A lot of problems with Calvary Chapels and C...Cfs,

A lot of problems with Calvary Chapels and Chuck Smith. Some personal knowledge coming from years of involvement with calvary chapels. Left years ago though when concerns of increasing infiltration of apostasy were completely disregarded, i.e. accepted with open arms. Some old posts on CC on this blog; for example: Smith-mormon; Smith-R.Warren; Laurie; emergent

Chuck Smith is actually the co-founder. The partner co-founder was a man named Lonnie Frisbee. He was the 'flower-child/hippie' member of the team. He is not mentioned much in the CC movement. Reason for that is that he was, according to the available history, a drug-using never-repenting homosexual. Seems Chuck Smith nevertheless praised him always. What this reveals is that the CC movement from the beginning was built on a flawed foundation. Search youtube 'Chuck Smith/Frisbee' you can find videos; here is an article on that story: CC Frisbee

The Frisbee-factor aside, the CC movement was founded upon flawed doctrine also, Chuck Smith building CC upon the 'free-will gospel'. Free-will gospel is a denial of the sovereignty of God and his electing grace ... meaning, bottom line, it is unscriptural. [see: election]. This is another topic though. No shortage of opposition to the doctrine of 'election'. Regardless, the fruit of the CC movement in 2020 will testify of itself - the entire movement is now awash in apostasy - connected with apostate teachers and movements inside and out (CC's are generally independent, so not a judgment on any particular one but the overall organization). Searched 'CC-apostasy' - here's a few results:

CC apostasy1; CC apostasy2; CC apostasy3

[links to external sites not do not imply endorsement of site or author - they are for research]

This is very brief. Going into details of course not possible. The 'details' are many though and not positive. Got out myself many years ago because of all of it.

Rev18.4
tom m.https://www.blogger.com/profile/15599745604750315747noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5190850745642630460.post-54536907621002528832020-12-12T18:04:59.304-10:002020-12-12T18:04:59.304-10:00Thank you, Tom, for keeping us informed of any new...Thank you, Tom, for keeping us informed of any new developments in the scheme of things.

I have a side question. You have been helpful to me before in finding accurate information on various teachings or movements, so I wanted to ask you if you have any information on the Calvary Chapel movement and its founder Chuck Smith (now deceased). If you do, if you could provide me with a link, that would be most appreciated. Thank you! Sue LoveChristsfreeservnthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05436752240451893757noreply@blogger.com
