Being gracious and non-judgmental is fine i...Anon,

Being gracious and non-judgmental is fine in many instances, but with regard to false teaching of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ - that is not one of those instances. The fact is that the Word of God condemns those who do teach false doctrine in the strongest possible language. The apostle Paul in the first chapter of the book of Galatians, under the inspiration of the Holy Ghost, even included himself and angels from heaven (v.8) in warning the body of Christ about those who would "pervert the gospel of Christ" (v.7) by preaching "any other gospel" - stating unequivocally that they are to be accursed (v.8) - and, to make sure that the force of those words was not missed, repeated himself (v.9):

Gal. 1:6 ' I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:

7. 'Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.

8. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

9. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

That's "any" man who preaches "any" other gospel - let him be accursed, says the Word of God.

Cordeiro's "Dream Releasers" teaching, as the article details, is not even remotely close to the true "gospel of Christ"

It clearly falls into the "any other gospel - which is not another" category described in Galatians 1:6-9, which is the reason for the warning against it.

The issue is critical. No passes can be given to any 'teachers' who alter the "word of life" - Phil 2:16

On the subject of 'false teachers', one more thing. You say that you do not know too much about Christian doctrine but that you are a seminary student. Well, unfortunately, seminaries today may be the absolute worst place to go to learn true Christian doctrine. You may not understand that, or know if it is true, or believe it.

The fact is though that seminaries today are chock full of false teaching. Another will tell you the opposite. Take it for what it's worth - but the strong suggestion here is: be extremely leery...even if an 'angel' is teaching.

Rev. 18:4
tom m.https://www.blogger.com/profile/15599745604750315747noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5190850745642630460.post-78124682987708768042014-01-24T11:16:09.283-10:002014-01-24T11:16:09.283-10:00I understand your concerns and I believe everyone ...I understand your concerns and I believe everyone needs to test what they read or learn but to call sometime a false teacher or say that what they put out is a false teaching is like casting the first stone. I do not know much about Christian Doctrine but I do know this, not everything anyone will say will be 100% accurate infact about 20% of it could be wrong due to how easy it is to publish information today. I am a Semonary student that believes if GOD needs to he will revel it to who he must. I myself will take the time to use the Bible interp. skills I have learned in school and the guidance of The Lord to discern the truth for me. Never heard of most of these ...You're welcome. Never heard of most of these pastors until I found the info at the blog I previously mentioned, so can't comment. However, from watching the 'revival' for the past 2 nights, I can definitely say that even though the gospel was VERY briefly presented, this is not true revival. Sadly I must honestly say it is more like entertainment, appealing to the flesh. True revival needs God's WORD to be clearly preached so sin is exposed and God can move upon hearts to cause 'godly sorrow that brings repentance that leads to
(true)salvation.' (2 Corin. 7:10)

With all the laughter that goes on at that 'revival,' the verse that came to mind, was...
"Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom." (James 4:8,9)

I did notice the 'revival' is conveniently close to the E R, but haven't had enough time to even think beyond that. Yes, seems almost diabolically 'dialectic!'

Thank you for prayerfully considering writing about it. This world is becoming increasingly spiritually dark, and we must continue to 'shine like stars' with the truth of God's Word.

"...become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe as you hold out the word of life--in order that I may boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor for nothing."
(Philippians 2:14-16)Concerned And Prayingnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5190850745642630460.post-10182657260962738732012-01-12T12:35:10.790-10:002012-01-12T12:35:10.790-10:00concerned and praying,

Biblical truth is being replaced with man's ideas, and mystical deceptions of many kinds!

Just wanted to make you aware of a "revival" beginning tonight at 'Elevation Church' in North Carolina. Prayerfully consider watching and sharing your discerning thoughts on your blog. I am SURE you will get many new readers. We need people such as yourself who have the desire to "earnestly contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints," to write about this in a way that glorifies God and points people to the truth that can only be found in God's Word.

Well written information about the pastors involved in this "revival" can be found here...

http://revelation22-20.blogspot.com/

And if you'd like to watch this "revival" as you pray for discernment, I copy/pasted info from 'Elevation Church's website below...

WILL THE CODE ORANGE REVIVAL BE STREAMED ONLINE?
Yes. The Code Orange Revival will be streamed live online for free each night starting at 6:12pm on weeknights, 4:12pm on Saturday, and 5:12pm on Sunday. I k...Thank you Tom for your very insightful reply. I know about the soon coming one world religion, as well as the 'Hegelian Dialectic Process,' but never thought of that possibility with the 'E R.' I guess I was hoping my pastor was still standing for Biblical truth, and that he was going to use the E R to lovingly, but firmly confront those who were straying from Biblical truth. Or at least that's what I thought until I heard some of the 'conversations' in the E R, and was shocked into reality when Pastor James allowed Mark Driscoll and Steven Furtick to 'preach' at Harvest.

If T D Jakes is not confronted concerning his beliefs on the 'Trinity' at the upcoming 'E R Conference,' and if Biblical truth is not shared with him to expose his erroneous beliefs, then I will definitely be leaving Harvest. If so, this will be the third church I will be leaving. Since becoming a Christian, I hold God's Word as my standard for truth, and my hope is in Him. He will continue to be the 'anchor of my soul'and I will continue to stay 'firm and secure.'
(Hebrews 6:16-20)

Thank you, and God bless you and your ministry.CONCERNED AND PRAYINGnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5190850745642630460.post-56051084922585996022012-01-02T15:29:31.064-10:002012-01-02T15:29:31.064-10:00Concerned,
I know all too well how you feel watch...Concerned,

I know all too well how you feel watching everything slip away and seeing those who have been looked up to embracing the unbiblical (aka apostasy)...

Nothing good can come from this conference because it is all about compromise.

The "conversation" strategy is used to bring about a clash of opposing views, with the "moderator" then steering the opposing sides to a pre-planned compromise. It is the Hegelian dialectic.

The end result is always going to be a moving away from biblical Christianity. This is by design. The purpose is to transition Christianity into the coming global religion.

It was the Devil who first asked "Hath God said?" [Gen. 3:1]

It is very important to understand that it is impossible to maintain a strict biblical position as the "coversation" process continues because everybody has to 'give some ground' to stay in the so-called conversation. This again is by design. The only possible way to avoid giving up ground is to drop out of the conversation.

If you untie your boat from the biblical dock, it is going to drift away. The truth is that these 'church leaders' have already untied their boats and set sail.

As you pray, stay tied to the dock, no matter what, even if it means separation.
