One of the major players in shutting down questionable advertising on Craigslist thinks authorities need to focus on more than just that one website to combat sex trafficking in the U.S.
Under pressure from the general public and 18 attorneys general, Craigslist has closed down its adult services section, which was often used to advertise prostitutes and sex-trafficking victims. The section has been taken down and covered with the word "censored" for locations in the United States.
"This will be a victory only if those attorneys general that pressed Craigslist continue to press other companies that are involved in sexual trafficking and hardcore pornography on their website," Trueman contends.
He concludes there now needs to be a full-court press on all similar sites.

re: "censored"
Of course, nobody could ever possibly defend the 'billion-dollar porn' and "sex-trafficking" industries, which is why the internet censorship precedent is being set here.
Perfect. And so the precedent has been set, and very predictably, is being immediately followed by a call to expand the reach. Give it a little more time and it won't be just the hardcore porn-purveyors, but the call will be to add 'terrorism inciters'...and 'anti-Islamer's'...and 'anti-homosexual hate speechers'...and 'global-warming questioners'...and so forth...to the list of things that need to be silenced.
It's on.
