Never heard of Steven L Anderson (the speaker) either. Turns out to be a 2-part sermon. Listened to the first only, not completely, but segments, enough to get an understanding of what is being said.

Noticed right away this statement right under the video: "Paul Wittenberger and Steven L Anderson have just finished filming their latest documentary MARCHING TO ZION. We are hoping to have this film out by December 2014". Full length documentary apparently. Underneath that it reveals that Paul Wittenberger is a producer with a Hollywood background. First red flag.

Seeing that, the next thing to do was to find the church website and look at their doctrinal statement. The speaker in the video, Steven Anderson, is the pastor. There were a number of statements. These two give all the information that is needed. They both contradict the Word of God:

*We reject the teaching of Calvinism and believe that God wants everyone to be saved.
*We believe that the rapture will take place after the tribulation but before God pours out his wrath on this earth. We reject dispensationalism.

Note: The use of the term Calvinism is actually a misdirection. It is a label that should be rejected. Calvin did not write the bible. The doctrine in question is the "doctrine of election". Much of the outward professing church today denies election. To do so is to preach a false gospel. To deny election, or what is wrongly labeled "Calvinism", is to deny the sovereignty of God. Second, denying the pre-trib rapture, and "rejecting" dispensationalism, and substituting a "pre-wrath" rapture. These things show where Anderson and Wittenberger are coming from, and more importantly where they are going. Without going into the debates here, these are false teachings - though many will argue otherwise. They are arguing against the God the Holy Spirit. And this is the thing, those who teach these things are not doing it by the Spirit of God, for no lie is of the truth - 1John 2:21. Denying election and putting the 'bride of Christ' into the tribulation are teachings that come only from "another spirit".

As for the video itself, most of it was about the Jews and the Talmud, Kabbalah, and Shekinah. These things are important to understand, and it may be possible to listen and glean some info about it, but the problem is that the "another spirit" pervades through the whole teaching. Too much to untangle here, but there were at least a few statements made indicating a lack of true understanding of the Word of God. Whether that is intentional or unintentional...that is another question.

1John 4:1 says "try the spirits whether they are of God" Question: Do you sense the "peace of God" (Col. 3:15) when watching this speaker?

Bottom line here is that Anderson-Wittenberger have an agenda, as evidenced by their coming Hollywood-affiliated documentary. While 'revealing' things about the "Jews and Their Lies" e.g. the Talmud, etc., they are then taking their hearers in the wrong direction. False doctrine is always going in the wrong direction.

When that documentary comes out, it will be easy to see exactly where that wrong direction is. Hint: strong-delusion

Might have to follow up on it in December. Final assessment: cannot recommend.

Rev. 18:4
tom m.https://www.blogger.com/profile/15599745604750315747noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5190850745642630460.post-75428116537380628632014-07-28T08:19:10.763-10:002014-07-28T08:19:10.763-10:00Someone shared this sermon with me. Funny thing ab...They are all dispensationalists...

Funny thing about those who rail against "dispensationalism" is that none of these will deny a distinction between 'law' and 'grace' - but in making that distinction - they have themselves become dispensationalists. Right there they admit of two dispensations. The only real question remaining then is not whether dispensationalism is true or not, but how many dispensations are there. Generally most 'modern dispensationalists' consider there to be three what they call 'major' dispensations, while the classic view, if you will, forwarded by Darby and Scofield but not originated by either of them, count seven. On these subjects and for a good general overview of dispensationalism here is a link to an article by noted dispensational author John Walvoord: Biblical Dispensations

quote from article: "The widespread prejudice and ignorance of the meaning of dispensationalism was illustrated when I was asked by a prominent Christian publication to write an article on dispensational premillennialism. In my manuscript I referred to The Divine Economy, written in 1687, in which the author, Pierre Poiret (1646-1719), discussed seven dispensations.4 The editor omitted this from the manuscript, and when I protested, he said, “That is impossible because John Nelson Darby invented dispensationalism.” It would be difficult to find a statement more ignorant and more prejudicial that that."

There are some other references listed in the article also. One is a notable work on dispensationalism by Charles Ryrie which Walvoord recommends highly. I've not read the book but do believe that it might be a useful study. The bottom line with any commentaries is to understand that these are the works of men, and men are not our teacher, but God the Holy Spirit is our teacher John 14:26; 1John 2:27. Seek humbly to to be taught of Him (Ps. 119:18), study the Word, and use the 'helps'. On a side note while on that topic, to touch on just one of the names you mentioned, the works of A.C. Gaebelein have been of much profit to me. Not perfect, only God's Word meets that standard, but very profitable.

Here is a couple of invaluable resources. All written by authors of the past, and all from a dispensational view - with a vast amount of material. Have to sort through it but there is a wealth of very good 'helps' for overall bible study:

Stempublishing

Plymouth Brrethern Hall Of Fame

Some favorites are C.H.Macintosh, J G Bellett, W W Fereday, H Smith, H L Rossier, E. It seems to me to be a better interpretation than the reform/covenant theology model. I was wondering if there were any books on dispensational theology and eschatology that you would recommend that you feel are accurate. When researching online I run into so many websites, etc that absolutely bash the dispensational view. Saying it is the worst thing to ever happen to bible interpretation and that Darby, Scofield, Gaebelein et al dreamed it all up and it's a tool to deceive Christians. But nonetheless it just makes more sense to me and seems to offer better explanations regarding eschatology. I guess I'm just a little gun-shy with all the negative things spoken of about it. Hoping you can help. Thank you! Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5190850745642630460.post-63156198602599268082014-07-24T11:56:13.990-10:002014-07-24T11:56:13.990-10:00(cont)
This is not to bash, but it is to just tak...(cont)

This is not to bash, but it is to just take an honest objective look at the reality. These are facts. The modern state of Israel today is thoroughly antichrist. They have not God the Father because they have not God the Son Christ Jesus - 1John 2:22-23 (the god they have is the god of this world).

The speaker then stated his belief that "maybe even God played a role in this". In this he is correct, except not in the way he suggests, as if it was in a manner God 'showing grace' to the Jew.

The regathering of Israel into the land, as seen today, truly is a 'work of God', but not at all as intimated by the speaker. Ezekiel gives us the details of, and the reason for, God's present-day gathering of Israel into the land before the millennial kingdom. This information is found in 22nd chapter of Ezekiel:

(17) And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
(18) Son of man, the house of Israel is to me become dross: all they are brass, and tin, and iron, and lead, in the midst of the furnace; they are even the dross of silver.
(19) Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye are all become dross, behold, therefore I will gather you into the midst of Jerusalem.
(20) As they gather silver, and brass, and iron, and lead, and tin, into the midst of the furnace, to blow the fire upon it, to melt it; so will I gather you in mine anger and in my fury, and I will leave you there, and melt you.
(21) Yea, I will gather you, and blow upon you in the fire of my wrath, and ye shall be melted in the midst thereof.
(22) As silver is melted in the midst of the furnace, so shall ye be melted in the midst thereof; and ye shall know that I the LORD have poured out my fury upon you.

This gathering described here by Ezekiel has never happened, until now (1948, 1967). Far from anything 'good' coming from 'Zionism', they have been gathered only to be melted in a furnace (20) with "the fire of my wrath" (21) [saith the LORD].

God will of course save out an elect remnant (Isaiah 65:9). This though is another subject.

Anyway, this response is being posted because it is critical to keep a correct perspective on these issues so as to at no time be deceived.

Rev. 18:4 tom m.https://www.blogger.com/profile/15599745604750315747noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5190850745642630460.post-74720111411555344422014-07-24T11:55:26.300-10:002014-07-24T11:55:26.300-10:00re: the "bibleprophecytalk" link 2nd com...re: the "bibleprophecytalk" link 2nd comment above

After listening to the speaker a response is necessary, somewhat of a disclaimer. Overall the speaker is correct with his explanation of Ezekiel 37 and the chronology - coming only after the seventieth week and the second coming, etc.

The contention would be with what is said after that, where the speaker goes into an apologetic mode for the "modern state of Israel".

Beginning at 29:30, these statements are made about the Zionist movement, or the creation of the modern state of Israel 1948 and 1967:

"I'm not making a commentary good or bad...my personal view is that it's a really good thing from a humanitarian perspective...I think it is one of the greatest things that has happened in history...this movement of Zionism came into being...for the creation of the modern state of Israel...from my perspective it is a great thing that has happened...and maybe even God played a role in that"

Regarding the Zionist movement the speaker says it is "a really good thing from a humanitarian perspective; one of the greatest things that has happened in history"; and maybe even God played a role in that" (suggesting that it was ultimately a good thing, a move of God essentially)

One of the greatest things in history - a great thing that has happened? Very briefly, to sanction the Zionist movement in anyway reveals at best a lack of understanding. Anyone that will do the research will readily discover that the Zionist movement has accomplished what they have only through unimaginable brutality and by the overthrow of governments worldwide over centuries. A study of the French and Russian revolutions in relation to Zionism just for starters will give an idea. Nothing "humanitarian" about the slaughter that has occurred over the centuries to create the "modern State of Israel". To this present day, the Zionist program continues with it's brutal global takeover agenda, i.e. the current orchestration to finish off the job with "WWIII".

This is not a great thing. It was The Lord Jesus who opened my eyes to the truth, and it was through the study of the scriptures, Old Testament through New Testament. I had been taught one way, but as I read the word, the Spirit of God began to open my eyes to see that some of what I had been taught is not what the Bible teaches. And so I began to search the scriptures to learn the truth. So, it saddens my heart to see my fellow Christians so deceived and many not willing to even search out the truth.Christsfreeservnthttp://draft.blogger.com/profile/05436752240451893757noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5190850745642630460.post-78976401853137781032014-07-23T15:08:36.734-10:002014-07-23T15:08:36.734-10:00Not really an easy solution to this problem. The f...Not really an easy solution to this problem. The first major difficulty is that on the subject of 'Israel' the error is literally layer upon layer. Breaking through this requires a lot of 'un-learning'.

Compounded by the fact that the vast majority of the professing Christian Church today simply does not really know the Bible for themselves - especially with regard to correct eschatology and how it relates to the Jew. They know only what they have been 'taught'. Straightening out all that 'misinterpretation' is not easily or quickly done. Also, one more important factor to keep in mind always...is that not all believe.

On top of that, the forums abound with people who are there for the sole purpose of pushing the 'meme' that you refer to, and to actively oppose any opposition to the 'meme'.

Not to mention that it is very difficult to find a pulpit just about anywhere where the Judaized version is not coming across; and the same goes for the radio preachers and televangelists, as well the vast majority of 'Christian websites'. The judaizers have all of it covered virtually wall-to-wall.

Bottom line is that only God the Holy Spirit can open blind eyes - Luke 24:16,31; see all Luke 24:13-35

Besides the Word of God - KJV of course, prayerfully studying and learning cover to cover...first first first always,

for reading materials, these may be useful resources for research (as a starting point) . All very well known exposes on 'Judaism'. Not light reading though. A person would have to be interested enough to make the effort.

Very well known expose on talmudic Judaism: The Jewish Religion: Its Influence Today 1963 by E. On at least one social media site that I know of, "memes" abound with pictures of Israel being bombed or missiles shot there, and with messages aimed at getting Christians to be sympathetic toward Israel and to believe they are being persecuted by the Palestinians.
