From Wikipedia: Gundam (Japanese: ガンダム, Hepburn: Gandamu), also known as the Gundam series (ガンダムシリーズ, Gandamu Shirīzu), is a Japanese military science fiction media franchise/media mix ... The franchise features giant robots (mecha) with the name "Gundam" (after the original titular mecha). The franchise began on April 7, 1979 ... The popularity of the series and its merchandise spawned a franchise that includes television series, OVAs, films, manga, novels and video games, as well as a whole industry of model robots known as Gunpla (plastic Gundam model).

Gundam giant robots are big business in Japan. And about to become even bigger apparently...walking the streets of the city some time in the future it would seem. Because if they built it they have a plan for it/them. 60' Robocops roaming the world's future sustainable mega-cities [link]? It's right there starting to walk. When the scaffolding comes down...

Take note.
