks did more damage than September's quake..."When we had the [earthquake in September] we had very little damage to stock. I think only one guitar fell off the wall and a couple of other items fell over. But this one was a lot more violent and a lot more stuff has fallen off."

Vanuatu seismic equipment disappears very recently leaving no way to monitor what happened, and a very interesting statement by a New Zealand eyewitness who reported of the latest Christchurch 'quake' that "buildings were exploding" and rocks were flying, while another is quoted as saying "this one was a lot more violent" than the much larger 7.4 quake of almost four months ago [here].

Interesting to note also, as was brought out after that last major Christchurch quake [9-3-10], is that although there is no active fault in the Christchurch area [here], both this and the big one four months ago are said to have epi-centered very close to the city - approx. 30 km/18 miles last time, and 5 km/3 miles this time. The close proximity is said to have "magnified" the force of this one.

There is no fault there, but somehow the force was "magnified" we are told, which presumably is to be understood as the reason for the tremendously violent impact of the reported 4.9 quake. Whose 'fault' is it then? Is there any relation to 'buildings exploding' as reported by eyewitnesses in New Zealand, and "environmental warfare technology", as described in the Vanuatu article above?

US to step up security at hotels and malls

The United States is stepping up security at "soft targets" like hotels and shopping malls, as well as trains and ports, as it counters the evolving Al-Qaeda threat, a top official said Sunday.

A year after a foiled plot to bomb a US-bound passenger plane, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano told CNN's "State of the Union" program that other places and modes of transportation must now be scrutinized.

"We look at so-called soft targets -- the hotels, shopping malls, for example -- all of which we have reached out to in the past year and have done a fair amount of training for their own employees," Napolitano said.

"And so we have enhanced measures going on at surface transportation, not because we have a specific or credible threat there, but because we know, looking at Madrid and London, that's been another source of targets for terrorists."

Sweden’s brush with terror after a suicide bomber on Dec. 11 detonated himself before executing a planned strike in central Stockholm has eroded lawmaker resistance to pushing through tougher surveillance laws.

“Routines will be sharpened and that’s something we will all have to accept,” said Bo Huldt, a professor in security policy at the Stockholm-based National Defense College, in a Dec. 13 interview. “It may mean restrictions for us all regarding where we can move around, how many people can attend meetings or gatherings and more police presence at meetings.”

While being heavily downplayed in the mainstream propaganda sources as making relatively small gains, what just went down during the last two weeks in Cancun Mexico was tremendously significant. In terms of garnering an agreement which will allow the global-government green-agenda to be officially put into motion, the UNFCC was a resounding success. More than 190 countries signed the "Cancun Agreement", with Bolivia being the sole exception, interestingly enough claiming that it was "totally inadequate", i.e. not good enough.

The most important thing to note is the fact that the governments of the world have now for the first time ever just agreed 'officially' that the 'go-green' scam is real: "it is one of the greatest challenges of our times" said they. That alone is an amazing thing and reveals the tremendous amount of control world-wide that the self-appointed would-be global overlords have achieved. The governments of the world are now obeying their dictates.

In light of that 'acknowledgment' that so-called climate-change is real...a "paradigm shift" must occur, say they. A 'paradigm shift' means a radical foundational change in every aspect of society. Also agreed to is that 'deep carbon cuts' must be instituted across the board.

'Paradigm shifting' and 'deep carbon cuts translated from globalspeak into English would read something along these lines...'you will have to make due with wind and solar power on your plantations, peons' [see: Back To The Farms, Says Gore].

And the fourth of the key things officially agreed to is that...'the poor countries should be helped'. This is more globalspeak and should be translated as..."forcing the new global regulatory-system upon the so-called '3rd-world' nations".

With this signed agreement, the 'green-door' has been blown wide open to begin implementation on the 'international level' of every aspect of the global micro-management system disguised as environmental salvation. Swedes shocked by 1st terror attack in 3 decades

STOCKHOLM — No one died except for the suspected bomber, but two explosions in Sweden's capital tore at the fabric of this tolerant and open nation — a society that hadn't seen a terrorist attack in more than three decades.

Two people were wounded in central Stockholm on Saturday in what appeared to be the first suicide bombing in the history of Sweden, which has been spared the major terrorist strikes seen in several other European countries.

A car exploded in the middle of the seasonal shopping frenzy, shooting flames and causing several smaller blasts as people ran screaming from the scene. The blast that killed the alleged bomber came moments later further a few blocks away from the car explosion on a busy pedestrian street.

Experts said the alleged bomber probably didn't succeed in detonating all the explosives and could have caused much greater damage.

But peaceful quiet Sweden must also be brought into the morphing 'global security' system. And so right on cue - an incident. And as a result of it's first ever 'suicide bomber'; although the 'blamed-bomber' no longer exists - if there really was one, and as the 'fabric of the country is torn' - so convenient on both points; the 'global-security-monster' is guaranteed to get a jumpstart way up north in the land of the Swedes.

But the NWO Bureau of Propaganda always plans their moves so as to get the most 'bang' for their buck and that is what they have done here. With little fanfare or news coverage, the four sexual coercion lawsuits confronting Bishop Eddie Long had the first hearing recently, with both sides opting for mediation to avoid a trial.

Granted, if the future mediation in February does not solve the dispute, there is a tentative trial date set for July 11, 2011. This could still end up being resolved in a courtroom.

Mediation of sexual allegation grievances is tantamount to an admission of "some" guilt, "some" form of ministerial misconduct. Innocent folk don't make deals if the claims against them are baseless and untrue. Mediation for the accused is a forfeiture of the right to ever claim innocence, and readers should be absolutely clear on this point.

Either he is innocent or guilty, (the truth) including, yet not limited to the specific accusations. He's never acted as such (innocent) and should be held accountable. He is completely innocent or he is guilty of all sorts of crimes in the court of public opinion, above and beyond sexual coercion. This question remains, irrespective of whether the allegations eventually make their way into a courtroom.

Nevertheless, Long is essentially off-the-hook if the February mediation is successful and the 'accusers' are sworn to silence. Long remains in pulpit (and on TBN) as an accused homosexual. The "questions remain". Members of his church are then forced to turn a blind eye and continue as if everything is just fine. Go Eddie.

The intelligent-design behind the scam is here evident. With the questions remaining, and everyone and their mother chiming in with their personal viewpoints and opinions, the 'Hegelian dialectic' can work it's dark magic to break down biblical truth and replace it with 'homosexual tolerance'. Love, forgiveness, understanding, we don't really know anyway, maybe it's okay, who are you to judge, we should agree to disagree, etc..

This dialectic exercise will in no way be confined to Long's Georgia megachurch alone. The 'question' has already infected the entire 'Christian' so-called world, and the 'tolerators' are actively promoting the scandal with their own positive spin. Case in point is Long's recent 'cover-boy' appearance on the November/December issue of 'Gospel Today' where they gave the Long 'question' a quote "biblical perspective":

Obviously their "BIBLICAL perspective" provided them with enough 'sound judgment' to promote the mediating unable to ever plead innocent accused-homosexual on the cover of their magazine.
